I just want to point out that when mentioning speed, it is the speed of light which makes it possible for time travel. According to Einstein's theory of special relativity, time slows down for you relative to the outside world when traveling at the speed of light. The example that you showed on the atomic clocks on the flights vs the ground station is a good example on time dilation but as human's if we ever want to experience the actual time travel, we would need to travel at the speed of light. At CERN this was proven with the current human technology having the protons whizzing around the Large Hadron Collider at 99.9999991% of the speed of light.

Depends on how you see time. If you define time with respect to science (atomic clock - duration between two events) , time dilation is possible. If you see time as a constant ( there is no start or stop), science fails. As time passes by ..many scientific theories have been obsolete...

Good information brother, yet i have a different view on this, time dilation occurs in center of the earth due to it's higher gravity and spacetime curves creates time dilation in space. I even agree we are not just traveling in merely directions measured to longitude and latitude, we travel with time too. But as far as i know, time is a continuum pattern, it is indefinitely progressing, to make it really slower and though theories state it can be achieved by traveling at a speed faster than the speed of light. Traveling over a continuum pattern with such speed, especially when the pattern is tied up with events, i feel going backwards to a specific point is impossible. Yes, if we like to go forward or if we want skip binding from earth time we could accomplish by traveling space. May be technologies have something that travels at the speed of light or even more, but traveling in a static medium is different. If i'm right relative velocity requires at least of the object at rest when comparing. My humble opinion time travel is impossible, we can hold the time back from catching us at its regular pattern and its impact on us. I agree with aging process differs in different part of universe.
