After watching the Trypod episode about Ned being fired, I realized that this episode has a lot of hints on how they're coping up with the issue. Damn
I just noticed that! The Olivia Rodrigo comment was what made my brain pick up on it.
To be fair, Daniel Radcliffe did deal with the negative affects of child stardom, he did have problems with drugs and alcohol in his early twenties. He since is sober and still an amazing person. Love him and love that for him!
Its not that they’re saying that Daniel didn’t deal with hardship, its that he didn’t do things like: pee in a janitor’s mop bucket, get arrested, break into a board meeting at a hotel and refuse to leave cause he spends a lot of money, etc.. I love the comedy work that Daniel has been doing!
@@Blackcanvasart Yes totally! My comment was meant to be praising his hard work and dedication to his craft and to highlight that he did have struggles, overcame them, and was all the while still a lovely person. : )
Learning that he went through those struggles and overcame them made me respect him even more
@@Blackcanvasart he did have people around him that wanted better for him and set boundaries not leeches who wanted something from him
The drama with Ned made me now a new trypod listener
same here
I love this energy of Rainie & her 3 misguided big brothers just letting her do whatever she wants
I was way too high for the first 5 minutes of this video. 😂 Hilarious!
This is so wholesome, I love this.
Daniel Radcliffe was also surrounded by a lot of incredible actors on the Harry Potter movies & was smart enough to take their advice & mentoring
no one talking about how good zach looks. korndiddy, you're killing it king.
*Korndaddy
Agree!
Every dang episode I get distracted by his forearms and stop hearing anything they say
Ugh I’m soooo disappointed in Ned. He really ruined such a good thing
Idk how Ariels husband could do that to her.💔
I know, I'm just in shock. I really enjoyed her in the Try Wives podcast too. I wonder how all of this will affect that in the long run.
dude i know I'm Soo depressed about this I've been watching them since their BuzzFeed days😭😭😭
I'm still in shock
Same. We lost such a great videos in the future. No Ariel, no food babies. Damn I like all those.
Oh poor Zachy, I know he's talking about growing and evolving with the change of Ned without saying it
The convo about changing and moving on while things are still going is so telling
I think Rainie does have the ability to make people feel seen, and it's so cool now that I know she does that consciously, it's why she's so fabulous at interview questions
"A goose has entered the villa." XD Rainie, that didn't get the laugh it deserved.
I agree!
Zach's comment about being jealous of Donald Glover's ability to move on from projects is very telling now given the news
it could be but idk, and regardless he's still right that it's a good quality to have. I doubt that he wants to end the tryguys because of this
I honestly wish more creators would. Donald Glover, Kid Cudi, Jay Z, Rihanna, 50 Cent, Common, Justin Timberlake, Cara Delevigne, Method Man, Snoop Dog, and P. Diddy are all people who've pivoted in their careers.
11:00 I think I get what she means. Like that kind of relationship can be fun bc, well, theres never a dull moment, and you guys and just clashing and coming together in different ways and its cool when something you didnt expect to work, works.
@@teancoffee208 well its easy to pivot when you're stupid rich and can afford to do anything you want
I just think it’s that they all want to be serious creators, they want to do big things. They want to break out of the youtube scene. They are true creatives and they want multiple avenues of creation. He’s inspired by donald glover bc he never gets stuck in the same creative rut he’s always ever-changing and extremely talented. They want to be able to pivot into new creative outlets, as they should. Not everything is attached to that dirtball, ned. He was the most shallow personality in the group. They will do nothing but flourish without him.
The conversation that starts around 24:00 min about how can you end things at it’s zenith and it’s something they’ve talked about and they’re terrified of makes me so sad in light of recent events 😞
What Keith said about Andy samberg and Rhett & Link, like I get it. That one of the reasons why GMM is so successful you can see their friendship and feel like your a part of something special. But I would also say the same of the try guys. I love their channel so much because of their relationships with each other
Who would have guessed this would have aged so poorly in less than a week?
@@natyinthehouse Right💀?
Recent events put Zach's musings on ending chapters gracefully into interesting context.
Can we make really caffeinated Rainie a segment? Call it Red Bull Rainie LMAO
OMG that has such a good ring to it🤣
Can we talk about how the cut out of Eugene is no longer behind Miles
AND the fact that he’s been replaced by a deflated soccer ball?
I feel like I would have to say I'm jealous of Jenna Marbles. She was and is just so radically herself, and she taught me that there is power and magic in that. Hope she is doing fantastically
Unus annus being during Covid definitely made it even more special too because it felt like the whole world was participating and we all were there every single day
The Janitor from Scrubs is the incomparable Neil Flynn. He is hilarious in EVERYTHING he is in, and he did play a character named Mike on another sitcom called The Middle. AND THAT'S YOUR FUN FACT FOR TODAY!
