How to Shape Goatee with a Straight Razor

- Trimming and shaping a goatee can be very difficult for beginners. In this video, Alex shows you how you can trim your beard down to a goatee and shape it like a barber would do. Using a straight razor really helps to sharpen the lines of the goatee and helps the look last longer. A straight razor isn't necessary though, you could use a regular trimmer or an electric shaver to get your goatee to look really similar.

Nice video! Would you advise using the edge of a comb lined up with the centre of your eye as guide when trimming to keep the sides straight?

Looks great, what style of goatee is this called?
It’s actually not a goatee at all, a goatee really is only a patch of hair on the chin, like what goats have. This guy has a circle beard, it’s a partial beard that has a circular shape when the moustache connects to the chin hair and the cheeks and neck are clean shaven. So yeah this is a circle beard, not a goatee.
He's a pro! I would have cut my neck and would be bleeding profoundly.... That's a steady barber's hand if ever I saw one.... This reminds me why you should never argue with your barber...hahahahaha
