đ EXTREME KITCHEN CLEAN & DECLUTTER + Satisfying Before & After | Declutter Breakthrough | Cabin pt1
Hello everyone and welcome to today's extremely motivating and satisfying video! We are finally at the cabin YAY! I have been wanting to deep clean, declutter & organize this cabin for a very long time now and that time is finally here! This is our family cabin, this cabin was built back when my husband Ian was a kid and it has never been decluttered, it's also never really been organized and it definitely needs a really good deep clean, so that's exactly what we are going to be doing in this cabin series. Believe it or not the kitchen and the bathroom is probably the least cluttered so since this was my first cabin video and I wasn't sure exactly how to go about this or what to expect, I wanted to start with the kitchen, plus I usually always start with the kitchen anyway, as its the heart of the home, and usually has the most traffic. The before and afters are so satisfying! Thereâs a lot more work to be done at the cabin, we made a really big dent but there's still a ways to go! When the next cabin video will be out, I'm not sure but it will be out soon. Also, in todayâs video I discuss a major breakthrough moment I recently had, this one is big, itâs a conversation you don't want to miss. I really hope you enjoy today's video, thank you so much for watching and being here with me! I appreciate you so much! Xoxoxo

IG UPDATE:
New Instagram Account is coming soon, it's currently under construction, but I will announce when it's back up and running again. I wanted to start fresh with IG, it's most likely going to have a new name, with old and new content. Iâm refreshing it LOL - ZĂĄbava
Awe your father in law was so appreciative! The kitchen looks so much neater and bigger! The metal kitchen tool you wondered about is a steamer insert. It opens up and fits into different size pans. You fill the pan with a couplle inches of water, add the insert, then put in whatever you want to steam, then cover the pot with a lid.
I think the copy write/trademark was 1983, not when it was made. My grandmother used Murphyâs in the 1930âs., if it has nit separated, it is still good.
Oh my gosh it's been around for a long while, I had no idea. I thought it was funny that I found Murphy oil soap considering the fact that I had no idea what it was up until recently. I love that stuff it's amazing. Pretty sure it was separated, but very good to know that if it hasn't separated that it's still good, you'll learn something new everyday lol
Minimalism is not about getting rid of stuff or having a fixed number of items. It's about loving the stuff that you have. So you decluttered clothes and decor and have no problem letting go of them, but you like candles and wax melts? Keep them! That's what minimaliam is all about! Letting go of the stuff that doesn't bring you joy and keeping the stuff that does. Don't make yourself miserable by putting that kind of pressure. Been following you almost since you started and i enjoy watching the videos and listening to your rants and stories đ†Sending lots of love from Romaniađ
Love this cabin series. You can actually see such a change, canât wait till youâre up there again. Hope all your family feel the calmness itâs bringing to the cabin. â€
I think minimalism is not an end state, it is the journey. If you have a lot of something, and use it, then you have a reason to have it. If it just sits there unused, then consider decluttering. That is minimalism... keep up the great work! đ
I couldn't agree with this entire comment more... absolutely đŻ!!! I love that you stated "minimalism is not an end state, it's a journey" wow is that so spot on! Ann I always look forward to your comments. Thank you for watching and being here with me đ„°
I was going to mention the container concept, but then you said those boundaries don't work. The key is only to keep what COMFORTABLY fits (no stuff shifting/cramming) into the container. Changing that mindset really helped me pare down more.
I love this video and am looking forward to the next one.
I think the cabin plates would be perfect either on the wall or on the shelf above the cabinets.
Awesome job! Pat yourself on the back.
Stuff steel wool around that under sink pipe. Mice wonât go through it. They have a nice entry into camp right now. Plus, pull the stove drawer all the way out. You will be horrified at what grows under there đ. When you get home throw your organization containers in the back so next time you wonât be rushed đ. Nice job Danielle. đ. I loved this one. Go back soon.
Doesnât matter how old it is. Murphyâs is good to use!
Decluttering shared spaces is so hard- it's great that you had the freedom to do that much decluttering. I feel like my family members would lose it if I got rid of anything...
