Jeangu on Grow: “Emotions, good and bad, are a universal language. I hope this song makes people feel a little less lonely in their search for happiness. LYRICS:
    When I’m sad
    I am unreasonable
    Just like a little kid
    Mad at the world
    When I’m alone
    I am defenceless
Just like the boy I was
    Afraid in the dark
    Don’t take it personally
    Don’t be offended
    Don’t mind my mood
    Changing like the weather
God knows I try to hold it all together
    Oh, I’m getting older
And it ain’t what I thought it would be
    Wide awake
    The planet spins around
A little too fast for me
    Most of the time
    Lost control
    My thoughts are flickering
    Just like satellites
    Lost in the sky
    Don’t take it personally
    Don’t be offended
    Don’t mind my mood
    Changing like the weather
God knows I try to hold it all together
    I’m getting older
And it ain’t what I thought it would be
    One day I’ll find
    Some peace of mind
And then I’ll stop being afraid
I won’t make it through the night
    The more I learn
    The less I know
Through every high and every low
    Oh, I grow
    The more I learn
    The less I know
Through every high and every low
    Oh, I grow

If I remember correctly it was mentioned somewhere that this year they will do something to honor the songs of 2020 that were supposed to be used for the cancelled contest, but I can't remember where I heard or read this anymore. In any case, this is the first time a Eurovision contest was cancelled of course, and I actually think it's really interesting that the majority of the 2020 artists will participate this year again with a new song.

I want to say something about the abrupt ending. I first didn't get it like so many people, but now I'm starting to realize that considering the song is about accepting the heights and lows of life; it's striking that people react to the song the way they react to life. We don't want the dull everyday moments of life, cuz that's boring. We want the climax, the joy, the fun to start as soon as possible. We don't want to wait for it, and we want that to last for as long as possible. But like in life; euphoria does not last long and it can end abruptly by an unexpected turn in life, like: a loss, disease, accident. And you are thrown back to yourself again and you have to come to terms with it. But if you surrender you...… grow.

He needs to be lucky in the allocation draw and get a position at the end of the second half. And he needs that Salvador Sobral staging. Just give him a mike and that sort of a tiny stage which enables him to create intimacy with the audience, and he'll make it to the top spot!

I'm 14, and damn this song is too relatable! It's literally just describing my life Rn in a nutshell. All the girls in my class just wanna grow up,while I'm still subscribed to Flamingo, climbing trees, and wearing my hair in pigtails! When I was seven, I looked up to the Eighth graders and was like "Wow! They are so big!! I'll be like them one day" but now I just wanna be a little kid again.. Now I got all these weird new teenage emotions. I can be sad, angry, or unreasonable at unreasonable times. But one day, I guess I'll find myself.

OMG I 'm not sure why but this suddenly got me in tears and then i just couldn't stop.
People complain about too many ballads. Whoever just counts this as yet an other ballad is nowhere close to understand it.
This is not a ballad. It's barely even a song. This is a whisper. A screaming whisper. It is almost ignoring any established structure, any effort to amuse or impress, it seeks no authority , no prestige, it cares about no competition. It just rises from the most unexpected depths of a soul, unfolds a velvet pair of wings, flies to the skies, whispers straight into the ears of the gods and smoothly comes back to caress the bleeding chin of a lost innocence, feeding it back to itself so it can grow. And it grows. God, it grows.
I think I 'm in love. I definitely found my winner.