Literally the best, I love that he was one of the only people that Bill Lawrence let improvise. He’s amazing!
He's also the Dad in Mean Girls
Zach's deflation at the end when Miles said "We gotta go." 😭🤣
As a human who also chewed open a glow stick as a child and got it in my mouth: I feel you Zach
I love how Miles gave a nice shout out to Unus Annus. Memento Mori. Boy do I miss Unus Annus. 😭
Back again to ask them to *stop taking Better Help sponsorships* because they're problematic.
how
the synth cut was what pushed me to join the patreon lol ... still waiting for the extended cut of Keith's wedding dress and Eugene's puppet judging scenes
I went to middle school with Bo Burnham, and I knew by the time we were 13 that he was going to be famous
As someone who is listen to every single tripod but never watched the video footage my brain is shattered by the Core of the room I thought it had white walls and bean bag chairs and like mics taped to stands and walls and Myles in a corner😂
I can’t imagine the views on the next trypod, yall
This thought has been brewing for me, and hearing you talk about happiness levels in lieu of artistic expression; I keep coming back to your content because you have a sense of shared joy. A lot of younger content creators/gamers/students lean into backhandedly mean comedy. I have a fear that backhandedly mean comedy will be on the rise in general, and I much prefer when you lean into creative funny rather than "mean" funny. I imagine it is because you value amplifying and exploring what makes you happy rather than what is the best I can do at any particular creative project.
this is what i love about the trypod, i can just hang and chill with my besties (unrequited) and just appreciate cool people, art and music and just be happy.
Zach summed up every relationship problem I’m having rn. Thank you bc I don’t think that ever clicked in my mind
Zack has such millennial buzzfeed voice when he’s like SO WE’RE TALKING ABOUT WHO WE’RE JEALOUS OF
i guess its all hindsight and i dont know when this was recorded but the energy did feel SLIGHTLY off for the past two episodes and everyone didnt feel like they were having as much fun
And they stopped saying “stay beautiful” which was Ned’s thing.
@@henjiin oh damn i didnt notice that also now i know why keith isnt as funny/bubbly after coming back from his tour
The awkward relationship talk 🙈 people who just wanna get laid, dumb people happy genius sad.
Glow stick liquid is generally nontoxic and will at most cause irritation when ingested
the first 8 minutes of this podcast was only what I can relate to being in a room of your friends and its 6 in the morning in a hotel room after a red eye flight and yall have lost it. Its amazing and yes please more dumb sounds.
Truly spectacular.
I wonder how many creators would say the same about the Try Guys. 🤔😁
Petition for Miles to be the new 4th Tryguy!
YES!!! I second this
MILES NATION RISE UP
I Like the Miles but it probably will not happen. They don’t need a forth try guy. It’ll be fine with just the three, I’m sure of it.
Omg I was drinking OJ when Keith said in the lighting round "He's a pilot who's crashed three times and can't die." About Harrison Ford. I now have OJ coming out of my nose. Thank you for my morning wake up call.
I was so excited when Raine mentioned The Middle, because no one ever knows what that is even tho it’s such a great show!! And yes, the character Neil Flynn played in the Middle is named Mike
Keith's reaction to the "tony hawks sound" is what I'm here for. I love the vibe
I’m so glad Miles talked about Unus Annus!!! It’s genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve seen on CZcams, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it since its inception. And I don’t think there can be anything like that ever again on CZcams.
The way my head SNAPPED to the computer when they talked about Unus Annus lol. It was such a cool experience that can be hard to explain when other people weren't there. Very glad it came up!
@@alyssacannaday7684 I was literally just thinking this exact thing. It’s wild to think that I’m part of this small percentage of the world’s population that has gotten to have this unique experience. The only other people who will ever comprehend what Unus Annus was and what it meant are those who also experienced it when it happened. There is no way to adequately explain it to someone who didn’t experience it first hand. It’s truly a “you had to be there” situation.
@@holytreebythewater It really was!! Though it makes explaining my tattoo to people interesting lol.
37:40 reminds me of TSV's Brett and Eddy story. Being childhood friends and achieving their dreams together 🥺❤️
Honestly, I think Ariel is way out (above) of Ned's league. She should just dump the loser and keep the house and kids.
this is my first time watching an ep after years of listening and i pictured this room so much different
rainie immediately shouting she’s so me
I really appreciate all this rainie content, please give me more
50:22 WAS THAT A FRIGGIN FART????
Big Love to the TryTeam! I also fking love when Rainey brings her cherubim chaos to the pod 😂
Bo Burnham and Mark Duplass as creative jealousies… holy shit no joke!!!!