The kitchen looks wonderful Danni. Don't beat yourself up Danni, no one else thinks that you deserve that kind of treatment, K. đ
I've been minimalist 3 years and everybody's journeys is different that what's makes you you and it all a journey
I have 55 hangars in my closet. Once they are used I can't buy any more clothes. If I do, something has to come out. The kitchen looks so awesome!!
Great job! đ suggest to your husband that the fridge door should swing the other way - looks like it would make life so much easier. So hard to Declutter shared spaces
I wear, if some brand would sponsor you, and if you would really like it; we would all be convinced to buy it. You are so enthousiastic!! Love it
The small metal cylinder is a steamer. You place it in a pot of low water. đ
32:45 thatâs a veggie steamer for pots! You set it in the pot and put like broccoli in it and then you just pull it up and out by the little ring at the top
Wow, this cabin looks just like a Norwegian cabin up in the mountains, it's so nice đ I loved what you did with just decluttering, looks so much cleaner too.
It was awesome to finally see the cabin! I love what you said about minimalism and comparing yourself to others. I struggle with the same thing. Can't wait to see more!
I do it all of the time, I have to constantly tell myself to not compare to others lives, others journeys, that are not my own! Thats what makes our journeys unique, its our own. And I too often think the resources im using is the rule, but its really just a helpful guide. You're so SWEET Kristyn, always so HAPPY to see you here with me! đ„°
This is adult content. Excitement over Swiffer supplies .
I'm seriously đ€Łđ€Łđ€ŁIts so crazy now that im older and LOVE to clean, how excited I get over cleaning products LMAO! It was a joy to see the Swiffer kit HA! Thanks for watching and being here with me! đ„°
That there 1972 appliance is an electric fryer (usually for chicken). The silver ufo shaped thing that opens out is a steamer.đ you made me feel so very old with the Murphyâs wood oil soap! It was invented in 1889, so that was a young bottle, lol. Barcodes started in 1974. By the late â80s, pretty much everything had them. I was thinking put Tomâs coffee mugs above the coffee bags, also.đ You made me very nervous with your knee on the counter and your foot on the chair! Girl!!!†Your MIL had good taste and I hope we see you hang the plates-the cabin is really cool! Great job!
And I just realized I have that exact same rooster oven mitt that was on the fridge-and it was my MILâs.â€
The collapsible steel circle is a vegetable steamer.
That cabin is so cool! The family is lucky to be able to get together and have good times there. It has to be difficult, sorting out a place used by multiple people. That would absolutely stress me out. For example, I don't use koozies so I'd toss them. But what if the other folks LOOOOVE their koozies and I didn't know? That would be my thinking for every object.
OMG!!! That white oval platter with the slight swirled edges at 16:22!! That looks like my Corelle pattern!! If you decide to get rid if it, I will happily give it a home/buy it. Judy certainly did have good taste.
The covered electric skillet is the perfect cabin item, especially at breakfast. Lots of hungry folks? Thrown in a pile of eggs to scramble and you're ready to go. "But there's a stove." Yes, but the electric skillet can be used by someone AWAY from the stove and has higher sides than most regular skillets.
At the end of the season, you can put the counter utensils and other items in large ziploc bags. That way they'll stay clean so you won't have to rewash them the next season. Plastic wrap will do the same. Yes, I'm lazy and will look for every loophole to not rewash dishes.
Aw, to hear the love in your FIL's voice for all you're doing for him. Truly, go back and relisten. Doing all that work, showing him how much you care for him, his son, the grandchildren....you can hear his love and appreciation in his voice. You're doing great!!!
