It sounds absolutely nothing like this video, I just got them and they're quite poor.
Watch other reviews, mic quality is far worse than this video but definitely representing that of the actual product.

Purchased these 10 months ago. I think they are amazing, especially for the low price of $69.99 online from Walmart. Having the app and the equalizer makes a huge difference in my mind. I do a lot of ocean kayaking so they get wet each time, I just wipe them with a moist cloth and they are good to go. Also, battery life is as advertised.
Are they loud; so when its very windy the music remains loud? Thanks

I bought it yesterday. It meets all my needs. 10 hours linstining time. No stick. No ANC (has physical NC rubber). Small. Looks nice not junky in my ears. Click button not touch. Sound is great. All great. I am very happy to have it.

I’ve had my pair for almost a week now and I’m telling you, y’all need to pick these up. I don’t care about features but I choose these over my Beats Studio Buds and Airpod Pros everyday.

A suggestion. For the mic test in these reviews, play a sample of the best mic quality tws in the same price range and the overall best mic quality tws (maybe AirPods Pro). Will help us compare easily.
These are the best mic quality, these are the new benchmark. Not everybody wanna/afford to spend $200-300 on Apple

Got these in day one. Love the case and it's xenomorph look. No touch capacity means no accidental touches when taking them off, or just fidgeting around with them so a button is good for me. Sucks about the whole no wireless charging. Don't care bout noise cancelling much. There are others with much more at the same price but the designs are just not for me. These are clean simple and small.

Yes. I also dont need ANC as long as passive works good. Searching more about them to get them as I have lost my buds+ and they are close match with long single charge and basic sound.
How's the bass ?...as it doesn't have extrabass branding on it.
@@particletheory8776 the bass is decent, imo it comes in pretty clean but if you’re a bass head you might want to look for their extra bass headphones tho.

Your review helped my decision to buy these and they're solid in every way! Sound quality is truly incredible, especially after tweaking EQ settings. Fit is very secure, build is high quality, buttons very responsive and connection range is awesome. Only con is that they're a bit too big for my ear canals and hurt after a while but I do have small ears. Not Sony's fault.....I do recommend 👍
Are button presses quick and comfortable??

I just bought mines for 69.99 at walmart, i was looking at my options and when i saw the price for these i just had to buy them, it was a lucky shot to be honest, ive been loving these beauties.
These are simultaneously better than I thought and not as good as I expected. A very odd offering from Sony.

It's just that the competition It's just so crazy. It's not bad if you compare them to like the Pixel buds a which don't have a ton of features.
I bought this one for ,,black friday" price, and i'm very satisfy with it.
It has a basic feature set, but the comfort is perfect for my ears, and it has the typical, warm Sony sound signature with outstanding mid range, that i like.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
I was ready to dismiss these entirely, but that mic test blew me away. I won't be getting them due to the ipx rating but dammit I've been looking for something with this kind of mic quality.
I love Sony. For everything. Literally still have/use a Sony walkman. So can't wait to pick these up especially since my pixel buds are going bad.
I'm ordered this after this review. Sounds great with some EQ. The app is great and love the sound. Fits nice in the ear. Got them for 60$ here in Sweden.

I like these. They sound pretty good and are comfortable. It would be nice to have wireless charging. I'm not a huge fan of ANC either. My biggest complaint is that they don't have pass through or ambient sound. I absolutely love that feature and Im bummed these don't have it.

I'm gonna have to buy these with my Galaxy Buds+, the mic quality is just outstanding. Can get it for as little as 50£ refurbished or 65£ new which just makes it that much better.
I bought these earbuds a few weeks ago and I've got to say these are some of the best earbuds I've used fits really well inside the ear, the battery last long, the only one problem I have is that I also feel they could be just a little bit louder that being said after you set up a good EQ these earbuds are pretty loud and I just like really loud music but for most people these are more than loud enough, but I find that certain songs aren't as loud as others but I'm not going to fault sony for that it's just the quality of the song. Also one annoying thing when they are paired to my laptop and I'm watching a movie with VLC the audio sometimes drops out, but this could be a driver issue with my laptop. The only features that these don't have that I would want are noise cancelation but that would be asking alot at this price point, all the other features it doesn't have I can without for the price.

Regarding both the internet bandwidth and the problem you mentioned, you should download and install the windows driver from the product's site, not the driver that windows finds.
My son reinstalled the computer and internet speed problems started. When I downloaded and installed the driver for the internet and bluetooth card from the product page, it fixed it.
These headphones are great on their own but I really wish there was a way to rearrange the button functions or disable them as needed, as I like using tw earbuds while I sleep and the physical buttons, while great during the day, get in the way of sleep. So I really really hope in some update they can add that functionality to the app

Can you double check the microphone recording? Because the mic sounds amazing , it easily beats the other buds even the xm4 i think. Maybe the recording was wrong?
I heard that and was blown away. Miles better than the XM4's. I wonder if the camera mic was on or something. So much more breathing and digitization in the XM4's.

