    2023 Lightning Lariat owner, 10K miles. I agree with them; one thing I'll say is that based on what several videos would imply is that you can write the Lightning off as far as towing. However, I have a 5000lb "couples" 26ft camper, and in western Virginia I have a large number of state parks and other camp grounds within the towing range (which works out to about 130 miles max). You don't have to worry about charging stations in this case, since the camp spots I rent have 14-50 outlets and I can fully charge on the portable charger overnight. Downside is that I can't run the A/C on the camper while charging the truck. I run A/C during the day, later at night when it is cooler I shut it off and start the truck charging.

      Could you not run the RV power through the pro power onboard of your truck while charging it? That way you can run your ac in the rv and charge the truck at the same time?

      Why don’t you just buy a 3K generator at Harbor freight for $700? It would run your AC just fine, at least a small one anyways.

    2023 Lightning Pro owner. I've owned cars with maxed bling, and after a couple of weeks it's just a bangle, never actually used. I don't even use all of the extras that come with the Pro!
    Fantastic vehicle, and you do not need a $10,000 upgrade to power your home manually. I have a NEMA 14-50 in my garage for level 2 charging, and if you splice a pigtail for two of the Lightnings Pro power outlets into one NEMA-50 plug, you have 40 amps at 240 volts right back into your house AFTER flipping the 200 amp breaker to isolate the system...not automatic, but it works.
    What you will realize when you own an EV, is that range, not speed is the goal....you will slow down, and you'll be safer to boot!!

      That's a cool pro trick there. One of the reasons I'm looking at the Ford Lightning over the Rivian and Tesla trucks is that I want emergency power for my home. Thanks for sharing.

      @@imtheonevanhalen1557 I installed a level 2 charger we got in a deal last year for a PHEV that we didn't use before. I also use the Ford level 1 charger that came with the vehicle. I use the level one every night as a.trickle charger to delay having to use the level 2. I use the level 2 maybe once a week. I read level 1 is the best to prolong the battery range and life.

      @@imtheonevanhalen1557 I agree. The only time I "punch it" is when I need to getting into traffic. I had a sunroof and cooled seats in my previous truck. Never used them. As long as I have Bluetooth so I don't have to pick up my phone to take calls, I'm happy.

    crazy, i'm seeing a few of these Lariet Lightnings popping up for sale now with about 25,000 miles for $45K. Huge hit for the first owner. Hopefully it doesn't detour people from buying them, as i like being a 2nd hand buyer.

    It's all about charging....I have never had a trip where I wasn't ready to stop before the car was. I drove from Fairfield, CT to Lincoln, NH and was in the car for 4 hours and 8 minutes before my charging stop...I was ready to stop after 2 and a half hours. I have a model 3 LR so charging is never an issue. I can't wait for the all the other MFGr's to start using NACS.

    I love my Lightning. I’ve owned 2 previous f150s, the 5.0 and hybrid 3.5. The Lightning is my favorite and has been perfect for our suburban daily use.

      Daily use ok, how about a road trip? I regularly go to Colorado about 1300 miles from where I live. 2 day trip. What is the range on your lighting EV , and how long does it take to charge.? What would a 13 or 14 hundred mile trip take for you time wise?

      @@AmericanSCPO if you’ve looked into this at all by now you know your answers it’s not a perfect truck I think for your use it’s probably not the truck for you. There would be a lot of downtime, charging and dealing with range anxiety but I think they’ve come a long way dodge ram is coming out with a 500 mile range truck soon. I’m sure Ford will match that in the coming years if not exceeded.

      @@AmericanSCPO These are "TOWN" trucks. drive around town.. not long drive "real use" trucks and people are actually spending 80K and up to do this.. so hard to believe, but it is.

      $55K for my XLT SR and it works just fine- most of my driving is local- but certainly a "REAL Use" truck. Not everyone goes on long trips. For that I use my Ioniq 5 which charges really fast with the 800V architecture. @@goneridingparts

      @@AmericanSCPO We have taken long road trips in ours. Here's how it works: Leave with a full charge. Charge again while eating lunch. Charge again while eating dinner. Charge overnight (for free) at the hotel. Repeat. Extra time = 0. The thing you have to remember is "ABC- Always Be Charging". Anytime you stop, charge, whether you are down on charge or not. Also, keep speeds reasonable. Driving slower increases range, which means fewer charging stops, which gets you there faster. With these simple changes to our habits we have been able to drive anywhere without any range anxiety.