They have carved out such a gentle - yet completely auteurist - creative control over their projects. Both so honest; their work has grown & matured with them in the most impressive ways.
Unus Annus was such a blessing during the scariest period of Covid lockdown, it brought so much joy
🖤🤍
Welp here I am showing support for the rest of the team. I love you guys!
Rainey: "People who are smart, a lot of times it seems pretty miserable"
LMAO as someone with a chemistry degree, who now is acutely aware of how much crap is in the water and air (not from just reading papers, but from my own research)--your statement is kinda true 😂
If anyone wants to know about the science I study, it's below, but knowledge sometimes can also be a burden so do with that as you will:
*The phrase "contaminants of emerging concern" for water is a good starting point to see some of the things that can be found in water (pharmaceuticals, pesticides, artifical sweeteners, etc)
*The phrase "heterocyclic aromatic amines" for air quality since those are carcinogens produced by wildfires (so anytime a wildfire happens in places like California, we're likely breathing some of those compounds in)
Knowledge can be powerful, but it can also induce anxiety lol
I audibly gasped at “chemistry degree” expecting N*d slander. Hopefully he’s suffering a little misery ATM.🤷♀️
@@jadynopolis LMFAO if I recall I made this comment before everything fell to pieces in the last week. I mean I do have thoughts as a chemist regarding Ned, but tbh I think the other guys have had to deal with enough of the bs lately that I'm gonna keep it to myself for now and not add to the mess 😂
I feel your pain so hard.. I study sociology and psychology, especially power dynamics and propaganda. Knowing every little manipulation and leverage technique and seeing them soak every layer of people's life 24/7 feels like calmly ignoring living in a dystopia. It's like.. I'm okay, I'm fine.. but also existentially horrified within some level of my brain at all times. I can't tell whether I'd prefer not knowing; I do want to know but god it's terrifying knowledge you can't unsee.
just randomly throwing this out there but I'd listen to a whole episode of miles and Keith talking about being tall lol
loved this podcast! was listening on spotify but jumped over here to finish it-watching it is the best!
Lol I just did the same!
I’m so lucky to get so many episodes with my favorite pod lineup in row 😭❤
If you’re catching up on recent pods I am so excited for you. It’s been nothing but hits the last like 15 weeks in a row
I started listening to this episode on podcast but after hearing the “horny goose” I had to see the video version 😂 to see what was happening in the studio
“Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time” is not a quote from a TikToker but from American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat 👌🏼🤪
Unnus annus genuinely changed my life and I’m so glad I got to experience it, even tho it was mostly silly, the temporary nature of it made it special, and it’s nice Miles mentioned it
A year or so ago, Daniel Radcliffe was in Nova Scotia with his gf while she filmed something here. My friend was their server at a restaurant, and she said they were nice and tipped well.
I need boots on the ground rainie every week man
Hearing someone explain what Unus Annus is when you were apart of it feels so surreal
I perked up when you guys started talking about plants..I want to hear about your plant babies!
Also Daniel didnt go out to audition, he was sought after by the casting directors. Then when they asked him to audition with Rupert and Emma they just hd grwat chemistry
15:05 ...
I'm 5'5 Keith D: fight me!
The pod is gonna be fire this week
They didn't release a "You Can Sit With Us," so it may or may not appear.
@@nancythomas5387 It's actually on Apple podcasts. They probably wanted to avoid flooding of comments on the video. I do hope that some things get cleared up, but I'd understand if they just want to deal with it internally right now.
@@J_Lauds Good to know! And I think they should take whatever time they need. There's going to be a whole lot on the business end, but I think they need to take some personal time to heal.
Of course, Ariel, Wes, Finn, and Will need all the support and caring that can be offered. But the Guys and the Fam were betrayed, too. It's way too common to brush it off by saying that Ariel et al were hurt worse, so all support and attention should go to their needs. But, as uncomfortable as it may be, if they don't acknowledge the hurt and whatever else they may feel, they'll never heal. And the sooner they do that, the easier it will be.
I'm hoping they're taking care of themselves while they take care of business. I'll greatly miss seeing them on my feed, but I'd rather they come back later if it means they're healthier. So sue me...I care.
So the orange Red Bull is amazing. I love the strawberry apricot. It's so good, we'll in comparison with regular Red Bull.
26:52 mark I wanted to add. I’m taking a psychology of aging and dying course and I learned how memory has changed. There is a competition done every year in New York where all these people gather and try to memorize as many things as they can in a few hours (this can range from poker cards, poems, novels, etc.). Researchers conducted a study that these people have no super memory, but rather they have average intelligence and memory capacity as anyone else. They theorize that technology has allowed us wiggle room to no longer store memories to long term storage because our devices can do that for us. However, what is a life worth living when our lives can be measured in memories?
