- Which Tacoma will be the new flagship model? I did a detailed comparison based on the Spec Sheet from Toyota's website. The results may surprise you as to which Tacoma has the most features.

A couple of reasons I disagree with the assessment.. first, If I'm not mistaken the Pro also comes standard with Hydraulic bump stops and second, the premium for the iso seats are baked into the standard pricing for the Pro which are sure to make the Trail hunter version the less expensive model. Thank you for putting this together though, very enlightening.
I have seen a couple things that the TRD pro will start at roughly around 50k or little more and be able to add certain things with a max price of like 65k. but these are all just guesses so we will see who has the best guess come march! Great video man!
That would be nice for it to start that low but who knows!

@@Vec135 55k would be nice, it would make it more affordable for sure. One reason I doubt it will be that low is because in every Toyota line-up the TRD Pro is always a few grand more expensive than the Limited Trim Type. This include the 2023 Tacoma, 4Runner, Sequoia, and Tundra. And right now the 2024 Tacoma Limited is 52K. With the Hybrid engine it will hit 55k. But who knows!

The price ratio between the Tundra SR5 and Tundra TRD Pro is 0.7. If you use that same ratio on the Tacoma SR5 you get the Tacoma TRD Pro to be exactly 60k. I'm hoping for less but you never know!
I think your estimates are very reasonable but the tundra TRD pro starting at only $12k more than a Tacoma seems crazy. Currently $72,130 msrp with perhaps some discounts happening and likely a slightly better interest rate than when the Tacoma TRD pro goes on sale.
Yeah the price will jump into the $70,000 range with dealer mark ups on both trim levels.

Correct. Right now Toyota says both the Trailhunter and TRD Pro will have a 1 inch front lift and a 0.5 inch rear lift.
Being a first year and possibly a big rush for people to be first on the block to have one, I see unscrupulous dealer “market adjustment” price hikes! Along with already higher interest rates, I’ll probably take a wait and see stance.
can you install a retractable tonneu cover to Trailhunter?
Nothing from Toyota configurator tool. But I’m sure aftermarket will make one

My prediction is if interest rates don’t go down people are going to be hesitant to buy

I’ll seriously consider a Trailhunter if it’s $60k or less.
If they aren't careful, I will just go with a Ford Ranger Raptor. Please don't get crazy on the price Toyota.
Especially b/c the Raptor is under 60k

Great vehicles overall but the deal breaker for me is the turbo engine...I'll never buy a vehicle with a turbo engine.

@@thesilveremir No, I've been too busy to work on the whistling issue. Hopefully I can lower the fairing this week and see if that helps.
Also, I had an issue with the left rear attachment bolt. When attaching the rack, that bolt was extremely difficult to tighten; it was so difficult, it felt like the bolt was going to snap. I tightened it down until the rubber washer expanded a little bit then stopped out of concern that the bolt might break. Hopefully I expanded the rubber washer just enough to ensure no water intrusion. I went through a touch free car wash the other day...so far no signs of a water leak.
The rack that I removed was the TRD Pro rack...had to use a propane torch to get the red loctite to loosen...very difficult job.
@@morpheus1818Yeesh! Sounds like some loctite was still stuck in the threading which makes it hard to tighten a new bolt down. But hopefully lowering the fairing will reduce the whistle, if not maybe raising it could be an option too.
I'm thinking I wouldn't want to pay that amount of money they are going to want for something that's rusts and dents.