    Great video, Dave. Thanks for letting these guys carry the heavy load on their experience with their EVs (i.e., do nearly all the talking). Very informative users’ opinions.
    Two take aways: 1) Yes, we need to move away from “range” anxiety. Once you have an EV, you realize that’s putting a lot of worry on something that’s a minor concern. It’s more “charger anxiety” these days. This will improve with time, as more and more charging stations get built and with the move to NACS. 2) Along the same line, I am far more focused, like these guys, on efficiency (how many Wh/mile is my Tesla M3 SR+ using) and what is the SOC percentage remaining. Those numbers are far more useful than a simple (and simplistic) “range” number in understanding how my vehicle is operating and knowing when I need to recharge. (Thanks to Kyle, I try to get into the single digit percentage SOC when I’m on the road!)
    Last summer, I drove my Tesla from Sacramento CA to Louisville KY. It was such a fun and easy trip, even with my M3 trim, which is the cheapest, slowest charging, shortest range Tesla they make! Had zero worries, and zero issues (in all the charging stops I made there and back, I had ONE 5 minute wait - I’ve waited longer on hold and in line at the grocery store - and at the Costco gas line back in the bad old days of my ICE vehicle😂!)

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I have the Lightning SR XLT and it has been perfect for me so far. Not many long trips- for that I use my Ioniq 5. That one charges really fast- when I can find an EA station that is running properly. Most of the time I can at least get 50kW so that is not terrible- but when it charges at 225kW I usually don't get out of the car as it all happens really fast from 30 to 90%.

    Guys - you hit all the points I share with others as to why I also love my Lightning. Yes, I've towed 8,000 pounds - but only about 50 miles each way. I've carried sand, top soil, building supplies in the bed (not at the same time) and I didn't even notice it when I accelerated from a red light. The frunk has proven to have so many uses - and the low lip makes it much easier to load/unload heavy objects like suitcases. Dave - I think you should find a couple of F150 Lightnings wives to interview - if they're anything like mine they were highly skeptical at first, but have come around to absolutely love it! It's now my wife's vehicle of choice if she has to run errands over her beloved Mini Countryman.

    I have owned my 2022 Lightning Lariat ER for about 2-1/2 months and 3000 miles, and I agree with the positive comments these two make about the truck. I traded a 2018 XLT with a 2.7L eco boost for mine. The only thing I lost in going from an ICE to an EV was the need to stop at a gas station. One thing that was not mentioned but that I really appreciate is the camera system. With the cameras I can get into some pretty tight parking places without much effort.

    Great Video. Lightning owner here for 14 months, 22k miles, people just don’t know what they are missing out on. We need more videos like this Dave, helping normal truck people understand that its not hard to switch and its better in every way. I 100% agree with the guys that all the knocks on the lightning that people say are the 1% or less use cases that shouldn’t turn someone away from the Lightning.

    I believe most people that are disappointed with their lightnings are because they didn't properly research it prior to purchasing it. Many wouldn't have purchased it had the realized the charging infrastructure just isn't ready yet.

      @@pstoneking3418 Unless you have a level 2 charger at home, it doesn't make much sense. Charging stations costs nearly the same as paying for gas.

    I have a 2022 Lightning Extended Range Lariat. I have been driving trucks for close to 50 years. Chevy C-10's GMC's, F-150's and F-350's along with E150's and E350's. Gas and Diesel. My previous truck was a 2020 F-150 ecoboost. The Lightning is by far the best truck I have ever owned. We drive it everywhere. I could go on, but the best I can say is: Drive one and you'll never go back.

    A very nice interview.
    I am a 2020 MYP owner.
    1. People generally think they drive much further than they really do. If their assessments are realistic the 2 vacations a year that require long distance travel (if they are lucky) could rent the ride of their dreams and still save.
    2. Never heard you mention the ease of 1 footed driving. It is super convenient and 1 of the 1st things I thought wasnt needed til I experienced it.
    3. Tesla is not as perfect as you imply.
    I paid for FSD 3 years ago, I am in Beta and it is ok at best. Always defaults to the left lane even though most State laws dont allow it.
    You mention Ford listens and there are ways to communicate? Are you sure they are listening? Is there a confirmation or acknowledgement from them?
    Tesla has no such option that shows they listened or cared AND THERE ARE NO PHONE NUMBERS to speak to a human, even in an emergency.
    The lack of maintenance is a big plus too.
    I came from an M3 SMG and still enjoy my Tesla for its performance.