I’ll have to find the TedTalk on this, but I thought that was an interesting discussion point!
I still can't get over the number of female rage movie/song references that Olivia Rodrigo managed to include in the Good 4 U music video
Shout out to the TryPod and You Can Sit with Us for keeping me (somewhat) sane while I remodel my closet 😰
2:40 “it’s thick, it’s sour and it lingers on the tongue.” - Zach
Me: hmmm sounds like my ex
Zach's outfit is fire in this episode wow i want those socks
The orange red bull is my absolutely favourite energy drink lmao
did you guys know that trisha named her baby malibu barbie
I learned about this yesterday, and ew.
Omg thank you for giving Donald glover his props. I was thinking about how incredible he is the other day watching him on community. His crying on that show is still the funniest cries I've ever seen in my life. I was like how can he be this good....at so many things lol
Well it's time for Miles to take the 4th Try Guys spot. Screw you Ned for ruining an amazing thing.
I AM catching up on the pod. I listen to them once every two weeks while at work typing bi-monthly boring invoices, and I listen to 3-4 at a time. Only have one to go after this one...D-Rad is only 5'5".
Intelligent has a positive correlation to anxiety and depression at a certain point bc you see the problems in the world, know the solutions are right there, but stupid ppl are just stopping it from happening. The majority of human suffering is caused in some way by humans.
And I’ve had many conversations with people where I’ve been like I wish I could be someone who doesn’t think constantly, like I want to be dumb, bc it is exhausting to look around and see people suffer from something that would take ten minutes to fix if people would just do it. Like I want to be a self absorbed shallow narcissist rich white man bc I literally can’t imagine how easy things are for them.
As miles said on perfect person, I always feel like I’m “full of bees”. Feeling everything everywhere all the time
I don’t think it’s idiots messing us up but it is people who don’t have to think of consequences of their actions the way many of us do.
Ignorance is bliss. It’s why tall white guys seem so mellow
these podcasts have gotten me through work
Keith and rainie try every red bull flavour
Props for discussing Equus!
Donald Glover also started out in stand up comedy before he did community! He was on Comedy Central!
The aftermath of N*d actually aged well here. That chapter's over and it's a new shift.
A glow stick exploded in my mouth in the back of a mini van all we had was Diet Coke in the car to rinse my mouth out as I leaned my head out a window 😓
Saying Raine needs "real food" and then offering a protein bar is kinda funny, kinda sad, and a little scary...
I thought the same, I think it was a slip up. They probably meant more calories than cheezits. I trust that they meant no harm
@@nickiebaker l'm not considering harm. It just kinda took me by surprise. I think they meant some protein rather than carbs, but it's all prepackaged and processed. Not what comes to my mind when I hear "real food."
I think they all drank out of hers so she wouldn’t finish it? Don’t ask an employee for a drink or bite off of their fork! Yuck. I’m choosing to believe they were trying to cause her to not complete it.
@@Alkimmie63 Could be! I can't even guess at the why they did it, but yeah...in a post(ish) Covid world, that does cause a hard cringe!
Zach should definitely check out John Darnielle from The Mountain Goats. 1. Awesome band. 2. Great dude. 3. Explains religion in a super interesting way. As an atheist, I can really appreciate that.
zach's haircut looks really good
My family is from South Africa so we call our grandparents Ouma and Oupa as well.
Daniel Radcliff when he was grounded his parents told him he was not to look into the Tabloids about him, radio, magazines, internet ect.
Donald Glover was also a Stand uo comedian and im dying for another stand up from him hes litterally done it all
So JD from scrubs could have been played by any burnett guy and it would have been the same show. The supporting actors are amazing and that makes the show so good.
Idgaf about Zach Braff as an actor but come on girl. That pilot with anybody else would never land. A random brunette man couldn’t make you feel that heavy alone feeling the way he did as JD.
jealousy, turning saints into the sea
35:30 YESSSSS! I absolutely love Mark Duplass My friends and I watch Creep and Creep 2 at least once every year and he is just sooo good!
I gotta know what happened at the wedding 🤣
Absolutely obsessed with Miles’ advice song
Oof Zach just called out why my memory is now that of a goldfish 😭
Did you know there is also a "nocebo" effect, which is the opposite of placebo
Zach’s so right about Colbert and religion
Wow Keith! Calling Miles Quasimodo 😅
i thought Miles was a short king now i'm finding out he's 6 5
I can totally vibe with Zach with Donald and Mindy! I LOVE THEM BOTH! Mindy project is one of my favorite shows.
Mindy in real life is such an icon and I can never forget her in TMP being furious and worried about Josh doing lines of “coke” but not quite so concerned that she didn’t ask if there was more sugar for her to raw dog
Mindy is brilliant
Keith at 31:34 lol
