- The mighty Sim-Lab P1X has had a complete redesign in the form of the P1X Pro. This new flagship cockpit from Sim-Lab is designed to be one of the sturdiest sim rigs on the market. Does it live up to that title and is it worth buying?

Just got one. Other than the fact that it's extremely heavy once built, this thing is absolutely 100% solid. No regrets of buying it.
It is a beast! You have to be sure to build it where you want it to be setup!
I bought some of the little wheels on the website, now I can move the rig by retracting the feet
Just got one too this thing is super solid no regrets at all
First review video of the King / Beast Sim Rig!. I have ordered one, anxious....
Thanks for great video.
Thankyou for the kind words. Honestly. You won’t be disappointed!
Finally, I've been waiting for this!
I've been waiting for this review!!! Subscribed!!
Thankyou
Thanks again for this review ! ❤🔥
Excellent review. Thanks for your honesty about the negatives.
Excellent review, answered all my questions about this particular rig. Now I know what to save for, thanks!
Also cats are always a plus. :)
Lovely looking rig there!
Great review -- this helps a lot at narrowing down which rig to pick. Now I've gotta decide whether to go with a front mount for my Simucube 2 Pro, or stick with a wheel deck since I already have the Simucube Mount for bottom mounting.
Either way, I can't wait to upgrade to my first full cockpit from my current NLR 2.0 stand.
Honestly this is a great choice. I love the wheel deck as its so versatile for any future upgrades but I'd say a dedicated front mount would probably be a more robust option. :)
Great review. Nice looking rig. Considering this or ASR6. Any idea mounting compatibility adding motion like DBox or PT Actuator, etc? Only 2 widely spaced channels.
i think at this point we get 20x more hardware a year for if we are lucky 1 good driving game per year...
Looks to be a good rig, looking forward to the day I can afford to upgrade from my trusty Playseat Challenge.
Excellent video 👍🏻
Thankyou for the kind words
I have seen someone mount the monitor mount, the opposite way, so it sticks out the front. Paired with an extension on the wheel it allowed them to get it in front of the uprights and down lower.
Sounds like a unique solution, but a very good one. Would probably be more stable than using an extension behind the monitor to move it forward.
Great review and great rig but I've seen lots pull it down saying its a step back from p1x. Gotta say looks the part. Anyhow to my main question of was this in the black friday 10% off any sim-lab product and what date did black friday start and end.?
Nice review as always my dude. Looks pretty stiff and solid
That’s what she said
Appreciate the review. I’ve got one coming. I was thinking about using the shifter extrusion to replace the long integrated monitor extrusion. Do you think this would work? I think it’s 650mm
It could work and certainly wouldn’t look as long or stick out as much. I think you’d need a minimum of 600mm so 650 would be ideal
Looking at getting this cockpit but I was just wondering if you are able to bring the monitors further forward in front of the wheel base
I'm a bit confused here, the pedal mount you have here is completely different from the one pictured on the Sim Lab website. They also mention a requrired "connector bracket" for certain pedals which I can't find anywhere on their website.
16:53 this sold me on the P1X Pro
Hey man good video, I was wondering what seat bracket you use because i can't find one.
Looks like the one on Simlab's shop
Thx for the Test.
How would you rate the stiffness of the old P1X with this P1X Pro version? The wheel deck of the old P1X looks much more robust than that of the P1X Pro for example. I find it hard to judge the quality of the new P1X Pro at the moment.
i agree, old p1x looks more stiff
@TharesTY / @SimRacingSetups is there a reply for this message? Interested in the question YT shows a reply but expanding on tread doesn't load anything.
Good review. Some complaints so far that i've heard about that slanted vertical uprights: seems like the monitors may be a bit tricker to slot in? I wonder how triple 27" monitors will squeeze between the front of the upright, but behind the wheel. And, you will have to wait for sim-lab to release shims that allow you to mount button boxes to the front of the uprights, as they will inevitably point down due to the angle (let alone, being able to mount anything, as they removed more slots for a sleeker look).
However, if you do get a simucube mount for it, i believe you can put the button boxes on the sides of the wheelbase now (as opposed to the odd cutouts of the one-piece front-panel it used to be on P1X Non-pro).
Thankyou! Your concerns about the vertical uprights are completely valid. Most importantly, mounting anything leads to sloped/angled mounting like you say. I think a mounting adapter plate is in the works and I really hope when made it ships with the P1X or future rigs as standard
I think you can lower these slanted vertical uprights to the point where they hit the ground. When you are still short of space, elevate the whole rig trough the adjustable feet. Might compromise the looks a bit, but you will create more space above.
im just wondering how you connect everything? Like 3 monitors? back of my gpu only has one more slot for hdmi
I’m trying to use my 65 inch tv as a display. I know it probably won’t work on the monitor mount for this rig. What tv stands will work for this rig?