    How can they claim savings when the price is 80,000 dollars , that's unaffordable for most people and the monthly payment ($1400 to 2200 a month) and interest erases any gas savings.
    They are ok if you buy a new car every 3 to 5 years, time will tell the real story, but they are not transportation for the general public .

      You can buy a Lighting XLT for $65k with a $7500 tax credit to make it $57,500 (or less, depending on what state you live in). Granted, it’s still a lot of money, but that’s a middle-tier price for full size trucks…

      Not saying the price isn’t expensive, however, I came from a limited which is more expensive. So when I upgraded I bought less expensive truck than my previous and save 50% on energy and $0 on maintenance.
      Agreed it doesn’t make sense for all but if you are looking in that range of vehicle then it does pencil out on paper.

    I can't find anything wrong with my lightning. I have a platinum so I get a little less range, but hasn't been an issue with me. On average I charge to 85% and haven't ever gone below 15%. On average 60 miles per day.
    My only complaint would first be public chargers cost too much secondly there's not enough available. But no issues with the truck itself.

    Just leased a F150 Lightning XLTfor $589 a month, no money down for 36 months. Based on our local electricity rates, it costs me 60 cents to go the equivalent of distance on my old truck that I was paying $3.50 per gallon. I'll save over $3000 per year in fueling costs. I detail cars and boats and rarely drive more than 30 miles from home to a job. So the 240 mile range does me just fine. Had a charging station installed in my garage that charges from 30% to 90% in about 6 hours. I'll only have to charge about every 5 days. Also, having power on board means I was able to ditch the noisy generator that I used to power up my equipment. I can't see going back to a ICE vehicle.

      @@GokuIRL Sure as hell is better than buying a new EV because a new EV depreciates at higher rates than non EV vehicles. Picking one up 2 years used you get a hell of a deal off sticker with relatively low miles. Plus all EVs have battery warranty until 120k miles in the state of CA at least.

    I have two "mega" dealerships in my city. Both have several Lightnings, the XLTs are $72k.
    I just traded my Rivian for an XLT and pocketed $6K.
    18 months ago my Rivian sold for $107K on a car auction website. The 2022 XLT I traded it for was listed for $53k on a national car sales website.
    I love the XLT because I do not like the large screen of the higher trim levels. My XLT was custom ordered with tow max, brake controller, and the 9.6 kW pro power.
    The XLT is my 10th EV.
    After driving 2 software-first cars, I simply can't stand the screen-only interface.
    These have to be cars first. By far the worst thing about software first is aiming the vents. You should not have to stop the car and pull off the road to adjust the aim of the vent.

      @@JasonCarmichael Someone put it aptly. Tesla and Rivian are tech companies trying to build cars. I'd rather buy a car from a car company that offers an EV version, but that's just me.

      NACS built into truck is nice, but not necessary. A simple adapter solves that, but you need the Ford app to allow charging at a Tesla DC fast charger. Maybe we will see that software before next spring.

    Outstanding fun interview. F150 sales are impeded by only higher priced models at dealers, dealer markups, and high interest rates. Leases on all EVs are very expensive now.

    I have a lightning and recently purchased a model 3. The lightning is perfect except for road trips, I almost got stuck a couple of times and thankfully played it smart and extra charged (painfully) just to play it safe. Hopefully when the magic dock is available for purchase I won't have any issues driving the lightning wherever I want.

    Obnoxious beeping when you use the front trunk needs to be improved. Software needs a complete redesign, it's slow and locks you from touching it while driving. The dcfc speeds need to be improved. The platinum needs a price drop since they ripped out all the actual platinum features. The shifter is dumb, and should be on the column or needs to be a moved and not do the gimmick folding crap. The fordpass app is garbage. Bluecruise eye tracking needs to die .

      Agree with everything other than 2 points. The folding work surface has come in handy for me a bunch. Though I would like to see 200+ kw charging the curve doesn’t get enough respect. That type of curve should standard. Max power for 10min regardless of SOC and then flat curve to 80%.

