I didn't care for this song, but yesterday he performed it so well, the voice was strong, sounded powerful compared to the others, and the emotions at the end were sincere. I'm happy he qualified, he is a great singer.

Actually it is not surprising that Latvia qualified, they are only who have slow balad. People who loves that style dont have any other options to choose. I like Albania, but I understand why they dont qualifily, just becouse there are 5 more songs in simmilar style :)

Latvia is now the second biggest shock qualifier in esc history with a 15% chance , only 2% more than lithuania 2011's 13%

looked it up and Lithuania actually won the jury vote in that semi
(also I feel like this one is even more shocking because the eurovisionworld odds are more accurate than wherever the odds were in 2011, there's no way Lithuania should've been last in that semi which also had Portugal, Croatia and San Marino)

It wasn't a shock. Latvia has more and more chances beginning with the first dress rehearsal, Belgium Mustii got problems with his voice all the time. I hoped he could be better, but unfortunately wasn't.

Me too. I love the studio version. But he was too fast in the beginning in tempo, off pitch and got drowned out by the backing track.
Belgium went from potential winner to NQ in the space of under 3 months, such a shame because I really love the song

Sadly a lot of artists had a loud backing track, you could hear that loudness even for Joost's performance which scared me the most but thankfully he qualified. All songs that had a loud backing track can do so much better in the finals if the backing track is lowered down by a lot!!!! @@MariaCarabin

The Armenian girl is the most laid back among all. By the end was obvious how Georgian girl was tensed and worried, Jako was totally relaxed even when her band was on the verge of disappointment.

Caucasus and Benelux did a 2/3 (even though if you ask me Belgium absolutely should've qualified and Luxembourg shouldn't have qualified and the Caucasus should've been a 3/3)
