The fact Idi Amin thought was big Dog tried to fuck with his older brother Nyerere, then Nyerere had enough of him smashed Idi Amin and kicked him out of Uganda.

Our father of nation Nyerere used to say "European nations which are powerful will unite to deal with a small country from Africa but African nations cannot unite to compete with other major economies". I was listening to this young man , i really thought first he could leave the past left behind and discuss the benefits of us having east african federations which is very important for us all. I was in Uganda last few months and i felt like another home .

akagera was for rwanda as its even in rwandese language. even when u go there today they many rwandese. Actually many parts of rwaand was cut to the side of uganda including places like kisoro, ntugamo etc. Easter congo was Rwanda. Then uganda was cut to the side of kenya. Then some parts of Sudan was cut to the side of uganda too.

The Kagera war wasn't about taking back Kagera from Tanzania. That was a propaganda slogan conjured by the Tanzanians to give justification for evading an independent territory. Amin had already fallen out with Nyerere because the latter was siding with Obote to topple Amin. In fact the first Tanzanian invasion was in the mid 1970s but it failed because Obote wrongly thought his faction (Kikosi Malumu) could topple Amin without the likes of M7's FRONASA faction. Nyerere reluctantly allowed Obote to attack Uganda which ended in utter failure - obote's special officers drowned in Lake Nalubaale in huge numbers (over 150 cadets). The second Tanzania invasion in 1979 is what toppled Amin; he was partly to blame because he started the bombardment of Kagera - this gave the justification for FRONASA/ Kikosi Malumu attack with the Tanzanian Army.

@kasulebriankalule2129 stop inflating the importance of Museveni in the 1979 war. Museveni was nothing after the 1971 military coup against the UPC government. He was a researcher in the president's office by then. The failure of the 1972 attampt by the exile Ugandans living in Tanzania was because it was too early to fight Amin who had just taken over power. Museveni went to Tanzania because Dr Obote was there. He knew Obote would one day fight Amin and that will be a good chance for him to fight for his personal interest by first unsing Obote.
The same thing happened from 1986, when Museveni after violating the peace agreement he signed in Nairobi stormed Kampala just because he knew he had great support from Baganda. When Museveni came, the people of northern Uganda (Acholi and Lango), the people of Acholi started to fight Museveni immeduately instead of waiting for some times. The war in the north did not go far, not because the fighters were weak or any problem. It was because Museveni who came to power only some months ago was still the darling of many in Uganda especially in central to the level that fighting him would be very difficult.
The success of the 1978/79 war against Amin was because, the people of Uganda was already tired of Amin's rule. Each and every Ugandans alive at time time wanted change by all means the same way Ugandans are desparate of change today. For any war to succeed, the people's support is very important than the guns and other military hard wear the fighters have or had.
The Ugandan exile and Tanzanian forces who entered Uganda around 1978 or 79, had open and secred support already in the country. The same way Museveni when he started his rebellion agianst the UPC government in 1981, he had great support in Buganda region. If Kampala was not the capital city of Uganda by then, Museveni or Idi Amin would never have gotten the chance to take over power from the government of the UPC.
So, if the people of Uganda were not in support of the invadors from Tanzania in 1978/79, the government of Idi Amin would never have been toppled. Today should any rebellion starts against the NRA/M now, it will be difficult for the NRA/M to win. Ugandans, especially the ordinary poor are very desparate for change but are being let down by the political elites who are only after money, wealth and riches.

@@thelies-uganda7096 I don’t think you’ve the capacity to understand what I’ve written. You sound bitter and guided by hate. What you’ve written is wayward off my commentary.
For your information, NRA/M regime has suffered more rebellions but have luckily defeated each rebel group. Majority of these groups finally joined the NRA/M govt uptodate. Even the ADF that has persisted eventually turned a terrorist group without a known shape and ideology.

@@kasulebriankalule2129 What capacity should some one have in order to understand your writting? If to understand you writtings needs a level of capacity than such kind of writting carries more of lies than the truth.
The claim that the NRA/M have had more rebellion against it and have defeated them is not because the NRA/M is very strong but for the following reasons.
      1. The rebellion against the NRA/M was started too early. At that time most of those from the central were die hard supporters of NRA/M, including some from Western Ugand. For any war to succeed the people around the capital city of a country must be in support of that rebellion. That was not the case in the early years of NRA/M. Today I do not think such high support is there for NRA/M and Museveni in central and Westerm only those benefitting are still supporting the regime.
      2. The propaganda lies of Mr. Museveni and his NRA/M was very strong then to the extend that many though they were better that the past regime. Today I doubt.
Now you claim I am bitter, no telling the truth is not being bitter but the NRA/M liars and propagandist alway claim one is bitter the moment they are cornered in an arguement. NRA/M cannot sustain a debate which is without lies. The moment one starts to busrst their bubbles (lies) they start to behave strangly and accuse you of being bitter. The best thing I expect from you is to challenge what I have said.
What you claim that, what I have written is wayward of your comments is nothing but running away from being challege because you have nothing in your brain to say.

Balderdash utterances by an ignorant commentors. The USA and the UK have an army and ammunition in Kenya. Train their soldiers in the Kenya terain. Tanzania attack Uganda was funded by the British. Because they wanted Amin toppled. Unlike with H.E Museveni, Europe considers him as the stabilizer of the East African region. That is why grants and foreign aid is given to the NRM president.

You can not talk about the chwezi dynasty and fail to talk about Bunyoro, if you're truely trying to bring up the Historical perspective. You can not talk about Kageera region, the BihaaraMuro, Karagwe, Kyerwa, Muleeba, ngara , Bukooba Missenyi & all those areas names are in Runyakitara. all those are Runyakitara words even update of places in Bunyoro are still named so in Runyakitara Dialects & languages. We learnt that history also. Ssebo you laying give Bunyoro it's credit facts. Don't beat around the bush talking about Bemba an Intelligence Chief Who worked for Omukama Chwa (KABALEGA) Bemba was also called Musoota meaning he is a cunning 🐍 snake but poisonous to Buganda becouse he worked as a Bunyoro Kitara Empire Chieftaincy of Intelligence. Ssebo revise your History. Buganda or Kintu Never ruled any where in those areas, Kintu was never a Muchwezi or a Chwezi leader. Bemba was a trader & Bagandans they just traded with Chief Bemba Nyoka aka Musoota . Don't talk about Kintu ruling as a Chwezi leader in those areas. That's Rubbish, fact check your History. @Sula Nawagali. Wagaala histole wo please
    It's Only
Bunyoro that once ruled Rwanda , Burundi and the rest of North Western Tanzania.
But as a muganda Mr. Mawagala I know, why your not going to give straight facts on Bunyoro Kitara Empire's Chwezi dynasty rulers and you call it Uganda 🇺🇬, that never existed by that time. that's what I understand why you have to speak, with out mentioning "Bunyoro" even update Runyakitara languages are Runyakore, Rukiga, Runyoro , Rutooro, Runyarwanda , Rurundi, Rwamba, Rukoonzo, Rufimbira , and many more Runyakitara languages and dialects.
Even update Runyakitara languages are spoken in Tanzania in the Current Modern day today.
Uganda started in 1962. Before that time it's something else. But to keep our history connected That's why Even Ugandan government 🇺🇬 choose to use that region of North Western Tanzania in the Oil pipeline because those areas are full of our Brothers and sisters.
