    Sig uses Rocksett muzzle adhesive to lock the muzzle device. If you soak the muzzle end in "hot water" for several hours, it comes off easy. It requires soaking in water to release it.

    Well that is a very cool gun and a very awesome set up you have with it overall with everything included your optics in your stock and everything that thing you probably got close to 3000 bucks into that thing. You could probably get some trigger work done on it if you really wanted to improve that trigger. One thing I would’ve liked to of seen is if you had gone back a little further in and shot at a little more distance. But overall I enjoyed the video. Your videos are like coming home again. Every time you come out with a new one I want to watch it right away

    • @CultOfArms
      @CultOfArms  Před 6 měsíci +2

      That gun set up was more like $5000. $2600 for the gun, $300 for the tax stamp, $250 for the stock, $1000 for the suppressor including tax stamp, and $1000 for the optics.
      Thank you for always commenting 🙂

    What about the drop, drift and holdover of the 300 VS the 5.56 with 77gr in it? Suppressor adapter has rockset on it, stick it in water or steam it and it will come off.

    • @CultOfArms
      @CultOfArms  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Doesn't matter 5.56 is .22 caliber, ya it can go far, but not as effective as .30 caliber. And no, the muzzle device has to be cut off, water and steam does not get it off, I have tried it and so have other youtubers, it does not work, has to be cut off or sent to Sig.

      Like I said, I tried it, didn't work for me. My gunsmith couldn't even do it, he had to cut it off.
      Which models were you able to remove the muzzle device from? Did you put your gun in a vice? What kind of tool did you use to remove it?

      @@CultOfArms 16" 5.56 LT and a 9" 300 BO LT. Had the receivers in a vice block and used a 7/8" wrench. I've been a smith since 1980, worked as an engineer for 24 years and run my own business machining AR parts for 14 years but it didn't take smithing abilities to remove the adapters, just knowing how to deal with Rockset.

    • @CultOfArms
      @CultOfArms  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I wonder why you had success and I didn't. I kept mine in hot water overnight. I then put it on a vice block, and damaged the receiver because of the force I used trying to remove the muzzle device. Like I said before, there are others on youtube that have also failed to remove it this way. It would be interesting to know why you had success and I failed. Thank you for sharing.

      @@warrenbraxton2936 19mm fits over the front of the flash hider. Make sure to clamp the gas block into the vise. I tweaked my upper receiver by not doing so when using a 1/2" impact wrench. But even with my Milwaukee 1/2" impact wrench (breaking torque of 600 ft lbs), it wasn't able to break it free, nor did soaking in boiling water for 30 minutes helped. I ended up clamping the gas block into a vise and using a 13/16" crowfoot with a breaker bar. It came off without a breeze. It was afterward that I found out the upper was already tweaked when the barrel would not pop out of the upper easily.

      You can remove it yourself really easy. Found a tip on reddit and it worked like gang buster. Soak the muzzle device in hot water, doesn't have to be boiling. I let mine soak for 2 hrs then took a deep 3/4 socket attached to my impact drill and placed it over the muzzle device with thin dress sock in between so to not scratch the muzzle device. Three quick pull of the impact drill trigger and it came off fast and easy
