BTW, do you happen to have any good suggestions for 3D texturing perhaps? (I mainly use Mari and they say officially that it is GPU-dependent, but I'll be interested to know if you have a different opinion? )

regarding your question about 3d Texturing, I do not use any 3d texturing software.
but I think Mari is very good and powerful choice.
there is another point, if you watched the video about how Graphic cards affects rendering speed
this about to change in near future since Nvidia announced new Graphic cards that able to do real time ray tracing this will sure change a lot of things

I have a very lame question. I recently bought SSD 500GB for my laptop. I want to use it to use 3D softwares like 3dsmax, sketchup rendering.... So do I install these softwares again in my new SSD for it to work faster???
I guess it would make the programs open faster from my personal experience, but i havent figure out if it reduces rendering time

Why twinmotion crash during exporting images?

So for OS and software its good to have an m.2 SSD... Then having 3D libraries, materials HDRI in a HDD? and the rendering time does not depend in the assets location SDD or HDD?
Once the assets are loaded to the ram then yes rendering is not affected by assets location since they are are now in the ram.
But if ram is not enough to handle all assets then the location of assets will affect rendering speed. But the effect is not big. There is another point not all rendering engines handles loading assets the same way.

I was wondering ..what was the overall polygon count for the demo scene you used...or if their is a mathematical formula for calculating polygon count based on number of vertices, edges and faces..or are faces and polygons basically the same thing..just different terminologies
I dont remember the polygon count of these sample scenes.
but you can view these statics in Maya directly just go to:
Display > Heads Up Display > Poly Count
regarding polygons and faces this is how Autodesk define it:
"Polygons are straight-sided shapes (3 or more sides), defined by three-dimensional points (vertices) and the straight lines that connect them (edges). The interior region of the polygon is called the face. Vertices, edges, and faces are the basic components of polygons. You select and modify polygons using these basic components."

assalamualaikum sir,may i get your advice?,currently i am having a laptop with i7-7700HQ processor ,GTX1070 graphic card and 8gb of ram,i am planning to use autocad on this laptop,after watching your videos before this,is it okey for me to add 8gb more to make it 16gb total (dual channel) or add 16gb ram to make it 24gb (single channel where 8gb+16gb ) and which one is better?.my autocad already installed on ssd.if you have other suggestion you can also let me know sir.

I am using a laptop with 4gb ram and 1gb graphic card and rendaring process always crashes.does upgrading to a ssd make rendering faster ?
most likely the crash is due to ram
since 4gb RAM is too small for 3d projects
at least you need 8gb RAM and thats for very small projects
You got a good thing going here with such experiments. From this video I concluded the following setup for my 3D workstation:
1. SSD for windows/software.
2. SSD for Current Projects in Process. (work files, relevant textures, everything involved in your renders)
3. HDD for storing BACKUPs / Old Projects / Non frequent files / downloads / my documents etc.

I currently run a SSD - HDD - HDD setup... But I am going to buy an SSD to replace my HDD.
My plan for my old HDDs now is to:
Use a HDD docking station, I can recycle all my old HDD's and use them for infrequent storage / Backups like I did with floppies and Cd's back in the day. I'd basically use regular HDD's as a storage cartridge and keep my files clean and protected. Can't get infected with a virus if its not connected right ? ;p
Hell, if I store them in a metal cabinet ontop of some foam and with my laptop my work would even be protected from an EMP x) ... Thanks for the vid!

Assalamu alaikm. Pls help . I have an i7 laptop with 1tb hdd and 16gb ram 4gb graphics and using 3dsmax 2016. My rendering time for one view is near to 18 hours. This makes my projects keep pending and peding please do help to speed rendering atlease within 4hours for a view.

Sir I,m from india, I,m interior designer so I want full high speed rendering I mean within 30 minutes to 60 minutes so please can u tell me pc congig, and also which is beeter gpu with liquid cooler or air cooler, sir please don't be forgot,
rendering depends alot on your project size.
you cant just get a PC to make a render in 60 min, there is no such pc even if you pay 10000$
some projects will take hours and hours in rendering.
thats why we have rendering farms services such as rebusfarm

This video prevented me from buying an SSD. Just because my project were lagging, doesn't mean it's because HDD.
yes sure the lagging is not because you have HDD
but I highly recommend using SSD it will increase your whole PC performance (running application, loading files, booting .... etc)
and for solving lagging problem you need a stronger graphics card

mentioned the project RAM usage.