The end of this comment has seriously pulled at my heartstrings, you are the absolute sweetest. I am so blessed to have that man in my life, it is a privilege to be a part of that family, they are all the nicest, kindest down to Earth people. I'm so grateful and fortunate to be able to spend our summers at the cabin, I never had anything like that growing up and I think it's absolutely wonderful that my kids get to experience the cabin, it is they're absolute favorite place to be. I am very very blessed. I got lucky decluttering up at the cabin, Tom gave me full permission to let go of whatever, although I still ask before removing anything because like you had stated with the koozies, I don't want to get rid of something if it's special. I always ask before decluttering anyone's items, whether that's my mom, tom, the kids, Ian, I would feel absolutely awful if I let go of something that was important to someone else, so I always ask. Judy was the one who loved to shop, she had a lot, a lot of stuff and now that she's passed Tom wants to get rid of a lot. Honestly Tom could be an extreme minimalist and be very content đ by the way brilliant idea with the utensils, I would have never thought to do that, I wrote that down. I am so sick of washing all of the dishes when we first come up to the cabin in the beginning of Summer, because it's all been sitting, that is a great idea to just put it in plastic bags. I do love that electric skillet.. once I found out what it actually was đ much nicer than having to use the stove. I love that platter, we use it quite a bit up at the cabin, I thought it was mine but it's actually Judy's. But if we ever get rid of it you're the first person I'll contact đđ„° always so happy to see you here, thank you so much for commenting, watching and being here with me.lots of luv ,đ„°đ
Awesome cabin, you and your family are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy. The kitchen looks really good Danni, I am really enjoying this series, thank you for sharing đ
Iâm glad you took some time off. We all need that. I was hoping you didnât discontinue your videos.
Looking forward to the next one đ
Cozy cabin clutter clean out! Danni does it again! Nice job. đâ€đŠ
Danni that little silver thing that you took out of the cupboard is vege steamer you put into a pot and place the veges inside it to steam
About minimalism, I am definitely a minimalist, but just not a super strict one. Because I still do hold on to some things because of emotion or the item's potential. And I am also a collector lol so I have for example a collection of coffee mugs, most of which I never even use, just because I like them. The main thing that keeps me from being a super strict minimalist is the fact that a house honestly doesn't really feel like a home when it's stripped down so bare. And when everything is always so perfectly staged, it seems like no one actually lives there lol. So even though I am a perfectionist minimalist with ocd tendencies, I let it go in some aspects. I do believe you can certainly call yourself a minimalist and not have to justify or clarify it. As long as you stand by the process of keeping most things minimal, then it counts.
I have been decluttering all the items I sent to cottage over the years
Lol đ€Ł meeee too ha! In a lot of my videos, my decluttering videos, I sometimes have a cabin pile lol. It's hard not to, because some of the hand-me-downs from the house are in good condition and I see a purpose or use for everything so I bring it up there. thanks so much for watching and being here with me đ„°
The way you reminisce about Judy is so sweetâ€ïžher spirit is with you guys in that cabin xo
Also how sweet is your father in law! Aw.. have the best time with your family wishing you guys so much happiness
awww danni, what a fun time! the cabin is gorgeous, and I so appreciate you and every single guest star in your videos đ©” no matter who, be it Ian or his family, or your hilarious mom, everyone is so great and always brightens my day. I hope you all have a great summer at the cabin! lots of love
Four forks and seven years agoâŠâŠ. đ€Łđ€Ł great job as always danni! So awesome to see the infamous cabin in its glory!
So youâre from Minnesota. Oh yah! đ I am your neighbor, I am from Wisconsin. Hey neighbor.â€
What a lovely kitchen! I love the green cupboards and the twig-like handles - classy, cozy and original â€
I was laughing about you talking about the Murphy's oil soap from 83. Saying you weren't born then. I was 4 years old in 83 đđ
Danni! That's an electric griddle. My mom has one with the exact pattern but it has a chocolate brown lid (with the same leafy flower pattern). It makes the best pancakes in my opinion but it IS very big and bulky. Also yes, those are can coozies (coo-zee's) is what my family calls them anyway. And no, we don't use them either.
Yep I'm Australian and my mum used the electric griddle the best pancakes ever, I wouldn't toss it it would be considered a vintage item if you don't want I would suggest selling it and making some $$
Too many towels and bags can become mouse houses in cabins. I also share one with family and it is hard to keep organized when so many families use the space over the year. Minimalizm and decluttering are just terms we use now a days to make others feel better about finally clearing out the unloved, unneeded, unused. Also, Sku-errrs are for roasting hotdogs and or marshmallows over the fire. Strange word I agree.
