@@ClubsOG there are locks that you can’t pick like Medeco and Multi T.
This sounds like a great tip for how to pick a lock you already have a key for.
Not quite. While the bitting will differ, the pin locations will not. Having these witness marks helps you get a feel for how far to put the pick in for each pin. After a while, you’ll know by feel but having a visual reference at first really helps.
This is great advice for training... I need to try this.
Imma just.. *Screenshot* TIME TO 3D PRINT AHHAHAHAAHABABHSBBUDI-
This really helped me a ton, since I struggle with hitting everything but the pins, and I often fail to pick locks that aren’t my clear see through ones or a cheap master lock.
Thanks for teaching ,now i can enter my neighbour's house when they aren't home💀😂
I bought a lock picking kit bc of you. Seems like fun! It's coming in, in a day or 2. 😊
"Thinking quickly, Dave constructs a homemade key, using only some lock pick, a squirrel and a key."
“Mine is a little more gurthy” 💀
Genius tip. Thanks, man.
lol I actually did this when I started, it's how I was able to pick my front door for the first time. What a rush.
Too many people are not getting that this is a practice situation.
This is an effective way to practice more efficiently, train up until a situation arises when this skill will be necessary.
I made a comment about this, in which I said that you must steal the neighbors key in order to pick the lock after taking the key out. Two people are upset about that comment. I am fully aware that it’s a practice technique, I was just making a joke, and I think that’s what is happening for most of the other comments.
You stick you pick in and your not sure what your doing or if you're hitting the right pins.... This feels wayyyyyy to relatable
That's a really good tip!
How to pick a lock if you don’t have the key:
Step one: get the key
"for your education, mine is a little girthy"
If you're going to quote someone... at least do it right. "For educational purposes mine is a little extra girthy."
The 42 people who liked your comment are probably brain dead.
Simple but a great teaching tool.
“Get your key”
Burglar:” …well shit.”
“Aight so first, to break into a place with your lock pick, you need the keys.”
Tell me you're not learning how to lock pick without telling me you're not learning how to lock pick
The point here is obviously not to get it open or you'd just use the damn key. It's to learn what pins feel like
I hate seeing so many fucking braindead comments like this
I picked a lock with a pair of nail scissors. Even if it was most likely a bad lock I still feel proud considering I've never picked a lock before and that I can still pick it. My siblings needed their medicine but my parents had forgotten to give it to them before they left so it was the lock to the medicine cabinet thing
Rhats actually so helpful
this is a super helpful tip thanks a lot!
"Are you struggling to pick locks? Try having a key"
No?
This is advice for beginners on how to learn lockpicking.
"you stick your pick in but your not sure what your doing or if your even hitting any pins" relateble 😔
