  • Using a proper tunable Medium Wave Loop antenna can improve a lot the Medium Wave reception even during the day (which only rely on ground wave propagation), allowing to do some proper DXing.

The Tecsun Loop Antenna is excellent. Some people have said that making a homebrew is much better, but the Tecsun has excellent reception capability for its size & is very portable. Great demonstration & 73s!

+mutezone Yes, I agree with you. Before purchasing this loop antenna, I considered to make one, but the variable capacitor it's almost the price of the hole antenna! And the Tecsun antenna is much more prettier and stronger than a self made one!

I still remember how my dad had to work with his old huge SW receiver just to be able to listen to the BBC all the way at the other side of the world though I am sure they could have had some relaigh stations along the way to strengthen the signal.

Aside from the static, that loop definitely brought more audible signal from the receiver. ...so a signal with better signal-to-noise would be understandable. Thanks for your video!

Great video and demonstration of the difference made by a loop. I use a Wellbrook loop and a Lowe HF225 or an SDR for medium wave DX.

I did not hear anything, just static. I though radio should transmit some information...
