He should definitely be on a video for SIA training on how to communicate and engage people when you're unsure about what to do.

One of their contracts was to destroy unsold books and DVD's, this allowed them to reclaim any royalties that may have been paid out. The DVD's were scored on a spike, dipped to salvage the coating and then granulated for reuse. The books were ripped apart, shredded and then pulped. We processed many thousands of each every day.

1st Security guard was quite friendly and approachable, even if he didn't really understand the law. At least he admitted he didn't know and wasn't (like some), trying to stop DJ just because he 'thought' it wasn't legal. He stood and politely listened while DJ explained the law, so fair play to him.
2nd guy was ok too. He did his job, but again, was polite and friendly.
I know everyone wants to see conflict, and pick faults with security at any opportunity, but I couldn't fault either of them.

The lady in hi viz was polite too, even if she didn't really understand drone laws, so she politely listened and passed the information on. The bloke on the other end of the radio was the numpty calling the police when he didn't understand the law himself.

Legal pmr446 is 500 milliwatt limit in the uk or in other words 1/2 a watt not 1/4 watt but with fixed antenna like you say.

The walkie talkies on public bands I understand, we do it at my business for simply alerting each other we are needed at different areas. Works well and doesn't need a license that a private band would. Cheap and easy way to do it.

Fascinating site location and redevelopment of the area! DJ is the bomb!👍⭐⭐⭐
Most of the industrial estate was the Didcot Central Ordinance Depot during World War 2 and closed 1964. NLS OS maps has a 1948 aerial image of the site showing warehouses and storage bunkers and extensive railway network. After the depot closed, Dipcot power station constructed 64-68 and operated 1970-2013. Remaining chimney demoed February 2020. Location is "Depot" on the 1960 OS map. On google map, the railway loop that shown at the redeveloped site serviced the power plant and was part of the ordinance depot rail network as well.

Another fine video. What strikes me with regard to all the aggro you get, is that SIA training is woefully inadequate. You’d think this would include the law relating to the public rights of photographers and CAA airspace rights. Keep up the good work as long as you, I suspect there are rule makers trying to work out what they can do to stop you.
