- We finally turn the key and fire up our Beams 3SGE Blacktop swapped 1977 Toyota Celica, thanks to the help of Nam from NV Auto who finished off the chassis wiring and configured the Racepak Smartwire PDM prior to start up.

First starts are always satisfying even when it's not running right. I still remember jumping up and down like a little girl when my Datsun fired up for the first time ever. It was a 12 year process and several months of hunting down issues to get it to fire. Now I'm getting ready for the 1 year registration renewal.

Damn seeing that wiring harness just gave me the motivation I need to go threw and redo the harness on my 4age swapped 6th gen
congrats and hats off on the start, letting Moose start it was also a nice touch--Thanks Moose--its called false air, that means air is bypassing the measurement device often false air at the manifold will make the RPM shoot up to like 4K RPM so you might have a air leak at another spot.
Look at moose all cleaned up, looking sharp big fella.

Dave, you'll more than likely have to balance the throttles once you get the vac leaks sorted out and before you start tuning it properly. there is a main idle screw and individual idle screws for each throttle body. using 4 vac gauges and plumbed into the vac nipples under the ITBs you will be able to balance it easy enough.
its a bit time consuming but worth it in the long run.
Apparently these factory ITBs never fall out of sync but if we do then that will be our method, thanks!

lol Daves crazy excitement and that Frankenstein thing was the best I've seen in a loong time.
A few more serious things, that oil pressure sensor mounting looks very risky, I know those sensor are light but I would still use some support or remote install it with a short hose. If that thing snaps off due to vibrations or similar you got a very bad day.
Please use some more protection on the main power wire that runs through the cabin, I hope it's just temporarily installed now.
Last thing, get those throttles synced :)
Yes, we'll be changing the sensor onto the sandwich plate for the oil cooler!

remember what happened when you decided to apply some silicone to the sump of the S2000 when you are figuring out how much silicone would be adequate for the ITBs ;)

This has been my favorite build so far besides the s2k. Sounds great but may I suggest some bride Low max seats? The reclineable ones just sit much lower than the seats you have now.@speedacademy
we're going to test fit a friend's Cobra RSR seat. It's a vintage style fixed back seat. Hoping these will gain us the headroom we need.