      The work surface is ok, honestly I wish they didnt add the dumb shifter we have and instead used the one for mache. I have thought about buying one to see if i could get it to fit. I agree charge curve needs to be fixed. @@Mkg254

    Great observation about reading your energy gauge instead of relying on what the vehicle says your range is.
    I own a CX90 PHEV. I have learned that especially in colder weather the range estimate is very pessimistic. The gauge is always more accurate and it is closer to real world (I mean… it is the same thing you do with your ICE vehicle)

    Great video. Thanks. I wish every EV had the same electrical outlets as the F150. I have no need for a truck, but I would love to power a blender or instant pot from a normal outlet on a road trip or camping.

      plenty of ways to power a insta pot during camping without a over priced EV truck that has very limited charging stations and zero range if using it as a truck for towing. look at a bluetti

      @@goneridingparts I have a couple such batteries/power stations. But, since I do drive an EV with a 90 kwh battery, it's rather irritating to have to also carry a heavy but puny 2.5 kwh power station too.

    I had a preorder for a lightening however the dealers marked them up 20k. I bought a Rivian for MSRP and I’m happy I did.

    I've had my 22 Lightning Lariat X battery 14 months and 100% agree with the guys. 21k miles and best truck I've ever owned for my use case. I do some light towing to the beach ( 124 miles on way). Been a non-issue. Great truck.

    One of the reasons why the Ford Lightning isn’t selling is people are waiting for the truck to be equipped with Tesla charging plug. For me, that’s what I’m waiting for.

    This was an awesome video. The Lightning will likely be my next vehicle. This is the first time I have heard the term "charger anxiety" and I'm 100% going to use that from now on. I bought my first EV at the start of this year, a Harley LiveWire and although it has limited range of about 120 miles it's not the range it's the chargers that cause me anxiety. Where I live/ride there are very few DC chargers and almost exclusively they are 50kW and only one charger per station. The 50kW thing doesn't effect me while I'm charging (the Harley only does 22kW) but having to wait for someone in a Hyundai or any other vehicle to charge at that rate is painful. I will likely go for a Lightning Pro with the pro power onboard so I can charge my Harley off the truck in about 2 hours from home :)

    The reason these are just sitting on lots, is that the dealerships all ordered short range trucks, and nobody wants that. When I look around everything is short range, the extended range trucks are not available sitting on lots.

    What Ford should have done when they were first developing the Lightning is take 10 of them and give them to farmers, ranchers, and contractors in different areas of the country for 1 year and take the feedback and design the vehicle in the real world way.

    If I would have had any idea that the price of a Ford Lightning would go down this low I really believe I would have waited and got it instead of my CX90 PHEV.
    At the beginning of the summer of 2022 I was reading reviews of the Lightning and thinking I wanted one. However, the prices were so ridiculous.
    I really like having a third row. However, the utility of a truck along with the additional utility of the Lightning at these current prices really makes it appealing.

    I have a 2018 f150. I bought it 2 and a half years ago. It has the 5.0 in it. I love it. I do a lot of driving. Sometimes more than 300 miles at a time. And i dont have time to let it charge for hours . I would get a hybrid. And theres not to many places to charge it up where i live.

    People have a hard time with the price and interest rates. The base price is 60k in my area and to get set how I would need it is almost 70k. I can get a 3/4 truck with diesel for about same price. Then you have the winter battery loss.

    Pet mode and 1-button ProPower mode would be game changers. Also, the app sucks. WTF can't I set cabin temp via the app? Why can I only do two remote starts before the truck needs to be driven? Why can't I crack the windows via the app? Why does opening the frunk shut down the truck when it's in remote start mode?

    Counterpoint to their trim choices: with Lariat, you get animal skin interior, whether you want it or not. In hot climate, I’ve never had a leather interior that lasted as long as cloth. Also, you get cooled seats, whether you want them or not (imagine sitting on a wet park bench, and having the cold-wet soak through to your skin… that wonderful feeling is the experience of cooled seats, imho). The cloth interior of the XLT feels much softer, and yet supportive- more comfortable overall than the seats in the Lariat. The 12” landscape-oriented Sync screen seems more useable than the larger, portrait-oriented screen of the Lariat. XLT 312A with Max Tow add is the sweet spot: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering (not just ping-ponging Lane Keeping), Speed Sign Recognition. And all for $thousands less than a Lariat. Buy a 2024 XLT, and it will likely even have Bluecruise.

