In this video dr karthikeyan explains the method of full body check-up and laboratory tests to prevent diabetes, heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke. He begins the video by discussing how to measure weight, height, BMI, waist circumference, and hip circumference, as well as how to interpret overweight or obesity, which can be a personal risk factor for diabetes and hypertension. Thereafter he continues to explain basic health checkups such as fasting blood sugar, postprandial blood sugar, measuring blood pressure level using sphygmomanometer, lipid profile check-up such as Low-Density Cholesterol (LDL), triglyceride, cholesterol and high density cholesterol (HDL). Further, he explains the importance of liver function tests (albumin, bilirubin, enzymes AST ALT, Alkaline phosphatase), kidney function tests (creatinine), and tests for cardiovascular health and heart function. Thereafter he explains about the tests for detecting anemia such as hemoglobin tests and thyroid function tests such as TSH, T3, and T4. Doctor karthikeyan ends the video by summarizing the various tests and risk factors and when these tests should be done to prevent diabetes, hypertension, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke.

Sir, digital also shows accurate. Some people show high B/P when they go to doctor due to anxiety. And what about checking AC, PC at home with glucometer? Some say there is a different with lab reading.

Very clear and useful information regarding health checkup package.. But public has no choice as the hospitals will not do individual test. It is a business for them to tell patients to go for complete health checkup. Also I have observed when after doing this complete health checkup , our results are given in a big fat file. But the doctors do not go through it completely. Now after seeing your video it makes sense that they see only the important parameters mentioned by you and rest of them are unnecessary tests just for the sake of package price. Instead the hospital should make the health checkup tests based on the age of the person , gender and tests accordingly.