Great video
Thanks!
Absolutely lovely looking rig. Can you confirm those 'simlab' decals are stickers? I thought they were laser engraved, but seems not to be the case.
They're stickers which you can choose to install or not. They come seperately so you can run it all black if you want :)
hey mate, i cant seem to find the simlab seats on their uk website, do they sell them here?
About the height of the uprights: if they stick up too far, can't just just slide them down a little bit?
Because the tall feet, there shouldn't be a problem if the uprights extend a bit below the "base" of the cockpit I think?
Exactly 😉
@sim-lab_official can you tell me how wide the single monitor mount is?also it doesn't appear to be in stock(the p1x itself). About how long would it take for me to recieve it in the US?
Do you have to climb over that horizontal bracket or does the seat go far back enough you can climb in easily, and does this support motion systems?
I normally get in from the other side where there is no horizontal bar. I don't know for sure about motion I'm afraid. Presume it would being profile.
Are you able to get the monitor closer? Trying to see if this monitor mounts is able to Mount right above the steering column when using sim again alpha front Mount.
I could theoretically get the monitor a few inches closer to the seat if required so you may be alright. I guess you could also mount the monitor to the mount using spacers to get it even closer too
Can someone tell me if this rig is suitable for big and tall people?
Is this rig compatible with motion systems???
PLEASE tell me how you mounted that moza handbrake
Two t-nuts into the upright frame, then flipped the handbrake lever :)
Can we get an F1 pilot position like ? Please …
Would the integrated mount fit a 42" display?
Yea there is so much adjustability
How wide is the single monitor mount? Im trying to shove it in a tight corner 😂
Why would I buy this if I can't adjust the steering back and forth easy? I don't get it.
Nice Review. Got a follow from me! Can you give more Infos on the Seat. Im 195cm tall, weight 110kg, trouser waist 34. do you think this will fit?
Thankyou man. Yea it'd fit. I'm a 32-34 waist and it fits fine and height wise you have a lot of scope to adjust pedals and seat to fit even if your tall.
Great Review! Helped me confirm my choice. New subscriber.
I just pre-ordered with the Black Friday deal. I added the seat brackets and slider, as well as the pedal baseplate and slider.
This should allow you to keep the uprights in a fixed spot and just use the sliders for simple forward and back adjustments to get the wheel perfect (or adjust for different people).
I agree, you don't want to be adjusting 10 bolts every time to get the wheel right.
1 negative for me is that I had to purchase my seat from a 3rd party. The U.S. Sim-Lab page doesn't have any seats available currently.
What's up with the US not having any seat available? I like the blue seat color of sim lab seats. 💺👍
Thanks for the kind words. Good call on the seat slider. I was very particular about the back of my seat lining up with the rear of the rig which is why I adjusted the actual vertical position of the uprights 😂😂 Yea not sure why Sim-Lab don’t ship seats to the US. I’ve noticed that for a while, must be some sort of distribution issue 🤷🏻♂️ Glad you managed to find one though!
I like how all these "reviewers" dont even review people like rseat which is way easier and rock solid i mean the thing is simply awesome
Which Rseat? Their aluminum profile rigs or the tube rigs?
Exactly, i’ve been thinking of selling my TR TRX and buy a aloy rig. Hesitating between this simlab, TR160 and the Rseat A1-160
KITTY!
Cost ?
I included it at around 2:06
I liked the look of this rig before watching this review. I honestly think Simlab have dropped the ball on a few things. The pedals overhanging or even a pedal plate. Looks dreadful to me. Yes getting rid of the the two slots on the bottom profiles looks more aesthetically pleasing but then it also reduces customability in future after youve bought the rig if you want to add things further down the line. Then there's ofcourse what you already mentioned like the uprights being in the way if you use the integrated monitor mount and the awfully tediuos process of wheel position adjustability.
From one of the OG's in cockpit design/rigidity. Im a little bit disappointed now. As I've been eyeing up this rig to upgrade from my current rig. As it sure does look aesthetically pleasing thats for sure!
I can agree with some of those points for sure. However it is an absolutely rock solid rig. After living with it for quite a while now, the main issue I face that still bugs me is the steering wheel position adjustability when changing between different wheels, having to move the uprights forward and back. However, for many, there will be no need to make this adjustment after the initial setup.
