Those fills are insanely clean. Eloy is just a whole different beast. Corey sounds great as well, but a great drummer carries the whole band with him and Eloy is doing exactly that.

I know that there are many who love Jay and loved Joey, but there is a very huge difference between how Slipknot sounded a year ago compared to now. They sound so good now, they sound so clean, they sound so much more like what Slipknot should sound like. I get that a lot of people do love that super fast overly technical style of playing that Jay did, but Slipknot isn't a super fast technical band, they never were. Slipknot should sound like a heavy metal/nu metal band that you can dance to, that does have a rhythm, that does have clarity in the music, that does give the other members room to show off and have fun and be comfortable. I know I'll get hate for this comment, there's always Jay defenders, just as there was always Joey defenders, but Slipknot right now sound the best that they're sounded in a few years. I don't want to say that Jay was always not great for Slipknot, sure there was a time when his crazy style of playing was fun and was necessary, but we all know that Slipknot has changed a lot and bringing the band back to what it used to be feels right and Eloy is doing that. Maybe his style of playing will change eventually and I'll take back my words if so, but Eloy is a much better fit right now for sure.

Por incrível que pareça, na época que conheci a banda, eu já imaginava que isso um dia poderia acontecer, temos músicos excepcionais aqui no Brasil, mesmo eles não tendo apoio nenhum da maioria doa Brasileiros mesmo, infelizmente.
O que eu tô mais curtindo nessa entrada do Eloy, é que eles deixaram os andamentos das músicas mais próximos as gravações originais, eles costumavam tocar com bpms bem mais rápidos que os das gravações, algumas vezes chegava a ser estranho.
Acho que o isso foi ideia do corey e do clown, já que eles estão tentando chegar o máximo possível no que era era em 1999, tanto no figurino quanto no jeito de tocar as músicas em palco. O eley tem um estilo bem mais pancada, pesado que o jay, aí isso ajuda né 😅.
Não se preocupem, a bateria passa bem e disse que não vai realizar queixa na delegacia. O baterista, vulgo cavalo ignorante, Eloy, não se pronunciou sobre as agressões.
It's completely satisfying to see Eloy playing, and how he respects the bpm of each Slipknot song. You can notice how the band accompanies the smooth rhythm that Eloy delivers, and let's face it, speed doesn't mean something is of quality, Jay for example is a very good drummer, but he really couldn't play the songs properly rhythms. It's notable how the change of drummer gave a clear improvement to the shows. I'm excited to see what comes out next with Eloy officially being Slipknot's new drummer
Jay was an ok drummer, even if he improvised in old songs a lot and never got precise on them like Joey did with his beautiful style. Eloy seems to be the next perfect choice for the band’s live performances. We miss you Joey❤
I used to hate this track live, even with Joey playing it back in 2009/10 when I saw them live. I don't know how Eloy is this damn good and true to the album version. Edit: If I was a band member, I would be soo pumped to have him back there right now.
Eloy is the best drummer I've ever seen play in Slipknot, the guy is a monster, and the band is on the same page that feels like they're at the beginning of their career, they have great energy.
I'm going to see slipknot as soon as I can. Eloy elevated the band for sure!!! But he elevated every band he played on. Just take a look at the Brazilian band Gloria when he got in. What an amazing drummer!!!

I saw slipknot at mayhem 2008 with Joey and Paul and saw system in 2013 and honestly System was better live imo

o principal o Eloy conseguiu, tocar todas as músicas no tempo original... o baterista anterior me dava agonia.
Pra ser honesto, o próprio Joey tocava sem metrônomo. Fazia meio que parte da "essência" do tocar ao vivo... E isso prejudicava demais as performances. Agora os shows estão mais digeríveis, finalmente.
Acredito que isso mesmo que o próprio slipknot buscava sem dúvida.
