Hi Traxxas, it's O-V-E-R. $399 for a good servo, good esc, 2 speed, front and rear locking diffs, front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, drag brake, lights, light bar, removable cab and with 10 channels. All of those things are easily worth $300.
I still like the TRX4.. its just 300 bucks over priced all the time.
Ima agree i got a trx4 79 bronco i call frank you can view him on my channel but ive been running him since april 2018 hes due for early retirement at this rate.
Not even slightly over, Traxxas will still sell more TRX-4s. If FMS sales become a concern, Traxxas can lower their prices. The brand is too big and too smart to be outdone simply by a brand offering a lower price on a copycat product.
FMS has some really noisy ESCs. I got a TRX-4M and man that things quiet
I really hope this is a wake-up call for their crawler line. Repacking the same chassis for 6 years doesn't do them or the rc enthusiasts any good.
FMS has become my favorite R/C brand with their innovative designs and great value. I knew they're going to come up with something like this that would shock everyone just like what the TRX4 did five years ago.
No resting on their laurels for the weary. They keep innovating and I think they're just getting started.

I've had a TRX 4 defender since they were introduced. This is all I love about my TRX4 plus more. I'm getting one.
The remote lock/unlock diffs, selectable RWD/4WD/FWD is just bad ass.
It is just so freshhhhhh.
Awesome review rc brother, FMS continues to impress, all vehicles can use upgrades even the 700 dollar vehicles need upgrades. The fact that it already comes with so many nice options makes it a great purchase, can't wait to add it to my collection 🙏✝️☮️

For the price that's unbeatable.
Only thing missing is a winch. With all the driving modes, High/low speed, Portals, Contra rotating driveshafts (that's rare for an RTR) decent servo, lights and a nice polycarbonate body... I love the drag brake on the fly... OMG that's awesome!!!!
Yeah I'm sold. My heavily modified SCX-10 doesn't have all those features but damn it cost a pretty penny to setup.

Great review. This seems like a great truck to have. Mines gonna be here saturday. The Crawlers I have now will be eyeing what I got. It's different and I think it's good to have options.
That is a gorgeous truck and an impressive list of options. I'm not big into crawling and don't have a ton of room in the collection but I'll likely buy this just to look at. I picked up a TRX6 G63 last year on impulse that I've been looking for a reason to get rid of. I think you just gave me one.
You won't be disappointed. This is a little more fun with a bigger sweet spot, at half the price.

Great truck, really nice looking. If it had straight axles, I might have grabbed one. Never did see a blazer with portal axles.

I've been waiting for this since it got leaked by Harley designs and I will say FMS did not disappoint, and that price is great, now if my real truck would stop breaking so I could afford one that would be great.
The price capped off a wonderful effort from them.
If they get a 79 Ford I’ll be getting one, the features on this thing are cool. I got to many RC’s to buy every cool one that comes out ( I can’t believe I just said that lol)

I bought a trx4 high trail a while back I wish I would have bought one of these very nice truck
Those that twin stick their 4x4 can do front wheel drive in some vehicles, my Jeep YJ has a Dana 300 that is twin sticked and it can drive on fronts only if need be such as snapping a rear axle or digging etc.
Been looking for a new 10th scale rig and this might be it.

It is real the best dig is neutral and lock. I flipped the shaft in my Capra so it’s in neutral

They did something great with the launch of the TRX4 but that was 6 years ago. Us hobbyists deserve better innovation. And prices.

was hoping to hear about what size servo could fit in it. how about motor and gearing? links? all the standard stuff we'd look at to upgrade. a deep dive into that because the weaknesses are fairly dry; need equal pros and cons.
frankly, over engineered for crawlers. too expensive for kids. too many gimmicks and its going to hard to work on when one servo goes bad.

Honestly fms and redcat has stepped up. The gen 9 Imo is the closest to this fms. Both 400 with 2speed trans. Gen 9 also comes with the 42kg servo
Wow FMS! After your video I bought the Unimog With oil dampers, modified in the look and made a nice video into Dolomites. I have to say that FMS surprises you with quality both in materials, and project The Unimog is ready to receive more things than expected, (LED housings). This one has my favorite body and I never bought the Traxxas one because the price here in Italy too high. I'm thinking over! Ciao and happy 100.000

The color of the headlight is period correct. i wouldnt change them. There is something about the door windows that just isnt right.
It's not the color, it's the brightness. Lights that you can't see with and with no beam are not scale either. :)
It just goes to show how much price anchoring has been going on in the RC market.

No a specialist, but I thought the blazer is the short one with the hard top and the K10 is the pickup 10 inch longer…

It's a weird choice to make it a 324mm wheel base with a 250mm width. That rules out a ton of existing aftermarket bodies sadly.
What's wrong with the width? Too wide or too narrow?
@@RCReviewChannel there's nothing wrong with it technically, but most 1:10 bodies are meant for 200mm wide bodies and 313mm wheel bases. That rules out using a ton of aftermarket bodies on this platform right out of the gate unless you want the wheels to stock out 25mm on each side. The extra 10mm in length isn't a huge deal though.
Traxxas is finished with people like fms coming out with this this is the time to give them a token of their cease and desist love

I love my trx4 but man this is looking like the next pick up… traxxas has been lazy lately with their crawlers… they need a big revision to the Trx line. Be it even more realism or completely new features
