    Man do I have a great dumbbell chest workout for you today, especially for you beginners. As a beginner, you need to make sure you are optimizing good form to get the best results. It is better to use good form and lighter weight to get results, than using heavy weight and bad form. Dumbbells also allow you to have better form and focus more on working only your chest or whatever muscle group you are working. Alright, let’s get started with the exercises in the best chest workout with dumbbells for beginners.
    Exercise #1: DUMBBELL INCLINE PRESS. It can be easy to neglect the upper chest, so the incline press will help you focus on that while warming up your shoulders as well. If you rotate the dumbbells in slightly to give a more natural movement and position, which is going to protect your shoulders. Focus on getting a deep stretch in your chest, and squeeze at the top of the movement. Use slow and controlled movements to get the most out of this exercise.
    Exercise #2: FLY TO SQUEEZE PRESS. Don’t lock your elbows, keep a slight bend. After you do the fly, squeeze the dumbbells together and do a press. Again, make sure to have slow controlled movements to get better results and protect your shoulders.
    Exercise #3: DEFICIT PUSH-UP. You can use dumbbells, and this is going to help you get a deeper stretch in your chest. On your way up, use your mind muscle connection to squeeze your arms together, which is going to really work your inner chest.
    Aim for 3 sets of 10-12 reps of each of these exercises. If you need to add more intensity to the workout, increase the reps and sets. You can increase the weight, but make sure it is a weight where you can still focus on good form.

    Great simple work out I am 56 and took a few months off this summer from dumbell training for cross country bike rides with my friends gonna start back up in a couple days! In the cold weather I train 4 times a week using fairly light weights with slow perfect form! Again thank you!

    The variation of dumbbells is extremely useful for a small person like me czcams.com/users/postUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 But the dumbbell size being large it's hard to do certain exercises like deadlift ( I have to have my hands and legs a bit wider to accommodate the size of the DB )Otherwise happy with the purchase. No excuse not to lift weight when it's snowing outside.

    Okay Gary, I really appreciate your instructions. Have a question; I’m 71 years old and haven’t worked out in over 35 years but started in February of this year. I work the upper body and arms on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lower body on Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday. Working about 2 hours each day. Am I hitting it too often? I’m not using heavy weights, 25lb tops.

    Great routine for beginners. I feel like a beginner again. After cover, th gym closed, I lost momentum. I did a lot of landscaping and tree work got in cured badly in November and then had a month of illness. The shoulder I think is ready for beginner workouts before I do more, got to be careful. 2020 was hell! 2021 started with a bang and I pray we are past political violence and Insurrections.

    Why do you knock the dumbbells together at the top of the exercise. Press or push the dumbbells up until your arms are fully extended; bring the dumbbells together at the top until they are about an inch apart. Slowly lower the dumbbells back down to an angle that is slightly past 90 degrees. Apart from that good video

    If u do those 3 exercises slow and strong your chest will be so pumped! If your feeling strong go to your next bodypart! if your shot out! go to the refrigerator! Then go back and do another bodypart! Having something in your house has been a game changer for me! but it wasn't easy! Covid made that happen! so much down time!!

    Brother Gary I can't do pushups from the floor yet. Is it ok if start with wall pushups then go to incline etc until I am strong enough to get to the floor?

      I’m not brother Gary but yes you can 100% do this. Try a counter top thats kinda at waist level and you can even just do it on your knees. As long as you give yourself range of motion

    If you loose it, and you have no floor below those shoulders, you will rip your rotator and muscles. Get off the beach and get on the floor.

    Terrible advise to suggest flies for beginners (even worse for older guys). They will surely give you shoulder problems down the line. I speak from my own experience. Plenty of other ways to target your chest.