      Your point on the 12” is spot on. I actually talked about that but it didn’t make the video. The 15” portrait is actually only 12” of usable. Dumbest thing on the truck and that ford does. It was an early Tesla thing that even they walked away from.

      I disagree in the coastal region of Texas cloth lasts a few years. Leather is much more durable and comfortable, not affordable.

    As a fairly new lightning owner, and a first time ev owner, I love my lightning. I agree with most of what the guys said except the trim level discussion, I went with an XLT, because that’s what was on the lot here, and it really gets you a ton of bang for your buck. Please don’t pass up the XLT trims! I thought I would never have a car again without leather seats, but with our cold MN winters I don’t think I’ll mind the cloth seats! Pro power added and max towing package and the price came in under $60,000. This truck is NOT out of reach for many people!! I’m having so much fun with it so far!

    One guy said he liked tge platinum black.Can you image how hot the interior will get. The mate black looks like a flat black primer. Not for me. I have a platinum but would've been completely satisfied with the ER lariat, which would have increased my range from 300 to 320 miles.

    23:25 to be fair 200-400 miles of range is normal in the mobility industry for really anything dino juice, hydrogen or BEV the issue is refuel time which is something barring a major breakthough BEVs can ever overcome.

    ive been looking at one of these really hard but here in Canada there really expensive. the dealers have them just sitting there same thing, and i priced an XLT with the larger battery and the max tow package and tow tech pack nothing else its 80k... and thats if you can find a ford dealer thats not trying to rip you off still with mark ups

    I wouldn't recommend the Sunrun home integration system, way to expensive and hasn't had any good reviews. I use an interlocked generator receptical located at my main service panel to power my home in an emergency. 7200 watts available instead of the 9600 watts available when using Sunrun integration. 7200 watts is mire than enough to power my critical loads.

    Charger anxiety = 1970' road trips where gas stations were 70-100 miles away from one another. A lot of younger drivers have no understanding that there weren't 3-4 gas stations on every exit.

    How long does it take to charge each time you have to stop
    Thats what really bugs me
    I can get gas and be on my way in a matter of minutes

      It depends on how you do it. I like to stop every couple hours somewhere between 100 - 130 miles. Did that in my gas cars as well. If you do that each stop will be between 10-25 min. The shorter stops are just enough time to use the restroom and stretch your legs. The longer stops I use to eat a meal which is just enough time for fast causal option like subway or chipotle. If you want to drive as long as possible on a charge a long charging stop will be about 45min.

    Great video. Thank you. Any thoughts on susceptibility to flat tires with the larger wheel size on the platinum vs the Larat? With my Tesla, my larger wheels look nice but I get my fair share of flat tires in NY and CT.

      It was a big reason I went with 20” I had 22” on my 2017 limited. No issues with flats but I prefer having a little more side wall.

    Based on your video I checked out the Lightning. Nice truck but I could NOT find one STEALERSHIP that wasn’t gouging WAY OVER MSRP plus other fees. Don’t tell Elon I even looked but back to Tesla we go! When you see Jim Farley remind him this is ruining the Brand.

    I have been around EVs since the Leaf came out. I don't agree with these guys because I have also been a truck guy since I was a kid and I was a schooled mechanic for many years until I went back to school and became an electrical guy and controls guy and trouble shooter.
    The best way to deal with EVs is miles per KW and state of charge in percentages.
    If you want to keep your battery happy and give it a long life, learn how to use it.
    The more time you can keep it between 35 and 75 percent state of charge the healthier your battery is going to be.
    The fewer times you cook it to death on fast chargers the better off you will be.
    KW used is also good information to have while driving.
    If you have a 90 KW battery and you have used 70 Kw you know how much farther you can drive if you are averaging 2 miles per KW on the highway.
    You could always use percentage or state of charge and just know that you should be stopping and topping off somewhere between 10 and 35 % . Juice up quick to near 70 to 85% and get rolling again.😉

    22:20 I have found that most salespeople know very few specifics about the vehicles they are selling, weather it be an ICE car, hybrid, or EV. They generally (not always of course) are sorely undertrained, and held to a low standard of competence.

    mike's comment about the ICE/EV tipping point being charging 50-100 miles back in 10 mins reliably gets to the heart of the problem of mass adoption. i would argue 120 miles in 10 mins, but that is not the point. the point is massive charger network development is needed (and grid improvement / decentralization along with it), plus education of the consumer to overcome years of reflexive ICE habits, before this occurs, this is still several years away, with many many billions of dollars needed. but once you drive an EV, it is very difficult to go back, from a driving experience perspective, that is for sure.

