Ford GT 1:24 Scale Tamiya #24346 -Model Kit Build & Review. Copyright 2019 Right On Replicas, LLC. All rights reserved. Review and photos by Doug Cole for RoR.
I built this exact model in this Tamiya Mica Blue with gun metal wheels and white stripes and I’m currently building another one with Tamiya Black with black wheels and red stripes, beautiful model
I have this one. I painted mine racing white with the red stripes. Tamiya is like the Rolls-Royce of kits. Very exact but very expensive. Once again, awesome build!
@@RightOnReplicas Not a problem here, Lol... I got a few projects I've been working on for a few years, In between my quick builds, Just listen to my classical music relax and enjoy! Thanks again my friend! 🏁👍
Great build! I was waiting to buy this kit until someone reviewed it. I like the color. I have never used Gravity colors but I have heard great things about them. It appears you really need to pay attention while building it. I will now give it a try.
Simply immaculate job. I will get this one, lol. Beatiful paint. This was a top notch build Doug! Thanks for sharing. All models should include glass mask, especially since they're getting so expensive.
You did a fantastic job Doug. I usuall find tamiya aircraft flawless in my opinion. Ive yet to build a tamiya car. I may ground the planes for a spell and build a few cars. Thanks for posting
AN, You'll have to be patient. Use thin glue and paint. Seat everything fully and you'll be fine! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas Consider subscription done. I need all the help I can get! I've gone for the Zero Paints Liquid Blue as it looks gorgeous.. are you advising thinning it before spraying and thinning other paints i.e. semi gloss black or just fewer coats? I know its a dumb question but thinning paints than are already thinned seems odd.
Saw a 60s baby blue Ford Gt race a corvette back around 66 and been a fan ever since ( The corvette guy didn't know what hit him ) . Nice build, looks great ! Tamiya likes to push things some times and I get they are just trying to put as much as they can into their models to justify the cost, and sometimes things get away from them. But if it was too easy we would complain about that !
Good news We got new music in band class today in band class Bad news Got a paper in language arts class for my parents to sign Did you ever get a detention
SP, Seems to be some controversy over the pronunciation. Some Japanese viewers are saying Tam-Ya. The I syllable is dropped. Whether it's one or the other grab your wallet and get some patience if you want to build one! -Doug

You have some great skills and a lot of patience. About halfway through this I would probably be throwing it up against the wall.
---Dave
Dave, funny thing, when you pay this much for a model you tend to keep going regardless! -Doug
Very cool!
Thank you comrade! -Doug
It was in the Gulf GT40 race car from the 60's, I like the '05 Ford GT, this one's very nice kit.
Wes, Ford's GT has always been one of my favorites too! -Doug

AN, No, I mean to use an airbrush and thin the paints appropriately as opposed to spray can paint!. Sounds llike you've got the right idea! -Doug

I hear dat GS. It's a good kit - you just have to think "thin" and test fit everything along the way.. I wish I could have seen that race man! -Doug
where you able to spray paint under the flying buttresses well , or did you paint it in pieces
PK, I turned down the pressure to 4 psi and put the nozzle in the tunnel to spray that area! - Doug
Those "nerf bars" are the DRL's and blinkers. I agree though.....they aren't very attractive.
Six, I assumed that but I was used to the blacked out headlight features of the past! -Doug
The doors don't open is pretty sad, they don't make them like the old days ❌
3M, Well, what can we expect for a measly $45.
Nice build but to me the Enzo is a prettier car by far.
WH, No doubt the Enzo is beautiful but it''ll set you back and million bucks too! -Doug

We got new music in band class today in band class
