- This small eurorack modular synth module has already totally changed the way I interact with the system. Anyone else doing anything like this?

I watched that floating points video 2 years ago and IV been wondering how I could do it myself ever since. Thankyou so much your videos are always so useful. Seriously the best
Thanks Ben, glad you’re finding them useful!
Bro that patch is insane awesome stuff
Good breakdown and demo. Gr8 system and cool sounds.
super cool stuff. Seems like you have solved one of the hardest things in modular which is to have those big transitions.
Thanks man! Yeah transitions are always a struggle but I think basically mapping lots of controls to one control to make big changes is pretty key!
I started to count all the good ideas in this vid, and ran out of numbers. Well done!
yet another incredibly good--i.e. helpful, inventive, clear & illuminating--demo. a thousand thanks to you, niven.....
Really cool! Might be worthwhile getting 2 of them hmmmm. Thanks for the tip man!
Been thinking the same thing!
Much cheaper than finding the Source Audio reflex expression pedal!
Nice demo and I’m sure an interesting idea for many an modular person. I like the reverse resampling back into squid too. Keep up the good work and might add that into some of my demos too.
amazing !
Thanks!
Would love to know how you patched up that kick. Great tone!
Thanks man! I actually talk through making pretty much this Kick sound in this video - czcams.com/video/Lmwpi4zVcCY/video.html
@@nivenofficial Ah, great! Thank you!
Cool vid! Doepfer has tons of cool little designs 🙀On my channel I show a bunch of these amazing little Doepfer utility modules in my ‘Polyverse’ vids as I build a Doepfer poly synth
dang, that was rad. ive been using a NE lapsus os in this same kinda macro control style but a footpedal is a way better idea
Yeah its been a lot of fun so far, I'm looking forward to bringing it into more patches.
Thanks for your video's Niven!! Does any one know which footswitch to use? I tried lots of footswitches that I had lying around. It will always send out a rachet of triggers from the doepher module. Not very use-full. The expresion input works great bytheway!!
Good vid man. I do have a question though - Why don’t you simply say “Squid Sample”? You wouldn’t call a salmon a “sallemon”… Well maybe you do, who knows?
man $60 for an interface to add one (1) switch and one (1) pot to your rig. eurorack kinda feel like a scam sometimes
don't use it
If it get's you exactly what you want in a control scheme, then I'd say just about any price is worth paying. Also, buying eurorack used pretty much ensures that you can sell for the same price you pay, the demand stays pretty steady.
yer i get that i'm just saying when you think about the actual electronics behind a module like this it's almost nothing at all like literally just connecting a trs jack to a power rail innit
Eurorack is just too much of a unique item. They don't sell enough, so companies can't afford to make them alot cheaper. Building a dream synth was never gonna be cheap
