Well, there are people who are abstinate like monks, yogi, etc. who enjoy a healthy body and mind. So all in all, it’s more about having a healthy lifestyle and the right set of practices.
For men, it's common to seek visual stimulation like pornography for arousal, which can have negative effects on adrenaline levels and lead to addiction. Addressing this issue alone while neglecting other important aspects of health is concerning. A holistic approach to men's health that considers not only physical well-being but also mental health, emotional balance would have been expected from an expert such as her.

great clip. thank you. just a thought. as you indicated that your idea of post nut clarity is diminution of desire for the person you are with, I understand it focusing on the word ‘clarity’. if you’re with a partner that is solely based on your sexual desire at the moment, the ‘clarity’ will show you that you don’t want that partner around anymore. BUT… if you’re with a partner that you have a strong connection with, outside of the sexual act, that ‘clarity’ would elicit feelings that connect you more strongly to that person. the phrase is based on clarity, not temporary need to ejaculate. just something to consider when you consider the definition of post nut clarity.

Amazing how similar our stories are, except that I, being in South Africa, could not get a job at the university as a postgrad on account of being a white man as they had to get their 'numbers right'. There were no men's or white's groups that was going to give me a bursary (such groups would be illegal) and so I had to work a full time job whilst studying part-time, Now that I have a PhD it does not mean I get to work either as it means nothing in South Africa unless it is paired with being a ethnically African and South African born. Yes even if I were ethnically African but not South African born I would be screwed. Other than that, my finding of what academia is, Is exactly the same.

Too much ejaculation for men makes them weak as it takes a lot of life force to re-make the sperm. Talk to any qigong masters or monks…they will tell you this. Pelvic floor exersize is meant to be good for prostrate without the weakening effect of loosing & re-making semen.
A qigong teacher told me that men shouldn’t ejaculate more than once a month….in order to keep ones energy strong and not depleted. Therefore do exersizes for prostrate without loosing vitality 😄

This one study that Dr. Malik refers to seems to be the only one that many site in support of frequent sex being one way to warde off prostate cancer in men. Can this one parameter (frequent ejaculation) alone be significant enough as a determining factor in a very complex eco system that is a human body?
During the AIDS epidemic of the 80s, it was suggested by some doctors that the immune system of these afflicted men could have been compromised because of frequent sexual activity ending with ejaculation.
A doctor of Chinese medicine in San Francisco (treating some men with AIDS at this time) insisted on temperance and forced celibacy for a period till the body recouped.
Chinese medicine equates sexual temperance with overall good health in humans. So does the Indian medicinal science of Ayurveda which has more to do with maintaining health rather than fighting disease.
Even if this study is a conclusive one as regards prostate cancer, what about the psychological- emotional wages that one needs to pay for this practice - ejaculating 21 times a month? Such frequency could break a marriage (unless one is into rape as a right), not to mention how jaded the experience would get with such hyper frequency.
Modern medicine (allopathy in particular) takes this mechanistic view of the body that is reduced to its constituent parts, much like a car. These parts can be fixed (when they are broken or malfunctioning) independent of the other parts, which all communicate with each other in subtle ways that bring about this thing called wellbeing.
When sex is deemed a purely physical act (on par with excretion) is this delicate eco system of the body being compromised in a way that the organism cannot register or feedback in an intelligent manner ?
We also forget that the mind is deeply involved in every act of sex, whether with someone or alone. One delves into the worlds of love and longing, memory of past experiences, dark fantasy and porn. It is an act that tends to split one into many parts making wholesome integration very difficult, the only exception being when one is in a loving relationship based on mutual respect and consideration of each other's needs.
The assumed benefits of frequent sex are taken for granted in our culture, more so as we begin to live more virtually than before. While it may keep the 'tubes dry' (and lessen the chances of getting prostate cancer as claimed) , it robs men of motivation and drive to achieve long term goals such as creating art, running a demanding business, raising a family, taking care of the elderly, keeping a marriage or whatever counts as being important for them.
Ejaculation is the ultimate dopamine hit.
No other human or social activity can rival this.
This is why sex addiction is a very real thing today because it has come to replace many other meaningful engagements that define what it means to be a responsible and productive human in today's world.
Any seasoned sex - marriage therapist will tell you how their most (sex) indulgent clients are also the ones with the biggest life issues.
The spiritual philosophies of India and China (Vedanta & Taoism) have maintained that sexual energy is the primal energy. It is the basis of all creative activity in the human realm.
Everything a human does is an expression of this first energy principle.
The male seed is special because it has the power to create new life.
But if it was wasted when used as a surrogate pleasure activity other problems would accrue as a consequence. Physical ennervation and psychological depression are two visible symptoms of this malady that is seen in our young today.
Will these turn into happy adults tomorrow even if they escape prostate cancer ? ?
Maybe another (more exhaustive) study of this type needs to be done, this time controlling for other parameters like physical and psychological health, educational and career achievements, success in marriage/relationships , parenting capabilities and spiritual practices if any to see if/how these may be impacted by frequent ejaculation in men ..
ps. I don't see any women weighing in on this yet!
    ~

Her literal last words are "That's why we have such little data in some areas." She's admitting a lot what she's saying about sexual health is theory throughout so it's clearly not all factual. I would add that equally I would not feel as confident with a man giving his theories on the female orgasm as I'd be much more confident in a woman's perspective who has actually experienced it. If you choose to throw logic out of the window just because someone holds a professional title that's your decision l. I definitely don't agree or condone some of Alfred Kinsey's research into sexual health but because it's based on scientific research I'll let you applaud his every word and action.

    • @FoxBox72
      @FoxBox72 Před měsícem

@@ashleyjohn4309 I don't think any one is "applauding her every word and action". And of course she admits the research is limited, as she should. But there's a good chance that she knows more about the research on that subject, and it's limitations, than most men who have experienced what she hasn't.
As for your point about men commenting on female experiences - most gynaecologists and experts on sexual health are men. Just as there are many midwives who have never had children, and elderly care specialists who are in their thirties, you don't have to have personal experience in something to know about it and be good at your subject on a professional level.
