Wow I haven't watched this video in like 4 years. Glad to find it again! Love hearing those altos with me being a sax guy, butt those flutes at the end were amazing. They stole the show for me😍
Not hardly..don't know the exact number but four or five thousand attend this high school. It's massive with each floor being different levels of grade. One high school for this community. It works very well for them!!

How does this even happen? They need about 3 or 4 new high schools in that area. If anyone noticed...they didn't sound that loud when you consider the size. Better to have a small but dedecaded band instead of a big one with people just holding instruments.
We are dedicated to someone that does go to that school and marches in that band we work our butts off. We start practice in July and in August we March for 10 miles in the hot Texas Sun. We are a one high school town and we are very proud of it. We do not exclude anyone out of the band if you want to join then join. We are dedicated so come down to Texas and watch how dedicated we really are.
Because if you brought the idea to anyone in Allen, they'd shun you. We aren't in it to be the best of the best, man, we're in highschool. We're leaving the competition up to the football team.
The Band is in class 6A in UIL Competition which is made up of the 251 High Schools in TX with enrollments over 2,195 students. TX Bands compete against schools of the same size, not Band Size. Enrollment at Allen is 6,664 students as of Sep 2017. The people in Allen have never wanted to have more than one High School in the city. They have done well. The School is also the UIL 6A Division 1 State Football Champion.
Please tell me they at least did Born to Be Wild or Ironman like they used to. That made a band cool and had the college vibe like Ohio State, that Allen routinely ripped off.
I feel like their woodwind section can make a 6A band themselves 😂

Their was one director during my time there that remembered EVERYONES names. I think we had over 800 members at the time

6A which is the largest classification in Texas. The school has about 6300 students.

You must have a team of 10 Judges to rate this band. And thats just for marching.

i’m a 6A band in texas as of this year. our band has about 350 people and our school has around 2,500 i’m pretty sure
