Mechanic wanted over 300 bucks. Took me 30 mins and the part was 50 bucks. Thanks buddy 🙏
So your time is worth 400 an hour. You must be rich.
Got the regulator and motor for $40, you gave me the information I needed. Thanks, brother
You're welcome.
Thanks for the video. Helped me knock out my 2005 replacement in less than half an hour, all the while teaching my two boys about all the parts involved. It was fun.
Literally the best how to video iv seen. Thank man!!!!
Tackling this task with my son today. Seriously appreciate the breakdown, fast-forward parts and everything. Subbed. 👍😎
you're a lifesaver! it took a couple hours and $85 for the part but my window works now for at least half the price of a mechanic! thank you!
Me too !
Thanks for taking time to make videos and help others.
Made my job so much faster not having yo figure it out from scratch.
Got the part from Amazon for under $50 and took under an hour to install.
God bless you and all that concern you !
Thanks for the tutorial, just finished replacing an old one for a new one and this video helped a lot!
May I ask where you bought a new one?
@@Xicano414 I got my part from advanced auto parts, it was 81 dollars for the part but got it down to 70 dollars in total with online coupons they have on there website so if you’re looking for a part I’d call the store to ask and see if they have in stock then purchase online to do same day in store pick up.
Look for the coupons online and you can usually get it down to maybe around 10 to 15 bucks off, it’s always better and usually cheaper if you wanna save a couple extra bucks.
This just happened to my car, I appreciate this video rn very much.
“Yo! ...Okay bye!” Great video!
Very nice video. It waked me thru it step by step. I like the way he expanded it as if I knew nothing about what I was doing, and I didn't. Thanks and my window now works.
I have the same problem! Thank you 4 this!!! Greets from Ecuador
Thanks for the video. Followed it step by step and my window works with the new part now!
Thanks, made it so easy to. Anybody else reminded of the great Newhart show?
Thanks so much! Me and my dad were struggling but once we trued cutting the wire we were able to figure it out and fix my window! Great stuff man
Thanks man! I tried to do it by myself without any help and had no idea what I was doing. I got pretty far but I didn’t take the old one out. But I could tell they was the problem because the wire was everywhere and that metal plate they holds it into place had fallen down !
Great video thank you, it made it easier for my step dad and I to fix my window.

$605 at the Honda dealer for the regulator; $76 at Advance Auto Parts.
30$ mail order.
Ihave that exact same sky cap!
What should you do if the window doesnt go down the rails as easily as yours did? I went to the junk yard today and my window refused to go down the rails so i had to cut the rubber window frame in order to get enough space to pull the railing, regulator and all through the top. I couldnt find space to detach the window from the rail. Trying to find a way to do it without damaging the window frame rubber if possible when something like that happens
@@theonlynull if your regulator is broke, and will not allow the window to move, you need to either unbolt the window where it sits, or cut the cables, to get the window to move.
Thank you so much!!!
Your name is a little much don't ya think? If I had a name like that, I would try to be less popular, and understated. You are welcome.
@@RustBeltAutono I don't, thanks but no thanks, ok next 😆!
Good Job! Very Very Helpful. What is the Extra plug at top?
I don't know.
There's no power getting to my regulators motor... any ideas?
It's not the fuse.
Possible broken wire between door, and pillar post.
How do I get the window down if it doesn't move easily?
Cut the cable?
@@RustBeltAuto Yep that worked! Thanks
I need to do this but my window is stuck down I can’t get it up!! Any tips? Great video
You might need to unbolt the window, and pull it up.
@@RustBeltAuto Thank you! Does that include the motor? Just need to get the window up whilst waiting for the part 😅
Awesome video, is there a special kind of tape you used to put that plastic sheet back onto the door? Thanks!
I usually use regular masking, or duct tape.
Can I use the main window switch Of a 2004 on a 2002 crv ?
My sources say yes
How do I take the window out? It's driving me mad.
To remove window on most cars, you usually need to pull out the weatherstripping, and sometimes unbolt the track for the weatherstripping. I cannot remember for sure on this vehicle.
He knows his onion
Would I need a new motor and regulator if one of my windows worked but stopped all of a sudden
Best to induce power into the motor to test it.
Thank you good sir.
Any idea how can I get only the 2 plastic that hold the glass, everything is working fine only those 2 plastic are cracked and won't hold the glass anymore
Maybe try the dealer.
You could try a hard silicon from a caulk gun maybe
This guy sounds like Ray Romano
What breaks at 5:04 ????
7:54 what kind of tape is this ?

I tried to push the window down but it won't budge..any idea how to lower it ao I can loosen the bolts?
Your gonna need to get your arm up in there to take them off. Sometimes I can unbolt the regulator, and drop the whole thing down. Be careful, don't break the window, and be creative. Best advice I can give you.
I am still trying to get my window down 🥴
Do you have written instructions for this?
No
How much does labor usually cost?
I don't know.
70$ or more
He said yo

Don't cha know
I'm trying to forget.