      @@Mkg254 two words. special interests. they don't want increased access / decentralization. they want to shift control from big oil to big utility. they think its now their turn at the trough. it's not enough to sell electrons, they want to be the complete gatekeepers. so they put up barriers and raise costs to the point that the capital investment hurdles are too high for any but the largest players, and lobby the gov't for subsidies and tax breaks that only their sophisticated legal teams can navigate.

      No one is stopping them. Any Cumberland farms (or insert gas station here) owner can buy and install a ChargePoint cpe250 and take advantage of tons of rebates. I think they look at it as selling against themselves vs supplying the entire market and being early to market over competitors

      But so many forget that in 1910 gas stations were as rare as hen's teeth. Even as late as the late teens you couldn't drive across a large state much less the country with any certainty of always finding a gas station. And if you did find one there was no guarantee it would have any gas to sell. Consider as well that many ICE vehicle owners had to buy their fuel at Drug Stores. Didn't seem to slow their adoption.

      Being able to quickly add 100 miles of range to your vehicle while making a stop for a cup of coffee or a bathroom break would be a big game changer. I have an F150 Lightning now for eleven months and I understood the issue when I bought it that I was an early adopter, I still think I made the right choice as the truck is the right vehicle for me just like any other vehicle you need to assess your needs and compare them to the capabilities of the vehicle you’re buying it’s people who don’t do this that think they’ve made the wrong choice. People question me on my truck all the time and just like out all of you know the first thing out of the mouth is how far can I go? It seems to be the main argument point for anti-evil people as you’ve said I think overall it’s a better vehicle than the regular Ford F150 with two big exceptions one is if you road trip Often or if you tow long distances on any kind of regular basis, other than that, I find being able to charge my vehicle at home to the desired level and just get in it in the morning and not have the fuel gauge be the first thing I look at is a large convenience to say the least add to that the fact that just about anywhere you live it’s cheaper to drive this 3 1/2 ton pick up truck than a compact car makes a very attractive argument even if you only need all the room this provides on an occasional basis.

    Got do stay with the F150, I love the keypad entry, you can lock your keys and phone in it when you swim or whatever....The Lightning is the only EV Truck with the keypad on the driver's door... Great video...

    The only things people must realize is an EV is not for everyone. First, the cost is prohibitive. Second, those who don't have infrastructure at their residence (apartment dwellers) won't be able to charge at home. Charging stations (Electify America, Tesla, etc.) are not much cheaper than paying for gas to go the same distance, DC fast charging stations would have to drop their rates significantly for the masses to switch over. Greed will keep this technology from reaching critical mass.

    Really great video Dave. I wrote off the Lightning due to price and will probably get into a Model Y some time soon....but the appeal of the bed to do "truck things" is strong, just wish the prices were a little more reasonable. I had a Canyon up until November of last year and really miss tossing things into the bed. Also hate to bother others borrowing trucks....but with two car seats the pickup wasn't practical anymore for me...with the frunk on a Lightning the car seats taking up the back aren't as much of an issue.

      @@Iwish4zombies sticker price was $58k. It’s an XLT with max tow package. XLT base price is only $56k. And I’m leasing it, which doesn’t do anything to the price off the lot- but Ford is keeping the tax credit for themselves, so all those prices are without any tax credit benefits.

    As a former EV owner, I’d like a Lightning for local stuff, but I tow boats too far and travel empty too far to make one feasible. My 2019 with the 2.7TT and 36 gallon tank takes me from my house in SW Michigan to my brothers house in southern North Carolina on a single tank, so my only stops are a few five minute bathroom breaks. I save well over an hour vs needing to charge a few times, and zero range anxiety. Most of my used boat purchases have been over 200 miles round trip, and it’s never enjoyable finding a suitable charger when towing a long trailer.

    And the issue with using chargers is that if you do the math you will see that the cost to run electric vs a gas truck is not going to be saving you any money
    The only time an electric truck is going to be a benefit is if you can charge cheaply at home and gas prices are generally high in the same area.
    When you have gas at $3.50 or so a gallon like in some parts of the US and electricity is pushing 20 to 30 cents a kilowatt and you have a ford power boost that gets 22 miles to the gallon, then you are breaking even basically
