  • We have come to realize that not all consumers or shops for that matter will verify measurements on the products they receive prior to installing them. We strongly encourage you follow these steps to ensure that things are setup symmetrically before you install them. Check out our website for all your Tesla Suspension or EV needs!!!!!

    What's the torque spec on the top mounts?

  • @jean-francoisfortin710

    Awesome video!! Need help on an information hard to find. I'm looking to raise my MX5 NC that has Flex Z's installed, currently at lowest setting. I know how to do it but the trick question is what is the minimum insertion I need to keep in the lower mount? I don't seem to have a lot of range, but can I have only 1/4 in or 1/2 inch?

      We are Tesla specific so I dont have data for Miata. Please contact Tein directly.

    @zevcentric Is the preload measurement ~245mm accurate for the RWD cars as well? I noticed the reference values are a bit different in the manual. I asked Tein and they said preload should be set close to zero but that setting doesn't work well.

      no it's not. Please look at the instructions they provide. It's all in there

      @@zevcentric No mention of preload or that dimension in the manual.

      @@stevenhendler3064 in the manual/booklet there are diagrams and measurements for setting preload. They have values A-D and a hunch of pictures for you to match your design of coilover with.

    What about rear shock damper adjustment?

    What do you think of the overall build quality of these for daily driving compared to MPP or UPP?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  Před rokem

      Totally different price points tbh. A lot depends on your desired ride heights and so forth. Can't really make a blanket statement. The MPP adjustables are stainless steel so they will withstand winters better for example.

      @@zevcentric Really just looking to get a better quality ride over stock LR suspension with a slight lowered stance to fill the gap with 275/40/20 on with 15mm spacers all around.

    I have tein flex z on 2008 Acura TL, the front is bouncy, do I need to adjust the preload? More load on the springs or less?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  Před 28 dny

      Probably need to stiffen the damping.
