    Honestly I think people commenting on how other bands are so much better and such need to chill; we aren't perfect, but we're a high school band, not DCI, we're in it to have fun, and none of will deny that band fest wasn't our best run of this show. On a side note, be sure to stay updated on our next show, Cyclone, we'll be debuting this season. It has a more complicated drill and more advanced music. There's also rumor of props and such, we're all very excited to see how it looks.

      Also, for anyone who wants to see what the band looked like when we had a head director who only focused on being loud, feel free to check out our 2013 UIL show, the drill and execution were awful, but hey we were loud which is what certain people in the comments seem to want lol.

      Agreed, I was in marching band back at high school last year and it was a fun experience for me and my friends. I found your guys band in my recommendations and I couldn't believe they had bands like that in Texas. You guys are awesome group of people and don't let nobody put you down for what you guys are doing. It is kind of annoying to hear fanboys talking about Japanese marching bands are better than US but the point is the both of them are good in their rights and love watching both. Nice performance.

    I am so proud of my band! We're the best now and still Allen Eagle Escadrille... Ha!

  • @timothylawrence-belle1352

    What makes Allen so wonderful is that if a student wants to be in band, they’re not denied the opportunity! It’s all inclusive. I’ve been to 2 live performances and neither did they disappoint (one of those being on freezing rain against RR Stony Point in Waco)! The high school made band “cool” which is awesome by all means! I am the lone band sponsor from south Texas:) I love this band!!!

      Who's being denied entrance into any marching band? Go back to the mid 2000's and Ohio State (who Allen rips off quite frequently, to include the fight song) were doing 80's rock. The worst that happens is little Kyle doesn't make it as 1st chair in show toons.

    as a member of this band i can truly say our band isnt perfect but we let anyone in the band that wants to join and we have a band community that brings us together. I just hate it when people say with a different director we would be winning state well im happy with the director this year and we put alot of time and effort into band i wake up at 5am to get to band practice by 6:30

      @TakkuriHimare Před 8 lety +2

      There isn't a "purpose" really we just only have one high school in our city so all our groups are pretty big. We're known worldwide for it now tho so we have no plans on cutting a bunch of people from the program lol

      woolly65 Not until they physically have to. It won't be for a long time, they're more likely to expand the freshman center to accommodate sophomores than build a second high school.

    As a member of an award winning band in Texas this group is massive, yet my alma mater out marches this and other groups in all classifications. Still proud of these kids representing the State of Texas. Great job Allen High...

      It's Allen...they just think they are better in general. So glad Westlake beat them in the semifinals in football. Hopefully they will get knocked off earlier this coming year.

    As usual...impressive to look at but very boring and lame performance. That's too bad...a real director would have people standing and cheering for the performance of this band instead

      +Kenneth Mills My band (William Mason) has most of the freshman and some sophmores become shadows which are people who don't march the show. The shadows in our show became dancers around the props. I don't understand why this band doesn't do it.

    • @SuperMarlock
      @SuperMarlock Před 8 lety +3

      +thatoneguy285 we used to do that 4 years ago. Back then it wasn't really a marching band, but more of a show band. The new head director who took position 4 years ago wanted the band to be a "force to reckon with" at our marching competitions, as he stated. But our director and our show writer thought that the field would be extremely cluttered. We still have shadows, but having them on the field serves to make the field more cluttered. Our show writer has begun to write sets where he puts half the band in a small formation usually in 20 yards or something. 400 people in 10-15 yards is still not a good idea for us.....a lot of people could get hurt from trombone slides. And that's experience talking 😂

    • @num1trainer2008
      @num1trainer2008 Před 8 lety

      They can't march in step, they are not in sync, and for as big as they are they should be louder. This band is by far not the best in Texas. And why their drill team marches with them I will never understand. If this band were to switch and become a military band I think they would have better success.

    • @kmills62
      @kmills62 Před 8 lety

      I can name a few band directors that could have this band winning the Grand National in Indianapolis....all about the director. But, maybe the current band director believes the kids should have fun and not concentrate on the discipline and hard work required to win trophies? I don't know. But, I do enjoy watching a well oiled machine out on the field going through their paces. Go to the video for Cedar Park High School and see what a really really good band looks like

      They have a new director for marching this year. We'll see if it'll get better
