Fucking love her voice. To hell with people that say she cant sing.
They have to show the clips of her off of it and ignore all of the clips totally on, because haters don't care about truth, they care about only the narrative they suckle to like its mother's milk.
she the best
No backup dancers, no screens, no frills....Just pure talent.
And no voice.

You are right.
Madonna sings better than Christina Aguilera.
@@irvingalasraki9208 Without voice you ASSHOLE??? Now take a pill and go to bed...LOL
@@irvingalasraki9208 Christina Aguilera hahahaha, Christina once had a voice, and who cares?. If we are in 2022 and we are still talking about Madonna, since 40 years ago, who is the QUEEN OF POP, the most successful and influential female artist in history, and the woman who has the most successful tours in history. Could Christina Aguilera pull off something like this? Not even with "the best voice" could! Whitney Houston couldn't, because she reallyis the best voice in the world, much less could Christina Aguilera, who has been totally irrelevant since her second album. Madonna there is only one!
Her vocal style fits ballads like a glove.
Agreed
So true. She’s released some of the best ballads ever recorder.
Love this song yet this version sounds like ear rape
@Marvin Morawski She sings beautifully.
@@stojadinovicdushan agree
One of Madonna's best vocal performances. You can see and hear the confidence in her voice and most importantly maintaining control of her instrument.
Check out her performance of 'Bad girl' on her new tour, it's amazing!
The emotion she displays is wonderful as well.
@@emiliyam19 lowered and with a backing lead vocal track is not amazing at all.
@@antinoocp of course it's going to be lowered and with backing track when she's singing it 30 years later and without backing singers. For me it's an incredible performance.
Bad Girl is a true underrated masterpiece
Been obsessed with this performance since 93.

Get in line honey. I saw this performance live & never forgot it. I have been praising her for her appearance & performance on this particular SNL episode for decades. Others simply followed my cue.
@@screename123456789same here!! It took my breath away!! The voice, beauty and presence was electric. This song is a masterpiece and Erotica is too!!
Such an underrated song. Should have been a Top 10 hit. Really showcases your vocal depth. Tells a meaningful story.
After 30 years, we are honored to hear this masterpiece live. Hopefully, not for the last time. God bless the Queen!
She sounds beautiful here. Wow. One of her best live performances.
She does❤
Her musicality is SO underrated. She's amazing.

She sang it again thirty years later.
My favorite Madonna song...and the original video is a classic cinema art piece.
@JC and you are yet another troll. Go cry in a corner
And now she did it on tour for the very first time ❤
This live performance is so underrated her vocals are amazing 😍
I agree..she was 35 here and in her prime..nice vocals Madonna.

