    My first of your guide to Maker. Rapid fire, but thorough, I have a machine on order and due in late July. It comes with one year of Maker, I hope to be able to get started with the software with your help. Most likely, I will watch each in the series and then return to the beginning, repeating to get more familiar with the program. I have watched several of the vendor videos, but he Brit is difficult to understand.

    I noticed you have two tabs at the upper left corner of your screen, one for 2d and 3d. I don't have these on my screen. How can i get them?

    • @Timberfalls
      @Timberfalls  Před rokem

      Hmm that is something that should be there by default. Try going to the window tab at the top and select reset workspace. It will make you reboot the software and reset the layout. If you still do not get these tabs then you will probably want to contact carveco support.

    • @jimhuitt9854
      @jimhuitt9854 Před rokem

      @@Timberfalls the reset workspace didn't work but I started messing around and I got those tabs by pressing the tabbed views option. So everything's ok now.

    how do i get my saved file from my computer to my machine

    • @Timberfalls
      @Timberfalls  Před rokem +1

      That would depend on the machine. When you make your toolpath you would pick which post processor your machine uses and then save the file as the gcode for that machine. Then take the gcode to your machine for cutting. The fourth and final video should go over this more and should be out soon.

    • @Timberfalls
      @Timberfalls  Před 9 měsíci

      Both of those libraries have to be downloaded from the carveco website. When you open that tab there should be button at the bottom of where the libraries appear with the link to download them.

    Can we resize our toolbars?

    • @Timberfalls
      @Timberfalls  Před rokem +2

      In the options is an option that locks the toolbars if you uncheck this it will allow you to make changes to the toolbars and customize them the way you want. Check out my Hacks video on custom toolbars to see how to do it.

    man, you started out great, one thing i think we need is basic instructions, you start on one thing then you go into all of the settings you already went over, not hating, god knows i need all the help i can get but its so confusing when you say your going to do something and you explain everything again, then you go off on tangents about this and that, just be basic lol

    • @Timberfalls
      @Timberfalls  Před rokem

      Thanks for the great feed back. What part are your referencing about repeating something ? It is a lot of info to cove and I often go into a tangent as that detail will be something that is asked by someone later. I help a lot of guys in the Carveco facebook group and try to throw some of those things that come up in my videos from time to time. Sorry if it is hard to follow. I am working on making these go smoother in editing.

      @@Timberfalls I really appreciate it, I'm sorry if I offended you, I'm really frustrated with carvco, getting to understand it and all, I am doing good with fusion360, x-50 woodworker is just about ready to go lol, if you ever saw that guy James, who also does carvco tutorials, his style is really simple for the new people, maybe its just me man, don't let it get you off your square. I truly didn't mean any insult, just a slow down a bit, lol, have in fact watched a lot of your vids and they have helped. Like I said it could be just me not understanding the terms, so, keep going brother. I do have a bad habit of wanting to know everything right now lol, im working on it, and willo have to continue as im sure there will be a lot of mistakes haha loved the bird dish, I'm sure your wife is happy.

      @@Carpenters_Canvas I did not mean to sound offended I truly appreciate the feedback. Its rare anyone ever says anything about that so I like to hear the good and the bad. Those videos started out twice as long and I cut them to move really fast. I am slowly making shorts or all the parts of my videos that should be easier to digest with easier messages tor each part. If your not a part of the facebook carveco users group I would highly suggest joining. I am one of the admins there and you can pm me with any questions you might have. I would be happy to help you get going. Carveco is one of the best CAD programs for our industry and I think you will really like it once you get some of the nuances figured out.
