    This helped me out a lot on my TF1. Even tho I'm mixing a live band my boss was impressed with how my mixing was turning out with virtually no training!

    I just took delivery of this mixer and just loving it ,now the band can deal with their own monitor mixes.

    Do the presets on the library include turning on phantom automatically for mics that require phantom upon recall of a microphone preset ?

    Not a great iPad app. Use some of your brilliance to sort it out! How about a customisable iPad app?

    Is this made for people who couldn't care less about the art if mixing? What a shocking workflow 🤦‍♂️

      what do you mean?

    • @compucat
      @compucat Před 4 lety +4

      Late reply: the TF workflow is meant to be simplistic for "newbie-friendly" touchscreen operation; in reality, this just makes it incredibly awkward and slow to work with. Let's say we're doing some basic channel operation like adjusting the EQ. On most digital consoles, you can simply select the target channel and immediately grab the physical EQ controls in the channel strip. On the TF, you have to select the target channel, muck about on the touchscreen to get into EQ mode, then fight the touchscreen even more to awkwardly dial in your changes.
      On my Behringer X32 (or 99% of digital mixers, really), I can do that without even looking down. Hardware controls are good.

      @@compucat There's too much relying on the touch screen... Not my preference, especially for live use. The one-knob stuff almost seems dangerous and prone to easily cause feedback issues.

      @@soundguymoses8928 I rarely use the "one knob". I do find dragging the gain and frequency while listening very useful. The mixer is great at getting a quick start. I do a lot of mixing of multiple groups in a night. Having the ability to add a new player or quickly modify the drum gain based on the player without even having it though the speakers are really helpful. The one knob, intensity, and Vocal options are good for a quick setup, but then you can move to the regular EQ which sounds very good and get full control.