I agree
hard as f to sing this song, really hard especially sitting down lol
This masterpiece deserves a HD remaster asap
and they say the Erotica era was oversexualized... this is so sober and well performed
"in this life" is another gem from that album, so deep and touching
Erotica.do you know what it means? It's about love and sex so it's obvious that she will be sexual
I’ve never been a fan of her but I respect her artistry and I genuinely feel that Erotica is her only strongly unique masterpiece album she’s ever released .
NVC very good insight!
Huh? It’s a song about a drunk woman who sleeps around! I love it, but let’s be real 😂
There are several Madonnas portrayed in my mind. That girl singing alone with her band is the best one.
Victor Bailey and Omar Hakim in the rhythm section: true badassery.
She's a Weather Report fan.
2 jazz greats in this touring band, the great Victor Bailey on Bass and the great Omar Hakim on Drums. Both played with Jazz fusion band Weather Report!! Madonna definitely knows how to rock with top musicians and Producers
Both are incredible on these SNL performances. 👏
She does
Crown!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What I love about Madonna is the artistic sense that she possesses. film directors, photography, choreographers, dancers, musicians ALL OF THEM A+++ LEVEL. Thank you Madonna. her body of work will never be forgotten, she was art in every sense of the word her ego was big but she wasn't selfish she gave to us the best of the best
Madonna was in perfect form during this live performance of “Bad Girl”. Vocals on point, while singing with passion and conviction.
It was the only moment when Madonna performed this song LIVE. She didn't even include 'Bad Girl' to her The Girlie Show Tour. Why? This song is one of her biggest masterpieces
That it's one of the biggest enigmas of the world
Some rumours say that Madonna didn't include the song because there were some controversy, back in the day, about the lyrics "smoking".
From what I understand, she was GOING TO include it in her Girlie Show Tour but at the last minute she decided to leave it out and instead included In This Life.
Edwin Salas Hernandez actually, I’ve heard that she decided not to include the song only because it was too hard to sing it live
интересно
I remember watching this live. I was so mesmerised by her performance. When she finished, we all looked at each other ( the audience) without saying a word but I know we were all thinking the same thing, that we had just witnessed something incredible.
lucky you
She’s incredible woman ❤ I’m really envy you
Erotica will always be her best album. "Bad Girl" and "Fever" live in SNL are awesome.
Truth 💗
I Agree it's the only madonna album it's her first and only dive into R&B ballads .
@@BigReggii bedtime stories was R&B
I loved all the jazz on Erotica and all the real instruments playing mixed with experimental sound effects and samples mixed with goth and ALT. One of a kind. Never to this day have heard anything quite like Erotica!
Her run of Like a Prayer, Erotica, Bedtime Stories, and Ray of Light are the best four for me.
I’m so impressed. Her vocals are perfectly fine.
❤
Era o auge meu amigo.
This is really a great performance...I mean really
She does such a gorgeous job here of a difficult song to sing. I have a very strong suspicion she trained with a vocal coach for several days to prepare for the SNL performance, and she knocked it out of the park. One of her most underrated tracks. And certainly one of her strongest vocal performances.
Wow, Madonna's vocals are excellent.
She sounds good for being live as well as this is pre-Evita singing lessons and this song is very difficult to sing. She looks good. I remember when this aired.
Very excited to see this just a couple of years ago!!!!
Around 1993/1994 her voice sounded perfect! I definitely think her voice was better before the singing lessons.
Her singing was more honest, her voice was more "black" and she didn't try to sing with the proper technique. She just sounded like Madonna! Stronger, unique and charismatic.
Riccardoderek I have the same theory. Her Evita voice lessons destroyed her signature sound and timbre. For me, her pre-Evita voice was much stronger and richer.
I loved her original raw vocals. They sounded great and full of emotion.
Wander Lust yeah they, her handlers saw that she had a black ish sound and deliberately had her "switch" up for a more refined sound🙄
You have got to be kidding me. Madonna sounds the best ever.
Her tone here is f***ing golden! Absolutely gorgeous and only her voice is needed. In my opinion, one of the best performances of her career. Thanks for sharing your gift with us, Madonna.
Her voice is so unique.
I love Madonna so much! Such an amazing woman!
It would be awesome if she performed this brilliant song on one of her next tours...
Yep, it'd be awesome, this song is such an underrated masterpiece.

Madonna's voice at one of its finest moments, such a soulful and empathic performance.
Not a big Madonna fan but this is probably one of the single best SNL music performances I ever saw on the show. Right up there with the Pearl Jam and Nirvana ones. She and the band were flawless.
Agreed. Her performances on this are in my short list of most memorable SNL musical moments. Hugely underrated.
yes 🔥🎸
flawless
You have to include Janet Jackson’s performance of Throb on that short list as well!❤
This bitch is a TRUE ATHENA!! omg she has a voice like NO OTHER!! mr.bass man was doing his thang as well!!! Damn madonna u kill everyone in the industry
+Chris Hawkins -- Indeed, people may say whatever they please about her voice, but her lower range is beyong belief. That's why nobody can sing a Madonna song like her. They can't get the expression/performance and they can't the echo in the lower range. There will ever be the one and only Madonna.
+Jenna Roi You said that perfectly.
her voice is unique don't sound like no one else .
Incomparable stage presence. Madonna was, is and always WILL BE a badass!!!
Such an underrated bop! This is definitely my fave Madge SNL appearance. She seemed to be more thoughtful about her song choices and styling than ever before. What an interesting and oft overlooked period in her career. Justice for the Erotica/Bedtime Stories era!
23 years later. Who else is here? STELLAR performance.
25 years later, hehe...

