Isac dafuq man?
Lol, this thread is CZcams comments in a nutshell.
As an Indian, i can totally apprehend every word in your statement! ♥
love everything, her voice, the melody, and lyrics. To each his own I guess. To all the naysayers...there's plenty of wealthy country western singers that whine and lament their hard lives, dressing like cowboys and never sat on a horse. They're well loved by lots, to me they all sound the same.
You're right.
Her new album is easily the best album that I have heard this year in any genre. The reviews have been from good to great. If you are only into today's lousy pop music do not bother. That is not what she is about.
I love her lyrics and sound, great entertainment selection. :)
I'm in love with her voice :) she's amazing 👍
"THE SWEETEST THING"
!!!BEAUTIFUL!!! Her talent hasn't been scratched!! Just watch!!
I've seen Hurray for the Riff Raff three times in Birmingham, AL. They are always great live with an Americana feel. She has a very unique and beautiful voice. Somehow though, it never comes through on the television appearances. This was an odd choice for such a platform. Her chief song writing partner left the band after their previous album, so she may be going in a different direction.
Interesting response.
I've been listening to her band for years. I think its awful how people are judging her as "privileged."
Theodore wow yeah. I once spent my last $300 to bail her trainhopping band out of jail. Met her in a squat when she was 16, she is not at least monetarily privileged. She has worked hard her entire life. ♥️
@@bernsky Boricua from the Bronx but talks white and looks white so she's confused as white but she's as Latina as Freida... and the Bronx is usually described as the poorest city in USA mainland, well corrected for cost of living since you can have everything you could ever want in New York but you just cant afford it and you're stacked like sardines high above mean streets. Puerto Ricans are the poorest US Citizens due to colonial status and receive less aid and compensation for their struggles than even your blackest and whitest Mississippians or Michiganders in Detroit. And she ran away with nothing to run away to potentially nothing but an ill fated death or drunken folly away from life in prison. Idk that may not be the most odds but that's alot of them.
Am I the only one hoping for her to sing the Sonic R song of the same name?
You've got to keep the dream alive, indeed.
Nice song nice voice doing good..
Is there a second video with the chorus of this song?
yea baby
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS

Can't wait to share the stage with her in Brighton in a couple of weeks!

The music reminded me of room service by brain adams
Her music is much better than this performance would have you believe.
This is Ted Wigs' favorite version of his favorite song by his favorite band.
Phillip Williams 😂😂😂👌🏻

reminds me of bob dylan the early years
A bit Suzanne Vega sings Leonard Cohen. I like it! They have a nice set at NPR Music
She looks like Aubrey plaza
yes!!
Really? Who even knows who Eddie Brickell is anymore except maybe Paul Simon.
She was pretty much a One Hit Wonder, I think I have Her and The Not so New Bohemians CD filed next to "Men at Works ".or maybe Patti Smyths "
Yes I agree it is but NO ONE under 45 is going to have ever heard it unless they are really music savy and E.B. is a much better performer then A. Segarra or was when she performed,
That or your Parents were .
It is great to see this kind of exposure for a great talent, but, I miss the other members of the band.

Wow! She's come a long way from the dirty train hopping banjo player that I met 12 years ago.
She still has knuckle tats though.
Sixto Rodriguez
I am the second one who's watching this video travel Naval I am a big fan of yours keep making that kind of video I love this kind of video very much and whenever you scorching Donald Trump I love that part so keep uploading that kind of video I love I love you a lot I like you
why is their a music performance on a comedy news show?
If you want to keep growing Trevor Noah you need to be more aggressive with uploading your vids to keep people talking and reach a wider audience! Best of luck!

Hidden message: our inner cities are terrible, we need to deploy the military
-The President
I really like her voice and her phrases and lyrics are interesting, but that chord progression becomes monotonous quickly. She would benefit from mixing it up a little...

She sounds like female Sixto Rodriguez ;)
Nice (if not derivative) song but living in the city is probably pretty easy, easy, easy for popular musicians. Living in the Sudan or elsewhere in the developing world is probably hard, hard, hard.
Not the best of her songs; saw her on Democracy Now--she's the real deal. Interesting, tough cookie.
Nice music.. but where is Trump?
Commander Rednaxela By the ppussy?
PS: the extra p is for more pussy.
I came here for the lolz on politics, WHERE IS MY ENTERTAINMENT?!?!?!
bob dylan's daughter, huh?
Trevor Noah I'm a big fan of yours please do some extra ordinary things I know you can do it and one day we will see with your ex Uber rate personality

Becky knows her ass don't live in no got damn City. lmao
Yeah, the Bywater is real suburban. smh
Really? Is living in the city hard? Shocking. (lapses into coma)
I commented first in the place of comment box
man, going in dry without the band.... wasn't a fine choice :)
This is a great song, but it's not as good without the full band behind her.
I thought this video related to Donald Trump but that is this some kind of music playing that girl by that girl
First time that i have that "they don't even try anymore" feeling regarding TDS
It's a musical segment. Every late show comedy has guest musicians. How does this affect TDS in general?
Well that was a disappointment
Tracy Chapman: Millennial edition?!?!? -_-
Please...give her some real books so she can write real songs!!! this wasn't bad, but it was too inconsequential to be considered!!!
If the first word of your song is "well", you probably need to rethink your career.
Sorry, but all I hear is: "Oh I wish I were Bob Dylan... Just wanna be Bob Dylan... Why can't I be Bob Dylan... Well it's hard, it's hard, it's hard... Not to be Bob Dylan."
John Redberg Agreed
I think she and her band are just starting out. a may be wrong; I've never heard of them before. but often young artists imitate the style of artists they look up to and get good at that first before taking that sound in their own direction. don't know you well enough to say for sure, but being a bit more positive might help.
yet all pop singers sound the same and no one bats an eye.... what the hell does it matter if she like bob dylans style? I'll never understand the people who want everything to be unique. NOTHINg is unique.
John Redberg hmm, u taste salt in the air
emulating other great musicians isn't a bad thing! I love bob, and I love hurray for the riff raff. Take a listen to blue ridge mountain. It's one of theirs that's been out a while.
she plays better than she sings tho
naw
/David Bowie voice "'S not a very good song, is it?"
what a cliché fest...
yawn...........
