It’s interesting that you said The Return was Sarah Palmer’s FWWM. My reaction to the return- before reading anyone else’s theories or discussing with anyone- was that it turned out Sarah was the true evil all along. My opinion has shifted somewhat, but The Return’s exploration of Sarah’s darkness, her link to Judy, and her character in general was a good turn.

Maybe I new to Twin Peak I have been listened to many broadcasts but haven't seen anyone heavily discuss how the series
strangely contact to topics like UFO phenomenon, psychic phenomenon, urban legends, occultism, higher dimension etc which I keep getting. For example like I find it interesting Lynch went on Alex Jones talk about 9/11 when he promoting IE(not sure its common), and there is a Masonic Lodge right next to Double R. Just today I having fun listening to some crazy interview about Sasquatch and at one point they said "curtain" superimposed over the forest footage
The Secret History of Twin Peaks novel touches on many of these topics, which is from Mark Frost's point of view. Lynch's perspective is always a mystery, so you just have to research and make connections yourself. Thanks for the comments!
I see a lot of Deer Meadow in Twin Peaks The Return.
yep. If Deer Meadow is kinda the "evil" Twin Peaks in FWWM, then it makes sense because (arguably) evil has seeped into Twin Peaks in The Return, because of the Doppelganger being out
I see the FBI arc as a sequel of Deer Meadow. And in a similar way, the Double R and Police Department arcs are continuations of seperate aspects of the original series (the soap opera aspects and the crime aspects).
Before I saw the Missing Pieces, I always thought that "I am the muffin" line in the Pink Room was a reference to the role playing sex games that Laura played with Jacques and Leo. I always had a vague impression that they played games like that, while being tied up, and called eachother different names. I think I got that from reading the Secret Diary years ago. I remember Laura was also hit on by Josie in the diary.
Don't know if you guys are Supernatural fans, but season 14 Nick/Lucifer storyline seems to me to have a fairly direct lineage from the Bob/Leland/Judy/Sarah musings here and whether or not the possessed are innocent, or if there is something bad in them to begin with.

Hey guys. Could anyone in the comments here tell me how to find Inland Empire for a reasonable price? I only have a region A bluray/dvd player. My internet connection is pretty bad so I could`nt even torrent it if I wanted to. I really want to see the film. Any help would be appreciated! Rock on!
I really don't, sorry. I bought a German BluRay set with that and Lost Highway/MulhollandDrive a few years ago. rumor is it might get a Criterion release soon? maybe check ebay in the meantime?
