As a married woman, one must not forget that a wedding is basically one big party. To enjoy it, one must not stress over every single detail. Food, drinks and family/friends is all you need.
@U2_U they’re probably referring to the reception. For me, personally, it was just a useless party with people I didn’t even want to be around. Waste of money. I really wish I could have gotten married in front of the officiant, and my dad. Maybe my husbands parents, then no reception. Just literally leave for honeymoon after. Lol
As a penguin lover, the fact that Paul chose to draw PENGUINS for the wedding invites makes me immensely happy! 😅
This sounds so perfect. I'd say a SEASONED wedding planner would LOVE to have a totally open couple saying 'anything you think is great'. They'd have connections in place, they'd know who works well with them, they'd know what things turn out perfectly etc. They could make those decisions in a split second. But a person who has never planned, might've wanted some direction b/c the choices can be overwhelming and they don't know what will work out... and the pressure COULD be a lot if 'their choice' doesn't work out. But if they're totally laid back and happy to create with people... I'm sure they were totally fine with it.

I'm battling depression at the moment but watching the two of you always brings me a smile. I can feel the live you have for each other through the screen and it warms my heart. And I live the fun and shenanigans too, your both hilarious 😂❤
My favourite part about the premiere countdown is that it was so intense before we hear Paul and Matthew giggling and smiling.
I’m sure both Matthew and Paul handled the wedding preparations with a great deal of thought and did so very wisely. I don’t believe either of the Pengrooms were groomzillla.
Just as well you don't use linen ( or cotton ) because they're notorious for wrinkling and don't wick moisture from your body. Blends of man-made fabrics are better in the heat for keeping you cooler. You can see that in "athletic wear" which is superior and rarely use natural fabrics. Natural fabrics simply don't perform very well.

I’m a wedding musician. I like a balance between specifics and “up to you” - like pick two songs you like and tell me how you feel about Pachelbel’s Canon and I’ll do the rest.
I love the idea of doing the vows at sunset. I’ve always wanted a beach wedding and a wedding at sunset on the beach sounds like the most beautiful wedding ever. Then the reception can be a bonfire on the beach. I live in SoCal and love beach bonfires.
We almost went with a beach wedding before deciding on the rooftop instead!

Omg you two are so cute. The way you two sign in sync with one another. Our wedding planner didn’t listen & our flowers & cake were late. We were very laid back until she started being bossy after she was late on everything.

I think wedding planners must have nightmares about the abysmal "creations" they were required to assemble in order to please self-confident but misguided couples! A truly perceptive and creative planner would most likely love the freedom to create a unique and memorable wedding experience that honored the betrothed individuals; planning the entire process, from interviewing the couple to clearing up the happy wreckage of a long and joyous day ❤️

This is all absolutely adorable. :) I can say the only think i would go back and change about my wedding was my hair. They way it was cut did not leave a flattering profile on my right side and I still don’t like looking at my wedding pictures because of it
We got married almost 5 years ago and I was told I was the easiest going Bride and that it made it so easy. Any questions on that day were usually answered with I don't care what do you think? It made it such a relaxing fun day and one that everyone loved.
Hey I saw your video about Paul loving drawing and I wanted to recommend, maybe he would also enjoy wire art! I love and do both and working in wire is a whole lot like drawing, but it’s something you feel, it doesn’t necessarily require much vision because you can feel it by touch! If he likes it that is one way to do art still even if it’s not a good sight day!! One artist to check out wire work by is alexander calder!
I would imagine the planners loved how easygoing you guys were! I'm divorced now but when I got married, it was a destination wedding elopement style in Maui circa 2010. My ex insisted on a reception when we got back. I moved to Hawaii to attend college when we split cause that was how much I loved it there.
For me and my wedding, I went to multiple venues and they all had a set menu and you could pick your choice of protein (chicken, steak, veggie), which appetizer you want, and dessert. But there was always a set menu to choose from. So there never was any “you can choose for me” or “I want this type of food”

In the first 2 minutes, the only explanation for that sound is Mr maple giving himself a bath. My fiance and I were living in NY and we were going to be married in my hometown in CA. I left the planning to my mother. She would ask and I would say, I don't care, you decide. Which was the truth.
I remember her saying in exasperation, SOMEONE has to pick!
And it all worked out, but it's also true the the few things I did want, I didn't get.
-- I wanted regular apple juice, so the kids would enjoy it; she got "fancy" pressed apple juice.
-- I wanted a small bouquet; she picked a bouquet the size of a two-year-old child (well, big)
-- I wanted a delicious cake, even if it weren't beautiful; she got a gorgeous cake with a fine but not amazing taste.
It was all lovely and we've been married almost 30 years, so that was long ago.

I used to be a Wedding Planner and there is nothing worse than bridezillas and groomzillas who are forever changing their minds even at the last minute.
It isnt bad to leave all the work to the wedding planner, that is what they are hired for.

I have a character who's a wedding pianist in a setting where just about every marraige is arranged for convenience, and she absolutly has no interest in marraige or romance or anything of the sort because of all the arranged, unhappy marraiges she's seen (so of course she's in a romance... which is sure to be interesting because I'm ace and not into romance. I wrote a short story about them years ago and when I reread it even I was invested, so I had to rewrite it and give myself closure, however hard it is for me to write romance. It's entirely possible that past me who wrote it was not ace because I have DID and that could have been an entirely different person. In which case, dang it she destroyed me!).
