kelly is a very generous singer and she lets her duo partner shine while holding her own
The other way around, ariana was holding back her 5 octave range, developed head voice/falsetto/whistles/high belts, supported unstrained technique because she was in duo partner's own show...

â @@grandetristesse3370itâs not the other way around, Kelly can do whistle notes too and has a much STRONGER range even if it isnât as high, theyâre both great singers but this is Kellyâs song so sheâs the one being generous. Ariana clearly wasnât holding back when she was damn near on her knees on one of the notes. Theyâre both great but Kelly has power Ariana canât have because of her high tone and Ariana has a falsetto range Kelly canât have because of her thick strong tone, at the end they balance each other off and they both supported each other.
i loved all of kelly and arianas interactions, they are just two lovely and extremely talented human beings and the performances they can dish out together are phenomenal

If I didnât know any better, I would think they practiced this a ton. Itâs pretty incredible that this was the first time they ever sang this together, aside from recording it, if they even did it together then. They could have recorded it separately, I donât know. They do sound really good together. Iâm more of a Kelly Clarkson fan (for transparency sheâs my favorite vocalist), nothing against Ariana, sheâs an incredible singer too. I just prefer the kind of music Kelly does. Thatâs all that comes down to. I was excited when I found they did a song together. Itâs a good song IMO too. Great reaction. I always wonder what vocal coaches think about singers like Kelly & Ariana.

The best harmonizer in the world at this moment is for sure Kelly! She always wanted to be a backup singer and she knows how to do it and her duets is a proof of this.

My voice teacher called people like these two 'Syrens.' they lead you into a place oof confidence; where they so effortlessly sing that it makes you believe you can do the same thing. then when you try to do what they're doing you realize...they've devoured you. in other words, some vocalists make is look so easy that they make you believe you can do it too.
Youâre going a very long time watching the video without pausing, I hope you and you donât get a copyright strike. But Iâm enjoying this so far.

FYI... They both happen to be 5'3". Granda tends to get her voice from her head where as Kelly taps into the chest and head for her voice. Thus increases Kellys range and control.

Love both of these ladies' voices. Have you ever done an analyses and reaction video on Barbra Streisand? There's two great duets Barbra does [actually there are many], one with Celine Dion (Tell Him) and another with Donna Summer (Enough of Enough), and the latter one Barbra performed live, 40 years later, with Ariana Grande. Would be great to hear your take on Barbra...imo the GOAT.
Love these two together! I could listen to a whole cd of them. They were awesome together on jimmy fallonâs new show. You can see they are great friends and admire each other.

They are too good they are so good in duo.
Ariana is 29 at this time and just like everyone else her instrument has slightly aged which is where I think that bit of grit is coming from. I prefer Arianaâs delivery, giving soft and angelic, but also strong powerful belts. Such an amazing performance !

I'm a big Kelly clarkson fan and prefer her music, Ariana isn't really my style but god dam she has the voice of an angel, a voice like no other.
They do sound great together right?
Some coaches have spoken about how your facial features play a part too. So if youâve got bigger or broader features[Which I think Kelly has compared to Ariana ], or a bigger broader neck or something, it could contribute to you having a voice that has more depth or power.

A lot of people believe Arianaâs little vocal breaks or rasp are intentional. As in sheâs putting a little pressure for some dynamics to her vocal
Her rasp is definitely on purpose she adds it in most of her mid belt this year back in 2018 she use it in the F#5 at the end of god is a woman but she never use it in her upper belts

Itâs intentional. She was doing it for months before starting the voice she can turn it on and off.

hey there! i love singing pop and im getting used to my mix but im just confused sometimes. for higher notes like E or F5 + when we mix, do we need to include nasality or do we use the pinch nose test where we know that the voice feels like its coming from the back of the mouth and definitely not through the nose?

Ariana isn't even 5'2, Gaga is 5'2 and Ariana is shorter. But she is taller than Kristin Chenoweth, who is 4'11.

Really only that much difference? Are you sure? Treading lightly around the topic of Kelly being a slightly bigger build than Ariana. Not weight wise but general size, Ari is teeny tiny and Kelly is just bigger in her skeleton. That can play a huge role.
