    Feel free to ask any questions if they haven't been answered in the video!!
    Forgot to mention the battery life. It's 3 hours per charge. The case can charge these up 2 times providing an overall 9 hours of battery life. In my usage case since I listen to the volume at a moderate to sometimes louder level, I get about 2-2.5 hours of battery life per charge.

    My man thanks for reviewing these I have looked all over the tube for a truly honest review. Just like u say I have own these for week and it's soo true the right ear bud does lose connection just a little bit to much for my liking these are going back to best buy and the B&O E8 are my next buy. Can't wait till u review those 👂 buds and give your review. Hitting that subscribe button now can't wait till the next one.

    I have an audio production degree. I just bought these. I made them pump in the first hour. I use Spotify to play music. When I first turned them on and played Spotify, yea they're flat and quiet. Open up the Spotify EQ and crank everything up. I'm very familiar with iTunes and know their EQ is capable of this. If you know what you're doing you can boost everything and make smaller cuts to maintain clarity. Hopefully they allow us to take control of the Sony Headphone app EQ instead of just factory presets so we can EQ pre-music player. You'll see they have the push. Loud enough to damage your ears. I'm actually liking the warmth in the low mids when I push them especially with the noise cancelling. Listening right now. Definitely keeping these!

    • @bitkarek
      @bitkarek Před 5 lety

      EQ from sony music player on my phone (xperia XZ1c) is working. I turned the app EQ off and use only the player EQ and the sound is very nice, clear, with nice clear bass and trebles aswell. Usually i run about 50-60% volume. The only bad thing about the sound is the hiss in calm silent parts of music. But its slight. I guess thats due to the size of it all, the amps and distances inside the earbud.

    I am in 1000% in agreement with you on sound drop outs. I live in a city where many people around me. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it didn't drop from home to office on subway, sometimes it's dropping like crazy! I had to force it to change from Ambient sound mode to Noise Cancelling. That seemed to fix the connection issues (at least for me!). However I just got a firmware update notice to 1.0.7. We shall see if it's better connection as it says it fixed some bugs on connections. Other than that, sound quality is amazing, there's no doubt about it. I have tried many other brands, I picked this one due to the sound quality.

    Just wondering, I have diagnosed autism and background noises bothers me a lot. With my Bose QC35 I can block out 90% of the sound that's outside of my room. How well does the ANC works on these earbuds for background noises (mainly noise separated by a wall, so like neighbors, cars outside etc.).

    I'm very often inside but I'm surrounded by so much tech all day. In my class (20-ish people) they've all got a laptop and a phone out constantly. Only a few people use wireless products but I don't know how all that other tech that is not connected to anything wireless will effect the connection. My wireless headphones, WH-1000X, don't have a problem with connection at all but I've heard a lot of people talking about the connection issue. I think I'll wait for the next generation, at least I think there will be one just like with the over ear headphones from the same series.

    Good review but it supports two codecs. SBC on "good connection' option. Aac on 'good quality'. At least on iPhone app. I also had issues with the Bluetooth connection (as I mentioned on your Facebook post) and, after a few commutes, decided I couldn't live with it and returned them. Shame as I did like the sound quality.

      HiddenDead X I was using an iPhone 7 plus. I gave up and took them back after a few days due to the drop outs. If they fix those I would consider getting another pair but at the moment I went with the B&o e8s.

  • @DomainRider
    @DomainRider Před 6 lety +3

    I agree with pretty much everything this review says - the earphones sound fantastic even on the standard Bluetooth SBC codec, and apart from lack of volume control on the earphones themselves, are ergonomic and easy to use - although the use of two apps (Headphones and Music Center) to control additional functions can be a little confusing.
    But for me too, the connection drop-outs are a serious problem - sometimes when walking in the park, the right earpiece loses its connection so frequently they become unlistenable. This should not happen - if they were wired earphones they'd be considered faulty.
    I'm on my second pair, in the (vain) hope that some pairs might be better than others, but the problem is still there. It's a shame - when they work OK, they're great, but when they don't they're a pain. They just can't cope with real-world use a lot of the time.

    • @TheGamingAudiophile
      @TheGamingAudiophile  Před 6 lety

      DomainRider Yea, serious bummer. Hoping the B&O H8 is the saviour.

    • @DomainRider
      @DomainRider Před 6 lety

      Whoa - I think that should be B&O *E8*... Yes, I'm waiting for reviews - although I'm concerned about their Bluetooth implementation - I bought the original B&O H8 on-ear Bluetooth headphones and found them OK sound-wise, but the Bluetooth was just awful, it would drop out if you moved your head holding the phone in front of you; I had to use them wired, but they really didn't justify the price without the wireless use.

    I wanted to ask you, if the latency issue has already being fixed or it still is a problem. Moreover, on the Sony website, they advertise, that the battery life is 8hours, if you don´t listen to music but only use Noise canceling feature. Do you have any experience with it? Thanks

    • @TheGamingAudiophile

      Robert Sýkora Latency is there but it’s small. The battery life per charge is 3.5 to 4 hours. If you don’t listen to music and only use the noise cancelling unfortunately I am not sure how long the battery will last.

      should i wait for BOSE Free?

    • @TheGamingAudiophile
      @TheGamingAudiophile  Před 6 lety

      For me, the added isolation of the WF-1000x even without ANC is a plus. The Bose SoundSport Free in quiet environments sounds very good, but the second you step into a noise environment, its sound suffers as a result. This requires you to jack up the volume which is not good for your hearing in the long run. If you are mostly listening to music in a quiet setting, than the Bose is a better option than the Sony's because they don't cut in and out as frequently.

      TheGamingAudiophile Thanks. I just ordered them after seeing your review & an update from Sony on 30-Nov-2017 regarding a firmware update to fix the connectivity issue. Although I am little worried about how resistant it will be against sweat.

    Blabbed so much and didn't even talk about the LED light. That could be an issue for some people coz it can look a bit too tacky for outdoor use

    guess the technology is not there yet...maybe another 1 to 2 generation :/ guess buying a bluetooth receiver is a better bet for wireless earphones

      Kagaya tesura It's here, just not with these Sony's. The Bang & Olufsen E8 is a great example of this technology and its potential.

  • @alelaspalmas

    So... You think this technology has not evolved enough,and it's not the moment yet? I had the Gear Iconx first Edition. Battery life was not there yet... Now, Sony were my hope, but connectivity is not there. Maybe we have to wait for the next generation? Can not understand how can they release products so expensive not working 100%... Maybe Bang and Olufsen E8...

      Alejandro García Yea, it's a mixed bag so far now. I'm hoping the B&O E8 can be the first fully solid implementation.

      I owned the e8 for about a week and I think the connectivity on E8 is actually worse than the WF-1000x's. Couldn't really bear the constant drop-offs of the right piece.

      TheGamingAudiophile I agree, the E8's are the best ones right now, I get a solid 6 hours with them. The Sony's do sound great though, just really bad battery life.
