Congratulations!!! I think you were bery wise to postpone the party! Sweetie they have pill form of buprenorphine that is 8mg. It can be cut or crushed and depending on how fast you metabolize it, you can split the daily dose up into 2-4 times a day. Interestingly enough, it’s only absorbed sublingualy, so if you swallow the pill whole it’s completely ineffective. A 1 month oop is about $100 if insurance says no. It also comes in a patch called Butrans. I tolerate the drug itself fabulous but the patches tore my skin up something awful! The films are extremely expensive for some reason, as are the patches. So far, mcas patients I know who have tried it find it’s tolerated well, provides excellent pain relief, and doesn’t make you loopy once you get past the initial week or so. 🤗 Its one of the few drugs that rarely causes a spike in prostaglandins and degranulation. Unlike the most common opioids, it has a long half life so if you need more for a day or two, you can take what you need without going into withdraws after a few hours. The other thing the pain clinic has me do is mix voltaren gel with emla cream and put a generous blob directly on my spine we wrap saran wrap around my torso until it feels better and repeat as needed. The voltaren is fabulous but needs to be used regularly to get maximum benefits of it. I know you have quite a few drug sensitivities ,as we all do, but thought I’d let you know about it if it is an option for you 🤗. My back is a mess too sweetie, so hang in there! I’m sending hugs, healing thoughts, and prayers your way!

My endocrinologist has me on 15mg in the morning and 5mg between 2pm and 4pm. I feel she is not giving me the right dosage. She had me listed as second adrenal insufficiency now she had me at just adrenal insufficiency. Prayers for healing on your back. And congratulations on getting married 🍾🥂💒
Yeah, your dosage doesn't sound right. Secondary adrenal insufficiency is not hard to diagnose. A simple stim test would tell you if you have primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency. 15mg in the morning is too high. If you are on hydrocortisone, the half life is only 4-6 hours, so you'd be getting a huge amount in the morning, a tiny bit in the afternoon, well after it has worn off, and then you'd have nearly nothing by evening. The human body NEVER has zero cortisol. You are probably both overdosed and underdosed in a single day. You need to do your own research on cortisol dosing and find a more knowledgeable endocrinologist.

Do you take steroids before bed? That could be not helping with your insomnia. I take 30mg in morning and when I’m feeling rough we bump it up to 60mg.
The government here in the UK 🇬🇧 are issuing people who are ‘at risk’ of severe complications from covid for example people on steroids/oxygen/non invasive ventilation 4 months supply of vitamin D to help with bone and muscle health.
I get a infusion every couple of months for my osteoporosis.

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!!! Secondly, don't feel ashamed of your back pain and not being able to tolerate the MRI. If you're having back pain from your fractures and you are required to lay on your broken back for 2 HOURS, of course you are going to be hurting. It's horrible they couldn't find a way to do it where it wouldn't be so uncomfortable - like on your side, propped up with pillows or something. I would say your stomach, but you have your GJ tube, so that wouldn't work. Regardless, I am glad it's over and I hope you won't have to go through it again.
Getting the right pictures in MRI’s are very important and requires very specific positions so most times the position can not be changed very much ....

I have adrenal insufficiency and steroids are the pits
I have Addison's. Steroids are great! You only get problems when you aren't properly dosed. It takes research and time but if you dose yourself correctly, you shouldn't have issues.
I was put on 50,000iu of vitamin D weekly for the next 2mo.
I take 10,000 iu a day. I have multiple sclerosis and was very deficient. I know that being deficient is common in autoimmune diseases. It has taken time but I not deficient anymore.
Adults make 20mg-30mg daily. Not a strict 30mg. It depends on age and total body mass. I have primary. The fact that you have so many GI issues mean you probably don't metabolize oral steroids normally.
There is people who get the COVID who have no symptoms at all.... there is a very very wide spectrum of symptoms
That's equal parts all terrifying and relieving. Relieving because for some it is so mild they have no symptoms and I certainly don't wish for them to suffer at all. Horrifying because...same reason. So mild, they spread it well and all through their network of connections while not knowing they are doing so. :(

Angel Get you some Sea moss bathing soda and water . Minerals are your best friend hun It goes down like this minerals vitamins . I spent most of my life livening about like you just different circumstances but at one point I was at 186 mg of steroids for over a month I was on so many medications I was getting so sick I was going downhill so bad so fast and one little thing will just throw me right over the edge I keep going to the Dodgers keep going to the Dodgers keep going to the Dodgers and never once ever felt any better just kept feeling the same nothing got better because my Dodgers were treating me by covering up my symptoms and my problems instead ofGetting to the root cause of the problem which is you minerals which was me minerals my body was over intoxicated from too many pharmaceutical drugs you keep going that route it’s not gonna be a very pretty sight you need to heal your body angel my prayer that you fine this message and it help u . There is healing doctors that you can go to that will help you . . But your doctor is Unfortunately an educated like mine was in true health my thoughts and my prayers go out to you hun So happy for you
