I did find it extremely helpful. You have refreshed my memory concerning these words often confused indeed. Thank you. BTW It will be really cool if you make some video on the differences between AmE and BrEng in which you also try to speak with British and American accents. For my part, speaking with some proper British accent gets really challenging and hardly possible. It would be so much fun. Think about it.

Why thank you! I will. I can only say oh my god, water, better, butter, party, daughter, aluminium and i can't with pronunciation kinda similar to a British accent (cheesy version of the posh accent precisely). It's just the American way of speaking that mostly tends to prevail in media and stuff like this. But I'm still interested in the way the English people speak cuz this is where English in and of itself originates from and it should be considered as well.

СЛАВА ВЕЛИКОЙ РОССИИ British accent is lovely! It sounds so charmingly.. but I should admit that pronunciation is not my strongest suit. And lately I have been focusing on the American one, so imitating British is not a very good idea. But I'll think about it, thank you for the idea! ;)

Antonia Romaker - English and Russian online I find it interesting how English people such as myself can do good foreign accents but most of use do not try, even when speaking in a foriegn language such as Russian, however most other people from other countries struggle to imitate ours.

'Adaption' is not an older word than 'adaptation'. 'Adaptation' was the original noun from 'adapt' and has always been the more popular and correct one. 'Adaption' is occasionally used, but it is usually regarded as wrong.
At 1:24 it is suggested that adoption of an idea etc occurs when the originator of the idea etc has no more need of it or can no longer work on it. This need not be the case and the word does not imply it. Many people adopt the ideas of others, many organisations adopt the practices of others. In almost all cases the early adopters have not abandoned them and everyone continues to hold them 'as though they were their own'.
