What would be great would be a way to "save" a mix. When I'm not playing at church, somebody else is generally using my Sennheiser IEM pack. They mess with my mix then I have to re-do the whole thing. Also, a way to pull the main mix into Monitor Mix to give a starting point would be really useful as well.
I have the same problem. We have 9 choirs at the church and each choir director changes the mix between services. We need some way to restore our "standard" mix before each service. It would be ideal to have separate mixes for each choir that we could pull up before the service. We don't allow the directors to use the StageMix app, because that would allow them to change too many things!
@@fr.leeroos5481 I would be happy if I could sync my in-ear mix with the main mix. Then I could simply bump up my guitar a touch to make sure I could hear myself.

First video I’ve watched if yours. Thank you. I need help setting my church up. We have tf5, and want to go to in ears, Using monitor mix. If I connect my iPhone with app to our board is that enough to listen and mix in my ear buds? Do I need an actual in ear set say like shuresm7?
you would still need a set of IEM's ( in ear monitors ), you can simply control your mix with the phone.
So glad to discover your video. I have recently become the drummer of our Praise and worship Team. I have attempted multiple times to connect my iPhone 10 to TF5 Monitor Mix with no success. I’ve called Yamaha with little or no help. I’ve spoke with multiple people about the network. I still can not connect. I can see it come up and select it. I hit connect and it does not connect. The sound tech can’t figure it out either. We are on the same IP group. I’ve checked that. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

I’ve watched several of your videos. Are you speaking of the one that gives detail about checking the IP address on router, TF5 and IPhone? I’ve watched that one and have checked that out already.
@@baileyj123 ok. Is your network set to static or dhcp? Do you have a switch in line before your wireless router ?

2. Not familiar with QL editor for laptop. Must that be set up prior to monitor Mix?
3. Your video shows iPhone connecting to TF5 network. Not the WiFi network, correct?

My yamaha mixer app refuses to open. All I keep getting is an error message saying that the app can't be opened with options to open it again (wich doesn't work either) or to close it. It worked the previous time I used it two years ago. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it numerous times and even restarted my phone numerous times and my app still refuses to work. Please help? I need it working next Sunday.
I can't seem to get it to play threw my headphones 😒 the app works and it's connected but it won't make sound
it is not supposed to make sound. it simply controls the mix. Where and how the sound from that mix is produced is to the operator at the console.

Real shame. I know yamaha wants you to buy their in-ear monitors but I was hoping after buying a Tf mixer they would let you get more stuff for free.
Question... is there any EQ'ing on the Yamaha Monitor Mix? Can you tweak the overall or individual audio, bass, mids, and treble?

Honestly not sure ? I do not think so. I remember someone writing the app a while ago but I do not think it was finished 😔

M7 had its own app, it wouldn’t be a personal monitor app, it would be a iPad control of the M7. The app exists on the App Store , you need to use the network port and connect wireless router
@@KINETICPROFESSIONALS I have the stage mix all for iPad. I’m just looking for a mixing solution for in ears. I use aviom right now and I hate it. I guess it’s an excuse to upgrade haha.
@@jonclark3421 ya it a bit too unstable for monitors, if your trying to hand out ipads for talent i would go with a cl/ql
@@KINETICPROFESSIONALS yes , I’ve got my eyes set on a QL5. I’ve heard a rumor that they are discontinuing support for those in a few years. Not sure if that’s true
