  • Today we take a look at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK, Derby DE1 9TA.
Parking was a problem so I decided to park onsite this time, a decision which stung me later.
Security didn't like me filming and ask me to leave but at this point I wasn't convinced that they had that power as the road is used by more than one business.
When the security boss arrived we spoke about the private property issue and eventually the police arrive.
The Police Constable and the PCSO where very professional but they did spot my vehicle.
At the end we take the drone over and see the Security Staff and Police still in conversation.
    Enjoy!

I guess I could make an insulating comment about you being one of those people who reads some shit on the internet and believes it regardless of the lack of evidence.
The laws regarding impersonating police officers do not take into account the perception of the viewer, the bit that counts is the actual actions (and in some cases the lack of action) of the individual accused of impersonating.
Besides your lack of knowledge of law regarding coloured lights on vehicles these laws don't apply on private property.

I used to be an LGV driver and i regularly went to places like this. Most of the time security asked to look in the back of my trailer as I was leaving site and I used to get pissed off so I'd just sit behind the wheel and tell them to help themselves. I don't take orders so it meant they had to make and effort and open the back doors and have a look which used to drive them mad. I was once told I'd be barred from entering their premises - next time I tried to deliver - if I didn't comply on exit. Basically it's fat blokes sitting around in the gatehouse eating pies. When they get up they shove their hands in their pockets and look like slobs.

Surely it wouldn’t be too much to expect that they are fully clued up regarding applicable legislation currently in force for the very small area that they appear to think they are entitled to “police”. so they have your "keepers details" already....but as it is "within" 15 yards or more of a road (not on a road)
    RTA section 34 (3)
It is not an offence under this section to drive a mechanically propelled vehicle on any land within fifteen yards of a road, being a road on which a motor vehicle may lawfully be driven, for the purpose only of parking the vehicle on that land (permission granted)
there is a case where person was on private pub car park , where the police tried to use it as admissible as "public place" as the opening hours were stated on the pub board 11.30 am to 11.30 pm,,
BUT the car was parked @ 10:00 am on the private land (not publicly accessible ) before opening hours so section 164 could not be used , they did not see person driving ,, they then tried ASB ,,,only to fail as no other persons in the location
