    Please note: For Model Y Induction wheels: The segments should be installed installed clockwise. For the Model 3/Y Uberturbine wheels: The segments should be installed installed counter-clockwise. Applying the clear film is a very important step in the installation process because it protects the wheels long term from scratching.

    I have a 2021 MY LR with 20" OEM wheels, but just replaced my 255/40/20 stock Goodyear tires with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/45/20. Noticable improvement from better tires and extra sidewall on them vs stock but still need a bit more comfort. I may try Teins on the rear as your video seems to demonstrate that's a legit next step. Any recommendations for an east valley shop for this? Thanks!

      @@JetBlackTM9 after it was put on I had to go back about a month later because the spring is settled too low. So after a quick readjustment, I had to dial the rears in just a little bit stiffer. But it rides like it’s on a cloud right now. Picked up my ‘23 MYP in early June and within a week had a set of the T-Sportline 18” TSS wheels and Michelin AS4 tires on. The larger sidewall in combination with the updated suspension has the car riding like a dream. Pre-purchase I thought i would have to go the coilover route, but I’m very happy with the current ride. I may end up doing springs to get the car to sit a little lower however.

      Idk about your idea of "riding like a dream". I've ridden in a 23 MY AWD 19" with comfort suspension, and the ride is very harsh. I can feel every little bump. The only car with a harsher ride that I've ridden is a Ferrari. I've driven dozens of cars over the years, from Benzes and BMWs to Hondas, Hyundai, Ford, Chevy, . The Y's ride is terrible.

      The off the shelf R&T are way stiffer than the Teins with stock springs. The Redwood Ohlins are softer than the standard Ohlins that are $3190 retail.

    • @RLang03
      @RLang03 Před 11 měsíci +2

      @@zevcentric I have the 8/9 KG soft Swift springs with the kit. The entire coilover setup smooths out bumps way better than the stock suspension but keeps it tight around turns and doesn’t feel like you’re in a bounce house. It was really the best of both worlds for me. I didn’t find the Redwood version to be worth the added cost since they both have the DFV, same dampers, and I customized the Swift springs.

    I have a question not related to this topic but a good solution could help a lot of people that store their Tesla’s during the winter months while heading down south. I know that it’s important to keep the car connected to power the whole period with charge limit set to 50% as that is the sweet spot for lithium Ion batteries but what about the breaks I read an article where someone came back from his trip and the break pads where stuck to the discs l and ended up costing him a full break job My question : Is there a way to store the car in neutral so the disc pads are not engaged (same as when in neutral) The car would be stored in a garage so there would be no risk of it rolling away. Thank you in advance for those who can assist

    • @RLang03
      @RLang03 Před 11 měsíci +1

      That usually only happens if water gets in the brake pad and then is frozen while sitting. Before parking you can try blowing some lubrication into the brake pad. And if they get stuck or are making contact because they’re frozen, just drive the car. As the wheels speed and the brake is pushed against the hub it should heat up and come apart. Don’t know how that guy you mentioned needed a full brake job. Sounded like he had other issues than it just being frozen.

    Wouldn’t recommend changing your suspension on a Tesla. Get a 2023 long range MY if you want a good suspension. Tesla will probably void your warranty if anything happens with your suspension

    • @charliewilliams1474
      @charliewilliams1474 Před 11 měsíci +1

      But wouldnt you have a warranty with the company you bought your new suspension from?
      Does changing suspension on Tesla void warranty?
      Like all car manufacturers, Tesla has to abide by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which prohibits them from canceling the new car warranty on your Tesla Model 3. However, if you make the modifications and your car has trouble down the road, Tesla may claim that the problem stems from your modified suspension.Mar 20, 2023

    • @RLang03
      @RLang03 Před 11 měsíci

      You’re replacing your suspension so what would you be trying to have Tesla cover anyway? A third party coilover?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric Před 11 měsíci

      Voiding warranty is a very general statement and not true. They might refuse suspension service for things suspension related if you have coilovers or aftermarket arms. This would not apply to aftermarket tein damper replacement since you are not changing springs or suspension geometry. They should not void a battery or monitor warranty because you did suspension work.