I bought a WF-C500 in January 2023. After very little use, the left ear suddenly got very hot and stopped working. Sony did not agree to replace or repair.
I've been rocking the Sony WF-XB700 for a couple years now so looking for another Sony upgrade, I appreciate this very useful

My wf-c500 case has been blinking orange xontinuously for 2 days. Hpw fo i fix it. It keeps blinking even when i am using the ear buds.

Wondering what the top 2 loudest buds you’ve tested are ? I’m hard of hearing and just had to return the Jabra elite 7 pro because there was just not enough volume . I’m tired of returning buds ….
These are my daily drivers, but I just lost them. Thankfully, they can be found for about $45, I bought mine for like $50 at Walmart, and they're such a good deal. The battery life plus the fact that one can be charged while the other is in your ear, gives them incredible versatility for someone who works overnights and has lots of downtime, and unfortunately I've had to use my Bose earbuds which are good quality, but they don't have the battery life and thus need to be recharged over and over again which isn't optimal for working long shifts.
Also, they're often compared to Jabra Elites, and I had the Jabra Elite 75Ts, and while the sound quality on those was great, they started crackling after about 3 months of owning, and became unusable within a year, probably a lot less, and I threw them out. These are far more durable and again, I like the flexibility that they bring. Only thing that I liked about the Jabras is that they could connect to multiple devices at the same time I'm pretty sure, and the WF-C500s have this really annoying feature where they can't even just switch from device to device, you have to physically disconnect them from your phone to connect them to your laptop for example, and also you have to do it quickly because otherwise it will just re-connect to your phone after about 5-10 seconds. Even if I turn the bluetooth on my phone off, my WF-C500s will activate bluetooth and re-connect. It's not a big deal once you know what to do, but it could be a very annoying feature.

Great review. About the soundcore liberty pro people strongly disagree on reviews.. wind blowing whistles outdoor, anc is weak, connection issues. I may have to have to buy them both to test and return one.
Update: I bought these and returned them, my partner and I could both hear the downgrade in sound quality from my three year old mpow30's costing $60. I also got the samsung galaxy buds pro to try. Very poor sound, hollow, also not beating the mpow30's.
In the end I got the senheisser momentum 2's for sound, that was cosnsistant in all reviews. I was ready to return in a heartbeat, cuz its pricey and it better fit and work well. I'm very lucky because the fit is good for me, sound is expansive and clear. I think the issue is where plastic edges can be buffed a bit where plastic part close so doesn't scratch the inside of your ear, otherwise finally very good sound, and an obvious upgrade from my mpow30's. I got the Senny's on a monthly payment because they are pricey.
THE EarFun Free Pro's for $46. Excellent touch controls, BT 5.2, ANC w/transparency mode, IPX5, long battery life, high sound quality, AAC, fast charge, 30 hours with case, Both SECURE and VERY comfortable in ear, enough said.
IF you need better voice call quality...then spend $67 and get the SOUNDCORE Life P3's.

Not connecting to MacBook Pro Mid 2012 model. MacBook Pro Bluetooth is not discovering the Sony WF-C500. I tried to Remove all existing devices, then Reset the Bluetooth, Restarted. But no success. If you know, please let me know. Thank You.

@@isaacscr at 1st i was happy and I was going to return them with Amazon because for the price it was too much. Amazon tod me to keep them and refunded anyway. Then after awhile after changing eartips and knowing they were free, i realized they weren't that bad. It still has the app and the sound really is good and doesn't sound hard in the ear, but rather smooth. The fit is comfortable and flush in my large ears. If on sale, yes buy them.
no, at first when trying them, I wasn't feeling them. I've bought better buds on eBay for the same price. But Amazon told me to keep them. I was going to return them. But after trying different size ear tips and playing around with the App, for being free, they were sounding pretty good. So I do recommend them now especially if you like the Sony sound and great App. 😉

Just got the Liberty Pro 3's. Love them, but dang I wish It had the call quality these do. That's insane, although the crowd phone calls are much nicer on the Liberty pros.
Do they include the white noise that you especially hear at lower volume levels? It's annoying, and that's why I avoid the jabra headphones.
And maybe someone has a comparison with creative outlier one?

I just bought these today and I'm having uneven battery drain on the right earbud. Been using the earbuds for a couple hours and the right earbud is at 70% while the left earbud is at 100%. Not sure what's going on but both were at 100% when I took them out of the case. Not sure if this a app glitch or there is something wrong with one of the earbuds.