@@enricovankeeken9503 no one would dislike this performance though
She did THAT!!! Such a queen
This has always been one of my favorite songs of hers, and it's too bad she hasn't done it live since this. It sounds awesome with a band, and she sounds great!
This would've been great on The Girlie Show tour. I think this was part of the band that she used later that year
megacultureman my favourite Madonna song, so sad, but beautiful.
Another great song forgotten !!
MadiSon5000 it's only cause she won't play any song from the 90s anymore
The Burn Book~That’s not true at all. Her last tour 2015-‘16’s “Rebel Heart World Tour” she did several songs from the 90’s including off the same album “Erotica”~”Deeper and Deeper”...also “Vogue” and several stops she did “Take a Bow”(and other random songs from that decade), all are from the ‘1990’s! I’ve been very fortunate to see her, in person all of her live performances except the 1st, ‘Virgin Tour’. From ‘87’s “Who’s That Girl World Tour” forward I’ve seen them all, and she always sings her hits from throughout her record breaking career, some tours a bit more than others, but she doesn’t forget that “we” love to hear it all, old, new and everything in between!
MadiSon5000
Forgotten? No way! Incredibly underrated album!
January 06, 1993:
Madonna performs "Fever" and "Bad Girl" on Saturday Night Live.
Today, Exactly 22 Years Ago...Iconic!!!
This is from January 16, 1993, actually.
+Ribelin2000 Correct.
Year 2019, I'm a 20 year old girl loving every inch of this icon. Long live Madonna!
Truly is no surprise why she is still the best-selling female musical recording artist in history.
Definently one of Madonna's best songs ever. I never knew this was the only time she ever sang it live...
This is such a haunting and beautiful song. Madonna is not the strongest vocalist, but oddly it works in this songs favour. There is such emotional depth to her performance, and her vocals fit perfectly with the subject matter of this song. I cant imagine anyone else doing it better.
OMG, I fucking LOVE this song of hers and THIS live rendition !!!!!! She CAN sing !!! "Bad Girl" and "Secret" are her best songs as far as I'm concerned. And this performance was refined, elegant and SEXY AS HELL. Well done girl. What a woman ! RESPECT.
Sexy as motha fucken hell
Totally agreed, completely
cs chaka she had a nice voice...
Excellent vocals here!
One of her greatest live vocal performances! She nailed it!
Yes 🎸🔥💟
I can't find words to describe how much I love her voice....
This has to be one of my favorite live performances from Madonna (Vocal-wise.)
Her voice is so on point here, not to mention her look... She's BEAUTIFUL!!!
♡ I LOVE YOU MADONNA ♡

@@RDrRD1989 those lucky people who were there....she would never perform it again.
This is by far one of my favorite Madonna songs. Extremely underrated.
I always come back to watch her amazing performance
Such a beautiful, raw and underrated song.
Dark, sophisticated, somber and elegant Madonna!
this is her best ballad ever
Zepellin Gacachofa yes !
but it's not on Something to Remember :/
Zepellin Gacachofa err “Live to Tell”?
Yes it is. "Live To Tell" is also a masterpiece, but the lyrics in "Bad Girl" are better in my opinion and even more emotional than in "Live To Tell".
@@wobu5361 live to tell and bad girl are perfect. But her best ballad is Take A Bow for sure
The one and only!! The most successful female recording artist ever!!! No one can beat Her Madgesty, no one. This is timeless. All hail the Queen!!!
Her look is very 90's, a nice mix of previous decades, she looked and sounded beautiful.
Whenever I want to travel back to the 90's, this is my ticket.
Uggg the golden age of Madonna songs and style. I miss it.
She's feeling it, that's amazing cuz sometimes it's more about the belting and vibrattos and melismas, the emotions get covered up by these things.
João Vitor interesting spin
Gonna say what I want and it's that Madonna has an exquisite recording voice. Live it is variable but always soulful. Big, powerful, beat-you-into-submission voices are ten a penny and usually emotionally bankrupt. Madonna's voice is unique and instantly recognisable and she can go from ballads to pop to jazz. She always serves the music rather than doing what most people do which is using the music to showcase their "vocal brilliance".
thats right. Madonna is versatile. Her catalog of music consists of R&B, Pop, jazz, gospel, hip hop, electronic, dance, folk, and she has done all of those genres with excellence! especially Pop and R&B in my opinion
madonna is not someone you can find in an American Idol or Norwegian or Chinese Idol audition. She is not someone like Mariah who can be mimic by hundreds of Lady Boys in Manila or Celine Dion, which can copied by little girls with lungs of steel in some Asian rice field. Madonna has a very beautiful voice, live or recorded, Madonna's voice has character and its theatrical. A great voice is not defined by PITCH... Voice Quality is not all about Bon Jovi or Kelly Clarkson screaming. I became a huge even before I ever saw how she looked like. When I first images of Madonna in the 1980's I never thought she was pretty. But she was most magnetic artist in the era. Brooke Shields and Phoebe Cates were pretty. But Madonna was all Voice, till Dita came and Madonna was forever the queen of pretty.
Your comment.......... is so accurate, I couldn't describe the Queen voice better.
***** Thanks, remy, I'm chuffed to bits and here I am listening to the amazing Bad Girl once again. Peace and love...
Cecily Macnamara 😊
Best vocals of her life on this performance!
My favorite Madonna ballad. Such a sad song, beautifully executed live. I could cry every time I listen but looking at her big green eyes stops the rain from falling down my face.
All.of that but shes got ocean blue eyes! When her hair is her natural dark brown it makes her eyes POP
My favourite Madonna era, she looked so damn gorgeous and those songs aaaa so great
Her BEST ballad ever
This is the reason I've been waiting for an acoustic/unplugged album all this time.
Madonna's music catalog, her music videos, her live performances from all the early ones and current ones, her documentaries, her films. All of her work share a certain color of that time, there's joy to be who we want to be without regrets. Her human experience, her talent continues to be seen, heard, read, and experienced. She takes you to a place that can make you uncomfortable yet it's having an open mind to her artistic expression that life isn't perfect. Let's just dance, and sing. Get up and do your thing!
It is a big song. I love this performance!
PLEASE, REMASTER THIS MASTERPIECE!!!!
How fab would that be, with "Fever" as well. This assumes they still have a better copy of the vid available from NBC/Broadway. No one was counting on the internet and streaming to make this kind of material worth keeping. 🤷♂️
This is a real forgotten gem. It only reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100!

