Good lord people, this ain’t a cold start. This is green grass and a poorly tuned diesel. Any diesel with fuel that has the additive that keeps it from freezing, and correctly functioning diesels will start just fine.

In the Army we would block the exhaust for cold start, to keep backpressure on the engine and try to build temp faster. Worked pretty good on hmmwv's
