- If light goes at the speed of light, why doesn't light itself time travel? If yes, then How Do Photons Experience Time?
In 1905, Einstein put forth his theory of special relativity, noting that the failed Michelson-Morley experiment and the phenomena of length contraction and time dilation would all be explained if the speed of light in a vacuum were a universal constant, c. This means that the faster something moves - the closer to the speed of light it moves - someone watching it at rest will see their own times and distances as normal, but someone “riding” the fast-moving object will see that they traveled a shorter distance and traveled for a shorter amount of time than the observer who remained at rest.

I have some doubts
1) Proton has both wave and particle characteristics, but what was the exact colour of a proton ( ex: sunlight as Yellow and star as white, is it because of particle characteristics? )?
2) For example if a spaceship was moving at light speed (Consider the whole ship as an artificial proton made by humans), then astronauts inside the space ship also have wave and particle characteristics right!! then is it creating any impact on his body? are they able to survey?
3) And the last, even the proton have some lifespan right, after travelling to certain lightyears, it will dead/disappear?. because it requires some energy to travel right!!

Mr.GK, always you explain the things so nicely. Thanks for your videos. I think there is a misunderstanding about travelling at the speed of light. When you travel at constant speed there is no time dilation, even if you travel at the speed of light. According to Einstein, when you travel at constant speed there is no way to tell whether you are going in one direction or all others are going in opposite direction. Only acceleration can tell the difference, when you accelerate you will feel it. Only acceleration can create time dilation. Till you accelerate to the speed of light time will be changing for you. Once you reach the speed of light there is no more time dilation.

1. The photons created by the sun and other stars was able to travel crores of light years.
But the photons created by a torch or lamb can only able to reach some meters can you explain the science behind it.
2. How a photons can able to travel crores of years. How can an object smaller than a size of an bacteria, have this much energy to travel huge distances.

"The photons created by both sun and torch light are the same, the only difference is their energy level. We are able to DETECT the photons from stars which are billions of light years away because, they are produced by very high every nucleosynthesis process and even though photons lose energy as they travel through space, they have sufficient energy by the time that they reach earth for us to detect it. It also depends on the light sensitivity of our measuring devices. Whereas the light produced by a torch light comes from a very low every chemical reaction in battery, but these photons can go crores of km too, but they will becomes UNDETECTABLE sooner since they have very low energy"

"Photons are the only sub particles which have zero REST MASS, their mass is proportional to their energy since they always travel at the speed of light. There are also lot of photons from distant stars that reach earth but are UNDETECTABLE by our instruments"
