- The territory of Turks and Caicos has enacted strict laws for carrying guns or ammunition. These new laws carry a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 12 years.
Same happens to lots of tourists when traveling to the US.... So ...
Be careful when traveling
Right
I doubt there’s a 12 year minimum prison term. Show me the proof. 😮
Who the f "accidentally " packs ammo.
It sounds like he used the same bag when he was hunting, and didn't dump out the bag when he got home. Unpacking doesn't always get the small stuff.
America does
@@jturtle5318 bruh my hunting back pack has so many pockets it's easy to get a loose round not fall out when emptying it. happened to me in Kodiak one time and TSA just made me toss the round. this was with a .22LR
@@fauxbro1983it happened to 5 men. I don’t trust coincidences.
So basically TSA in our country failed and didn't identify the ammunition in his luggage. But TSA on the island found it? Seems to be a big break down in a system that is supposed to be standardized. Yet, didn't he unpack his bag during his trip to find it prior to trying to leave the island? Lots of questions hear unanswered.
No the breakdown was own weapons.....
Good point, sue TSA when you get home
Actually it's ok as long as you declare it. Which he did not, or he would have been stopped.
so how did he get it across in the first place? seems like tsa wasnt doing their jobs either
Yeah obviously it's the TSA's fault 😂they should have held his hand and told him a thing that's legal here isn't in other countries.
Amazing they got that far with just 4 rounds.
This is a sad story. I always check my bags before I pack for any trip. A simple check would've avoided a lengthy sentence. Oof hard lesson.
❤💯
The other lesson, is DONT OWN GUNS! And you don't have to worry.
he is so screwed. new law means they are going to make an example out of him and serve a full maximum sentence.
This is nuts. It was obvious that he was not an arms dealer or a smuggler. The "message" that they are sending is that they are typical Caribbean A-hole police officers.
He's actually being released.
@@kaylasmith5439 he should never have been jailed in the first place!
@@arthurfoyt6727Why not?
@@arthurfoyt6727why? Don't their laws apply to Americans?
WOW! We need such border security in the USA!
Why we having millions of guns. Only advanced countries don't allow them..
.
why is he wearing an upside down cross? What was this guy into?
How did they even make on a plane from the US? Isn't ammo illegal to carry on our planes?
1) why leave bullets in a plastic bag in your luggage after a hunting trip?
2) I always dump the suitcases and bags after getting home. No surprise sandwiches or bullets on future trips.
Honest mistake with bullets in suitcase? How are the weapons securely stored?
Why not empty all luggage thoroughly and completely after every trip? Check it again as well as every item before putting it in suitcase. Very irresponsible the husband left bullets in the luggage from the last "trip". Shows he's not keeping track of his ammo. Maybe he will learn a good lesson from this, and as his wife,i would have made sure the bags were checked before packing and checking every item, pants and jacket pockets, etc before putting it in there. His was a BIG mistake.
Cant believe she abandoned him leaving him to rot in jail
They may have a house and pets to look after, and she might have a job to return to.
Love doesn't pay the mortgage.
So, u expect the children to be orphans?
He’s a criminal
@@yeerrr2726he is. Smuggling weapons.
It's either Oklahoma, Florida, or Arizona. Toddlers of the Union. Texas too, but at least there's Fort Worth.
1:35 😭😭😭🤭🤭
There are way bigger crooks inside the caribbeans that should be locked up instead of this guy. Looks like he’s getting punished for being an outsider and visitor.
No, they just started enforcing the law against Americans the same way it would be enforced against citizens.
You’re so used to special treatment you confuse no longer being privilidged with being a victim. Typical.
It's a different country, Hone. The laws are different than the US laws. Always remember that when you're traveling.
@@jturtle5318 I know the laws of the carribeans hone. Better to first fix internal crooks and criminals instead of going after visitors who pay the bills of the entire country hone.
Caribbean Island don't have guns!! It's way safer than this country!
You are quite correct. Those American Tourists are the backbone of the local economy.
No American tourists, and they better like being broke. But the really inexcusable thing here is that Turks and Cacos is not a country. It's a British possession.
This is the sort of thing you would expect the Russian government to pull on American Tourists not the British Government.
He's a criminal. Lock him up and let him serve time. Probably was going to sell the ammunition over there.
@@DIRTYdeeds613 Last time I checked 4 bullets can kill 4 people
Did you all suddenly have amnesia? The same thing happened to BRITTNEY GRINER. She forgot her prescription products in her bag. Social media went crazy calling her names. Have you forgotten that this can happen to someone else?
That why Jesus-Christ said in Matthew7.1-2
I hope that this gentleman was not one of the people who commented on BRITTNEY GRINER. If this is the case, ask forgiveness to GOD, because GOD watches over His Word to accomplish it.
your rights stop at the borders edge----you are not so special
Me thinks wifee put it there.
What about the other men?
Womp womp. Play stupid games…
Wait. White privilege doesn't work outside of America??
@angelusmortis3150
Only black privilege works in America now. It’s rampant. Can’t even get a suspect description from the media on y’all to protect the stigma or basically the truth 🤷♂️ If that’s not criminal privilege I dunno what is
This was no accident.
I see that YOU have never owned a gun and never practiced with one.
@@arthurfoyt6727do you have a lot of accidents with your gun?
@@randomdude5938 This is NOT about a gun. This is about a few stray rounds that rolled into the seem of a bag. OBVIOUSLY this was neither a weapon, a gun, or running ammunition. This is pure intimidation bullshyte for a tin badge little country.
@@arthurfoyt6727 That’s one heck of a seam that can completely hide several rounds of ammo. It is far more likely that we are dealing with careless individuals. That actually makes for another argument: how can someone so careless be allowed to have a firearm?
@@Doc5thMech I can tell that YOU are clueless on the subject and/or never had any small arms training.
It’s not just Americans, it’s anyone.
Anyone is subject to the law there (and everywhere) but only gun crazy Americans, still living with a 19th century mentality, are likely to break it.
Americans are the ones who think laws don't apply to them.
Should NEVER travelled there in the first place.
Why?
Why? sounds like a safe place to me to go on vacation.
This is just for show, the judges have "discretion" to dismiss all charges. The country cant afford to lose toursim.
They should go to prison. If you accidentally kill someone, do you just say oh my bad?
Not even remotely one in the same.
People and there guns......stay in jail now. Some advanced countries don't want your guns and ammo in there countries!! STUPID!
know what you can and cant do in different countries. sucks to suck