My kids would love that loft!
Thank you for showing us the cabin itâs exciting
Yay! Since I don't know when I've been watching your videos after couple of days, hectic life đ miss your comments đ can't wait to see, maybe I'll edit after watching, who knows what my life throws at me in the next hour đ lots of hugs for whole gang, super excited about THE cabin
You sound like me HA! And same...this must be the season of go, go, go...non-stop busy LOL I feel the same way! Im always so HAPPY to see you here with me Renata! Thanks for watching & always being here with me! Lots of luv and hugs back đ„°đ
1983 was the year I graduated from high school.
You are a Great Lakes Girl! Oh, buckets! I laughed so hard!!! From Ohio!
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
It is so nice that your father in law appreciates your help! Iâm wondering how you approached him and the others to do this. I want to help my family so badly! Great job D!
So I kind of got lucky LOL Tom is not like my mom đ€Ł my mom has a more difficult time decluttering and letting things go, but she got to the point where she didn't want a ton of clutter anymore, so my decluttering journey over at my parents house is going to be a long and slow process LOL but with Tom he gave me full permission to get rid of whatever I wanted. Tom could be an extreme minimalist and be totally content with that. However I still asked before removing anything from the cabin. With my mom I sat down and had a heart-to-heart conversation with her, and just kind of talked about the benefits of decluttering and it motivated her. Watching my decluttering journey really helped motivate her to want to start her own. I talk up minimalism and decluttering so much that I think I convinced her to want to declutter. Not sure if that helped but I wish you the best of luck and positive vibes. Lots of luv to ya. đ„°đ„°
That cabin is huge! Ours was an open floor plan of 600 feet.
We have an even bigger bag of koozies. Not even all of our koozies are in it. đ€Šââ I really need to get rid of a bunch of them. Glad you reminded me
Dianelle, You are so fun and inspiring! You are such a lovely, beautiful spirit! Thank you for all the motivation and laughter - Lord knows we need it! Kids are officially off for the summer and I will be challenged more than ever to get my life together.đđđ
Itâs an electric frying pan-super useful! Makes the best hash browns. đ„°đ
Round thing is a veggie steamer that goes into any saucepan. Definitely useful.
That round metallic thing looked like a vegetables steamer. The upper parts you can unfold and on the underside are "legs". You can set it in a pot with water underneath and put vegetables in to steam them. It's looking awesome!! Great job!! I'd call the a very successful declutter!!!đđđđđđȘI also do have categories that are expanding somehow on their own so for me it's using up all my tea, candles etc. I'm not allowed to buy new ones until they are mostly gone.
Was thinking if you wanted to bring up the mini-fridge & the water cooler from home to the cabin it would still be used while your up there staying & not âcluttering up your kitchenâ till you can get the man cave organized & set up?? Just a thought. Love the setup of the cabin & looking forward to the series â€
I love this series already and canât wait to see more of the process unfold!
the big black metal things in with the pots and pans with holes is for cooking vegetables on the grill the silver metal folded up one with holes is a steamer basket. you open it up and place over boiling water to steam veggies
Minimalism is different for every single person.
That appliance stored by the slow cooker is called an electric skillet. We still use ours. Those are cool plates.
We just got back from a family cabin about 7 hours away. We stayed a week. Its always nice to get away. But, the nature thing... Idk... there's a lot of bugs, mice, snakes and tick bites, and I kind of get grossed out and freaked out little....lol đ€·
Dani, that one appliance you pulled from the lower cabinet is an electric skillet!!!
The silver round item is a vegetable steamer.
Thank you for letting me know that, it was driving me nuts trying to figure out what the heck that was đ€Łđ€Ł
Not sure if anyone else commented but the round silver thing is for steaming vegetables. It opens up and you put it in a pot with a little water.
So happy to see you again! This video was so much fun, and I was so touched when you found your mother-in-law's plates. Can't wait for more in this series!
Your family has a nice cabin, but it looks like you have a lot to declutter and organize. I enjoy your channel--thank you for sharing.