Hi I'm telling all of you out there. This is really good. If you suffer from disconnected sony earbuds frequently though, there is one key reason. The other bluetooth earbuds even if switched off when placed near these makes them hiss, disconnect and malfunction. So don't use them near other audio devices your phone remembers its connection to

Hey guys, Anyone notice a strange hissing noise (predominantly in left bud)?
When something stops playing, this white noise is present for 20 seconds or so and disappears.
The main bother is that, if we notice clearly it's always present during playback and right one is of lesser intensity than the left one.
Have the same issue, just got mine and it happens every time I play audio. Disappears a few seconds after the audio is paused but starts up again when the audio starts. Please let me know if you found a remedy for this!

After watching other reviews of these, I'm pretty sure you forgot to edit in the mic example. There's no way that was the audio coming from the buds.
Alot of reviews are from 10 months ago well I just got these today and I like them alot already drove home with them in my ears very comfortable and the sound quality is nice tomorrow's the real test when I take them to work for 10 hours but I don't think I'll be returning them.

Noise cancelling is definitely in the wf-c500
I don't want/need ANC or exceptional sound, all I want it is a decent sounding good battery life and good call quality tws that I can rely on. would also love if reviewer would include mic test with only one side buds, that is how intend to use it. one at a time it would also help with the battery life.

Do any of you experience a hissing sound in the background when using these? I bought mine today and instantly noticed that it has this constant psssst noise that is especially noticable when using them on lower volume.

@@TrinhNguyen-bx9vx Yes. I tried using them with several different devices and it was the same regardless. I even played around with different Bluetooth settings to see if there is any difference, but it persists.
However I dont know if it is the characteristic of all of them or I was just unlucky, but one of the review channels replied to my question about it under his video and he said after I mentioned this hissing sound he noticed it in his pair as well.
It is just strange that none of the review channels mentioned this issue...

@@nikhilpachbhai3470 They're very high quality, comfort is really good, I like the fact that 1 charge gets 10 hours, they basically last me the whole day. Sound quality is good. I wanted button press because touch press was giving me problems. Controls work well. I don't need noice cancelling, that wasn't important for me. Also the button is just the right sensitivity, you don't have to push it too hard so you're jamming the thing in your ear. No real downsides I can think of.

Can you Bluetooth-search the earbuds while they are in the case? Would be handy when you misplaced the case or if a someone (eg child) hides it.
When it's fully charged, does the orange light turn off? I charged mine for 3 hours and the orange light didn't turn off.
The mics are amazing.
They hiss. There's white noise whenever a source is being played, even if the sound is at zero.
Can't hear it when you're listening to loud enough music, or you're in a noisy environment, but when listening to podcasts/audiobooks, or in a quiet place, it's pretty noticeable and annoying, it sounds like someone's left the faucet open. Couldn't take it, had to return them.
Hi, thanks for the comprehensive review. I am considering to buy them for my parents. Both of my old parents can only hear with their right ear (their left ear is deaf). When Facetiming with me, the idea would be my mum uses the right bud with her right ear, but my father would have also to use the left bud with his right ear too! Question : would you say it is comfortable to use the left bud in the right ear (or the right bud in the left ear)? Does it fit in and operate normally when being used with the "wrong" ear?

I've have owned many earbuds from the XM4s to the Sennheiser momentum 3s a pixel buds Pro and Galaxy buds Pro and even the Sennheiser cxs and I can say that the c500 has better audio then the Sennheiser CX and it's on par with the pixel buds Pro and the Galaxy buds Pro it's not as good as the ex and it's not as good as the xm4 or momentum 3 but those are around three times as much for $100 they sound as good as earbuds that cost $200 sure you don't get all the bells and whistles that a lot of $200 headphones have but you still get a EQ and other features in the Sony app super $100 you cannot go wrong

I put spinfit cp360 on these and the bass sounds deeper and the instrument of songs sound more dynamic just my opinion

Hi. Thank you for the excellent review. I have read some people complain about these earphones having a “white/static noise” when they are not playing sound that is annoying. Has anyone had this problem?
I just got a pair and have this problem. I saw many on Reddit complain about the same issue. I think I might just return them. Same issue with both my phone and my laptop.
Does anybody get 'floor noise' or 'static noise' when you play audio? It disappears when nothing is playing but with the initiation of any audio, the floor/static noise returns. Would anyone have a way to fix this?

I got these on clearance for 35 dollars. The call quality is good. Listening to music is bad. I compared the music quality to my iPhone wired ear buds. The difference was night and day better on the iPhone buds.
