- Today we take a look at ABP Food Group, Tranmoor Point Lincolnshire Way, Armthorpe, Doncaster DN3 3FF.
We are immediately greeted by security who tell us @PJAudits visited the site recently and he knows all about the videos we make.
As security retreats we start walking around the outside of the site and unfortunately this is where the problems start.
We make a note of every problem we find and attempt to communicate with someone inside the business about them.
Communication fails so we publish the video for everyone to see them for the first time together.

Thank you DJ I've recently started life in a wheelchair after a spinal injury. I'm a photographer. I specialise in urban photography, thank you for highlighting photographer rights I can't wait to re learn how to take pictures in a chair. Obviously here that would be very difficult as I can't access the pavements again thank you..

I've got a spinal injury and limited mobility too Paul coming up to 5 years, it takes time to adjust but stay positive and enjoy your photography. You will always come up against barriers and ignorant people with little regard for people with disabilities but they are in the minority, keep enjoying your hobbies.
The big green grass desert at the back of the building, could be turned into enough extra parking space to remedy the road/pavement congestion issue.

What people don't understand is wheelchairs can't go up kerbs so the trip back and round is MUCH longer and much more tiring and all it takes is one car on the pavement on the other side and you are trapped.
Wheel chucks is usually using for trailers parked on bays for tipped or loading, never for parked trailers. If you audit COSTCO M1 J 18, you will see they are using automatic / electric wheel chuck. some companies, they are using suzy lock's, on the red air line. Well done ,good job

DJ….I have a conflict with wheel chocks. I understand in early trucking times, if the truck lost its air, it lost its brakes…..now, if a truck loses its air, the brakes are automatically applied. Good luck moving it until air is restored. Having said that, any manual transmission, that requires a hand brake, absolutely!
Even my truck now, can NOT idle up, without the brakes on. Responsible drivers will double check with shipping/receiving BEFORE they move their truck.

Evrething has to stay inside and the inside has to be refrigerated. The so called cold 🥶 chain from the slaughter to the customers trolley can not be interrupted. To garantee the highest quality of product. I'm not talking for that company but I used to be a butcher and thar is what I have learnd right at the begining at my apprenticeship 35 years ago.
Can you report the dodgy parking on the Council website and get a team of traffic wardens out there? They will have a field day issuing tickets.
i have same issues on my road once a month caused by a local business. We lose parking outside our house and my wife recently had to park 4 streets away with a young baby and shopping bags in the icy conditions and had to carry everything in herself (i was at work). It also destroys the grass verges and makes the area completely muddy.
I have tried the council and because there is no double yellow lines they won’t enforce anything. 101 to police say only if there is a serious obstruction. All lazy c u next tuesdays
will be auditing their next event. DJI mini ordered also for aerial shots. Hopefully be able to gather enough evidence with other residents to make them listen.

@@nigeats6733 yep, they have 'em where I live. They come round in a mini-bus when there's a complaint and blitz the area and make a fortune in one hit. I do like the idea of them sitting around in a ready room, eating doughnuts and telling tall stories with a red telephone to scramble them though.
Traffic wardens cannot do anything about pavement parking, only a police officer van issue tickets for that 👍
I don’t think that would get anything resolved, and certainly the company wouldn’t pay for the tickets the drivers receive, it’s the company at fault but the employees would have to pay for it, police are a better call to investigate here.

Hey DJ I know you like small details. But! you only need chocks for trailers when on a loading bay.
The one you highlighted wasn't on a loading bay, so didn't need chocks. That was the only one you filmed btw.
Also I would think that all traffic in and out has to use the weighbridge, so the barrier just prevents missing the weighbridge.
What you should have done is told the lady on the phone about the parking and that you are going to report it to the local council and the police as it is a safety hazzard for both drivers and pedestrians a like, explain that as the company already knows about it and continues to allow it's staff they could be fined and prosecuted, when these types of things are mentioned to the owners/managers etc about its going to cost them money they will soon run around like headless chickens to get it sorted so they wont have to pay out of their pockets.
It would be interesting to return to the site in 2 months to see what has been rectified.

Apparently when it says "should" it isn't illegal. I think if it covers the pavement as much as it does in this video it should be illegal but good luck getting anyone to care about it.

That officer was so close to a law suit, Jumped straight in with section 43, without ANY investigation at all. Not to mention even if you had recorded a data breach, the onus is on THEM to keep it safe, you only commit a crime if you use that data for criminal purposes, otherwise it is just evidence.
It would be good if you did some follow-ups of businesses where you had to raise concerns.
I'd get a buggy through there but due to the camber I'd have to load a bag on the opposite handle and give the kid my keys to carry. I do hope no damage would be caused 😉

Edinburgh has imposed a law on Pavement parking.

In Canada, you are never allowed to leave the roadway and put your tires on the curb, footpath, pavement, grass, etc.. At least you get a ticket, at worst they pinstripe every inch... Surprised it's allowed in UK urban areas.

I visit the site on a regular basis, the car park is far too small, forcing workers and visitors to park on the road. The roads get a constant flow of hgvs using them and if you didn't park on the pavement they wouldn't get through. The roads are just not wide enough.
The trucks can't stop before entering as there are double yellow lines on the road DJ. 😜
Go to Wren kitchens in Barton upon Humber the security are very militant and always up for an argument won’t allow you to fly a drone over also there is a bus stop nearby Gatehouse giving you access to the front.
Must do it before the 10t of December, as that’s shut down for the factory for Christmas.
It’s a very fascinating site have a lake massive yard with all kinds of materials and various types of HGV.
Treat their staff like absolute dirt sacked loads of drivers and porters to get out of paying Christmas bonuses and wages over the Christmas shutdown. Would probably be one of your best audits, as you will receive a large amount of resistance.

Hi DJ. Strangely outside London, it is legal to park on public pathways and block disabled and pram access. In my opinion, a very strange law that no MP of any party objects to. Car is king and pedestrians are irrelevant. Remember before you vote next? Any comments, please?.

...but the Police just ignore it most of the time, and even do it themselves.

Great video! 👍⭐⭐⭐Earlier this year, numerous auditors have visited the industrial estate.
The estate development began late 1990s and ABP opened in 2004. Grounds along Lincolnshire Way well maintained on street views but parking on pavement an issue in recent years. Double yellow lines were recently added in past year or two.
Possible the two cones were safety precaution so distracted employees don't walk into the overhanging material. Grommet tears on large signs common if no wind slits placed in sign, acts as a sail in slightest breeze.
The bonus clips say it all ... destain for anyone else. Well done ABP.
You should ask the Police if its legal to place big stickers on the windshields of vehicles parked in walkways stating your plate numbers have been given to the local Police for action !

Hi DJ. Love your vids. As an ex-trucker I came to Armthorpe to export railway rails to export to Italy for melting. I was devastated as a Kent coal miners Son to see how this coal mining town had been treated by the country, more so by the government of the time. I am patriotic but shamed by our S**T governing classes. Money first and people get stuffed they say XXX not +++
I once worked for a company and the boss did a big sh-t in the toilet. Luckily at the time I was having an illicit liason with a colleague and he took a picture of it. I still have it somewhere to this day.
I have a disability that makes me walk on sticks there delivery driver that parks on path to do his job but so annoying I have to wait for him or go onto the busy road

Pavement parking just seems to be normal practice these days even when there is no need or advantage to passing traffic, trouble is your average drivers are like sheep one does it they all do it and the amount of driving instructors I see do it on a daily basis what chance do new drivers stand.