You did a great job. I love those plates I would hang them. They would look beautiful on the paneling. Thanks for sharing hugs!
Oh, buckets! đđ€Ł
The long awaited cabin declutter... it's really nice!
đ€Łđ€Ł 'oh buckets' another one of my many sayings đ so glad to finally be doing this at the cabin, it only took a year and a half to do this đ it's going to be a long process, but it's going to be so nice when it's done. Always so happy to see you here with me Jenny thank you so much for watching. đ„°
EVERY homemaker needs an electric frying pan!! Man I wish I still had mine, especially the past 4 months that my kitchen is being re-done!!!
U are getting so so great at decluttering!! Those metal pans w holes are for grilling smaller things like veggies on the grill. And that weird metal circular thing u found right after is a steamer! I have one!;) love this series!!â€
Love it!
Great videoâŠ.you are doing an amazing jobâŠ.had no idea Murphyâs Oil soap was from Cleveland, OH per the bottle you showed⊠thatâs where Iâm from and now living in the Columbus areaâŠ.I was 8 in 1983 Iâm a relic đ€Ł canât wait for the next videoâŠthanks for all you do! đ
I had no idea it was made in OH either, although I had no idea about Murphy oil soap until recently, I wish I would have known about it sooner, it's great stuff. Lol I'm an 80s baby. You are so sweet, thank you so much for your kind words, watching and being here, so very happy you're here with me đ„°
omg it looks so nice to be there in nature with family im lovviiing to see the famous cabin you have talked about for so long in the other videos
Really looking forward to this series! â€
Woooow!!! đđđ
Great job Dani on decluttering and cleaning !!! I think minimalism is indeed different for everyone. Itâs definitely not a one size fits all! By the way, you were holding up a metal steamer (that round metal thing w holes)⊠itâs great to steam veggies!
Great job and great video, looking forward to this series!!!!!!!! Minimising will only enhance the relaxation and rejuvenation of your beautiful cabin for sure. đșđșđș
Excited for more declutters!
Really nice transformation đđ

Epic!đđđđ
This was a really fun video, to watch. I like all your insights, Thank you â€
You did a great job! What an awesome place to get away to! Canât wait to see the next update!
Silver thing is for steaming vegetables. The tray with holes are for grilling vegetables on a grill and some people also grill fish on them.
I was just thinking that you can hang the 3 beautiful plates on the wall for decor & then you said just that. Such a great cabin, I love it !! đŠđŠđŠ
That little round silver thing with holes that you are decluttering, I think it twists to become a strainer. Looking forward to your next video.
Yah!!!! đ„łđ„łđ„łđ„ł Get it girl!!!
đ„łđ„łđ€Ł...đ„°đ
Love this cabin series.
Beautiful cabin, you are blessed.
Beautiful cabin! Good job!
*skyooers* đ
Thank you â€ïžđđŒ
32:45 open it up and put it in a pot - use to steam vegetables! Lol, I just used one tonight when I made broccoli. đ
Danni, you are chaos and I love it. You seem very genuine in your interactions and are always very fun to watch! The decluttering motivation is well needed right now, for me. đ
Omg it's a time capsule of different generations. đ The kitchen looks so good already!
How fortunate you are to have a beautiful cabin to get away from the rat race!â€
You did awesome on the time you had. I canât wait to see more đ
Until next time sweet Danielle đđ
Good job on the kitchen
I love your videos!
I cannot tell you enough how much that means to me. Thank you! And thank you so much for watching and being here, so happy you're here with me đ„° xo
Lol I've been using Murphy's oil soap for that long it's the best! That cabin is so nice! What a good job, can't wait to see the next!
So nice to finally see the cabin. So nice â„ïž
One drawer, one cabinet at a timeâŠ..and you can move very quickly đ
I donât go by numbers of things, I go by the space I have for that item. Once the space is full, thatâs it.
I already love the cabin series girl! I like how you done the video it was good and the ending with the trees and music felt cabin like. Lol and the baked beans đ You're doing great Dani!
