Hang fire, wire pick primer to breech hole. Primer cup filled to primer hole tilt gun to left tap with hand to prime into breech. Thinner ball patch or even paper, should be easier to seat the ball. Enjoyed your video, a lot of work to get the good camera shots. Harder for me to shot video, than the gun.
You're not doing anything wrong, just a ball starter could be useful, also there are B.P dispensers for priming the pan, they help a lot! If You're affraid double loading your gun you can check with your ramrod.
I enjoyed it I just have a couple questions. Did you notice that snow on the ground and it’s cold outside how do you do that in a T-shirt maybe bigger water bottles would be easier to hit and is that pretty heavy? I had a friend that had a real long Kentucky long rifle 50 caliber black powder. Nothing was really heavy. You had to have a tripod like thing toset the end of the barrel in or else you couldn’t hold that long heavy thing up for more than a few seconds
Do you see how big I am? My body produces an insane amount of body heat. I never wear a jacket or coat, not even in Zero degree weather. The only time I wear a jacket is if it is below freezing and I am on my motorcycle. (Not lying). I don't know if it would be heavy to the average person, but to me it is pretty light. The barrel is not that long, so I would imagine that it wouldn't be that heavy to the average person.

Thank you
Also if you put to much power in the pan it'll hang fire every time. It acts like a fuss
Thank you for the input. I am trying to learn more about black powder stuff :-)

For the hangfires, are you using real black or substitutes? I also have hangfires with substitutes!
I am using real black powder. I found out that I was packing too tight, that I should have packed it looser.
