Also heard this station identifying on sept 22 at 0500 UTC. with another station on the same frequency : Pulse 2 in the UK, but they could be isolated by rotating the PL 880 and the loop.

For MW DX is a must have, because the ferrite antenna is not enought. And this Tecsun AN-200 is more than enought for DX and it's price is also very good. You can check my unboxing video to get more details.

Excellent DX Sergio! How are you getting on with the R9012? I am currently testing the performance of what I think is the cheapest off-the-shelf SW portable in the UK (£8!). Getting some decent results on it.
I don't get much time to test it, but so far the best performance is on MW and SW. On FM especialy with very strong signals you get lots of images on FM

I was just wondering if there were still any MW stations in Portugal ... I can hear lots and lots of Spanish stations but never one from Portugal on the MW band.
Is broadcasting totally FM in your country (or DAB ?)
Here in Portugal are only 2 Boradcast stations on MW on various frequencies across the country, their power is low, max 10 Kw, thats why you can't receive, even for me is sometimes dificult to receive during the day.
On FM we have lots of them max 50 Kw, but only analog. Portugal was the very first countries to have DAB in 1997 but they stop broadcast some years ago.

+Sérgio Pimenta (CT2048SWL) Thanks for the info. Portugal is a real challenge for MW DXing, as nearly all MW channels are occupied by strong Spanish stations !
For your info, all French MW transmitters will stop at the end of 2015.

+TSF36 At night here in Portugal is very difficult of logging because Spain uses a lot of frequencies! That's sad knowing that France also will switch off the MW band, but it's good to log DX rare stations.
Is AM better on the PL680 (with the loop)? Pls make a vid..
