      It has been years, and I still can't mentally place the Fairy type for some reason. Every time I see it, it's like "what the hell are you?!". My wife and I were playing US/UM some years back, and I was confused as hell trying to figure out what kills one that she happened to have there. Finally died without anything super effective to that horseshoe crab monstrosity that runs away a lot that I can't remember the name of...still got swept due to the delay, though.

      Might be out very soon if not.

    My idea with elemental weapons is to use the weapon to allow me to get advantage against my weak type. Example: water unit using a earth weapon to hit lightning units. Does this work? And do finishers share the same mechanic?

    • @CoffeePotato
      @CoffeePotato  Před rokem +3

      That works, but depends on the elemental bonus of the weapon. A personal bonus is 30 if hitting on a weakness, and matching bumps that to 40. The split element setup retains the 30, and uses the weapon's element independently. A finisher will use your personal element if neutral, but act as if you were the other element when swinging with that elemental finisher, or do 10% extra if matching.

    • @rucession5760
      @rucession5760 Před rokem +1

      There are several Elemental Interactions in this game, and these Elemental Interactions can be broadly categorized into three main categories:
      1) Attacker Affinity vs Defender Affinity (or Affinity vs Affinity) Interaction
      2) Action Element vs Defender Affinity Interaction
      3) User Affinity + Action Element Interaction
      The Attacker Affinity vs Defender Affinity Interaction applies a +30% bonus modifier to an attacking unit's Stat Overhead if their Affinity is Strong against their target's Affinity, and a -10% penalty modifier if their Affinity is Weak to their target's Affinity.
      The Action Element vs Defender Affinity Interaction applies the Elemental Damage Bonus value of an attacking unit's main-hand Weapon as a bonus modifier to their Stat Overhead if the Element of their Basic Attack/Special Attack/Spell is Strong against their target's Affinity.
      However, for Special Attacks/Spells, the Elemental Damage Bonus value of the attacking unit's main-hand Weapon will only be applied to the damage calculations of their Attack in the above scenario if the Weapon is 1-Handed and has an accompanying offhand Weapon/Shield equipped. The Elemental Damage Bonus Type (e.g. Air/Earth/Lightning) does not need to match the Special Attack/Spell's Element.
      The Action Element vs Defender Affinity Interaction applies a +100% bonus modifier to an attacking unit's Stat Overhead if their Finisher's Element is Strong against their target's Affinity.
      The User Affinity + Action Element Interaction applies a bonus multiplier of x1.1 to an attacking unit's Total ATK if their Affinity matches the Element of their Basic Attack/Finisher/Special Attack, and a bonus multiplier of x1.4 if their Affinity matches the Element of their Spell. On the flip side, the User Affinity + Action Element Interaction applies a penalty multiplier of x0.7 to an attacking unit's Total ATK if their Affinity is Weak to the Element of their Basic Attack/Finisher/Special Attack, and a penalty multiplier of x0.5 if their Affinity is Weak to the Element of their Spell.
      So in your example (Water Affinity Attacker vs Lightning Affinity Defender), if your attacking unit is performing a Basic Attack using an Earth Element Weapon, they will be affected by the bonuses/penalties applied by these two Elemental Interactions:
      1) Attacker Affinity vs Defender Affinity (Weak) - your attacking unit will receive a -10% penalty modifier to their Stat Overhead due to their Affinity being Weak to their target's Affinity.
      2) Action Element vs Defender Affinity (Strong) - your attacking unit will receive a bonus modifier to their Stat Overhead equal to the Elemental Damage Bonus value (e.g. 15 Earth = +15%) on their main-hand Weapon due to the Element of their Weapon (and by extension the Element of their Basic Attack) being Strong against their target's Affinity.

    Can you give a generic/different character a specialty class. Like making vyce/ a random warrior a knight commander without losing your previous one? Also can you give a unique character wings, like having ravess with her white Knight class be able to fly as a hawkman?

    • @CoffeePotato

    I dropped off the game for several months so since I’m only familiar with the Original Tactic’s Ogre (SNES/PlayStation) I’ve recently used my ogre blades body cut age for the first time but the blade disappeared. In the original game you could just recruit the old body or kill it off to get the blade to drop. Now my question is how do I acquire ANOTHER ogre blade since I’ve already killed Blackmoore and finished floor 115 of POTD?

    • @CoffeePotato
      @CoffeePotato  Před 5 měsíci

      You couldn't recruit or steal it back in the original, it was always a one time use thing, that's why it disappears now. Easiest way to farm more is to hop back to Coda 2, use your 3 shortcuts, and make the 75-100 run for a guaranteed extra OB, and some of the Ogre set