Dum Found I don’t need to be a chef to be able to know when the food I’m eating is terrible. In the same vein, I don’t need to be studied to understand a good vocal performance when heard.
03:27 ?
Much more soulful than the studio version... that piano... that bass
First and only time she sang this song live... I wished she sang this on the Rebel Heart Tour, but I know she's not going to sing it... :c
+Commotion She just can't reach those high notes in songs like these...such a shame :(
Filipe Ferrari Well, I don't think she can't reach those high notes, but even if she couldn't, she could get her background singers to sing those parts over her...
+Commotion Well, it's known that she will perform a song from the Erotica Era on this tour, which she only performed once, it could be Bad Girl or Deeper and Deeper.
I Van She performed Deeper and Deeper on two tours (Girlie & Re-Invention), so it's either Bad Girl, In This Life, Rain or Bye Bye Baby (I'd LOVE if she performed any of them
+Commotion A fan recently requested the song during the request section but she said she couldn't remember the words. He also requested "Take a Bow" and "Crazy For You" but she said those songs were too slow and would put the crowd to sleep seeing how the crowd was a terrible one that night. She has been made aware of this gem recently. If she rehearses it and performs it, it would be a dream.
She did do an acoustic version of "Frozen", "Ghosttown" and a snippet of "Fever" recently.
A Masterful live rendition. Her voice, love her lower register in the chorus, the funk band. WOW,simply gorgeous!
One of a kind. Awesome.
She absolutely nailed this like never before
Victor and Omar giving M the kind of "live" musicianship she deserves :-)
Incredible on both this and "Fever"! ❤️
One of her best and most under heard songs.
dude. this is gold.
I so love this live performance. I am sure I still have it on VHS somewhere. Her voice is so beautiful here, and the story she tells so tugged at my heart as a very young woman back then just as it does now.

If you weren't alive to watch this, I feel sorry for you lol. This was her best era. This was the REAL Madonna, the genuine M. Not like what we see now. Erotica era was sexy, glam, controversial, and brilliant.
Cuanta verdad❤️, aun asi la quiero

Beatriz Sánchez I agree👍
She did a wonderful job and looks beautiful here
Victor Bailey on bass and Omar Hakim on drums. What a band! Madonna was not fooling around at this time...
gotta love this era
I love this performance. This was during a time when she received a massive public backlash due to the Sex book. You can see the exhaustion in her eyes, which added to the rawness of this performance. It was so indicative this era. So cool!
When Madonna still had talent and was an actual human being miss her my very favorite song of hers
....she sounded perfectly fine....however her band was SUPERB...
