6:46 And Billy didn't want to remove any more of theceiling because he was sick of the dust! Look at what just fell from the upper floor to the old refectory below!
Didn't expect the removal of a 250+ year old floor to make me oddly emotional. To imagine what those floors have seen over the years... I know the renovation will breathe beautiful new life into the Convent, however - well done Billy and crew on all the hard work, as per usual!
Nuns weren't exempt from the politics of the day or from war, and the folk they cared for certainly weren't. I'd be interested in how this lot fared in WW2.
It was hard to understand how thick the floor is until I saw it exposed. Amazing to watch you guys work, too. You're making the convent better than new! Love ya!
With all the false ceilings installed over the years it was difficult to really get a picture of high the room will be. It's going to be quite an amazing space when it's done.
WOW! that looks like really old School mud and straw floors. Imagine the time it took to build all the stone walls, the mud/clay and straw floors. Amazing.
I am loving the progress at the Convent. I know the library will look as fabulous as the kitchen does whenever it is completed. You definitely have a great team helping you! ❤
Like the “pry and jump” floor removal action Yanis and Rick had going there. Wishing you all a restful and dust-free weekend you hard working Crack Oners!
Seeing that dust flying around makes me feel like half of it is flying up my nose!! The guys really love tearing the ceiling & the floor up, especially Yannis and Dad P. or Rick never seems to tire. Great job !! Crack on men
The light coming through is actually beautiful through the dust. Great work by everyone. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Yanis (and anyone working with tons of air muck), I'm sure it isn't the most comfortable thing but I'm so glad to see you wearing lung protection. You work so hard. I wouldn't want you to get gunk in lungs.
The dirt version of painting yourself into a corner. You have to wonder what it smelled like on very damp days. Coughing and sneezing must have been an art.
Not sure why but this one made me nervous. Kept thinking something was going to collapse. But then I’d realize that if that had happened there wouldn’t be a video today 😉
That is the only reason I can watch. Otherwise, I would be a nervous wreck! I really do care, as we all do knowing what fine people they all are.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Billy, your team is awesome. I love watching them working everyday. To watch you transform the building is just amazing. It’s history unfolding before our eyes. The mud in and straw in the walls and floors. Thank you for sharing!!💕💕💕💕🇺🇸
I was wondering if the clear panes were wavy glass with the bubbles and undulations in them considering the age of the convent. That I would truly want to save and reinstall somewhere else.
Billy, I am so impressed with your Dad, Rick and Yannnis. They are amazing people. Yannis is small, but mighty. He is very strong, and works really hard. What a great member of your team. That should not take anything away from Rick, your Dad, and you. I'm so happy that you take us all along for the adventure. Now, is Michael going to be back on Monday, and have things been progressing in the Chateau kitchen? Take care. Have a wonderful weekend. We all love all of you.
That was exciting to watch and start to see what it will be like when opened up! It is going to be tall and amazing. I am looking forward to seeing your vision come together!😊
We need a Petherick Calendar; don't forget Yannis. Month to month. I'd buy one. But a calendar of the mighty men who tear the places up and hey! let's not be shy about showing some crack. Ha-ha. I love it. What a thrill this is. Oooooooo cough, cough, dusty dust! Yes, a calendar for sure.
Dust, dust and more dust. The share volume of dirt in these floors is kinda facinating to me. You must all be looking forward to the reconstruction phase where there will be "no dust?" Fantastic work guys! Keep cracking on!
A lot of wood to reuse. Yannis the firecracker. :) Billy your Dad is sweet heart. Is that dirt they are removing? Till next week, everyone enjoy your weekend.
Great music choices in today's video, Billy. I've been missing that of late. Amazing watching all the hard work taking place. Love seeing your dad working with all of you. How wonderful for him to be right in there helping out. I bet he wouldn't have it any other way. Clearly your Dad is not the sort that would want to sit and do nothing.
Billy, if you put a "box fan" in a window and face it outwards it will act as an exhaust fan and blow some of the dust out of the room. Keep up the hard work. Jean from Texas
If I owned this building, I would construct apartments on the upper floors and use the first floor as a venue for conferences, retreat days, and weddings, which would make use of the chapel and kitchen.
Great progress for sure, but I must say, your documentation of the dismantling of the floor was superb. Amazing angles of view and the one taken from the ground floor of the debris field being dropped below (with mondo dust) was palpable. Thank you so much for bringing us all along through your journey. Best to all of you from sunny California.
Billy the shot of your dad leaning against the wall looking down at the floor below was AWESOME. it reminded me of my grandfather. Your video skills are so grand.
Hello EVERYONE!! What a lot of dust blowing about, also the large amount of that work has been done over the past few days too is incredible. Best wishes from Lincolnshire
If I understand this correctly, back when they constructed the convent, they put mud and hay mixed together to make insulation between the ceiling on the 1st floor and the floor of the 2nd floor? Is that why there is so much dust?
Was doing some mental Maths trying to approximate the number of books needed to fill a double-height room of these dimensions with the gallery... especially quality editions... guessing Billy has a plan? Cornering the used book market?😂
Billy, you have been so blessed to find such a marvelous young man like Yannis. He is such a hard worker and I love how he watches out for your dad. You have some great help there. Love your channel.
A heck of a lot of dust, hope your lungs are OK after that job. You and your team have accomplished a lot this week, enjoy the weekend and crack on Monday.🙏❤️
Yanis is a work horse! He's small but mighty! You've worked hard this week. Here's to a relaxing weekend. 🥩🥔🌽🥖🥗🥧🥤
Yannis is amazing.
🇨🇦👋 🤣 As I get older, I wish some days, they could expose my frame to remove the creeks and crannies ands replace what has become physically weak. 😂
As we become classics the parts get harder to find, same problem as you.
I am on a parts hold right now. They don't know where to start! 😅
😅
Same here!!
Me too.

Demolition exposes the innovative ways that structures were built in different eras and locations of our world. Progress is a beautiful thing.
Imagine the hands that built that place. The skill, the time. Amazing.
Wow the amount of dirt removed must weigh a couple of ton. Well done crew. Enjoy the weekend you have earned some time off.
🍺 🍻 time😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
6:46 And Billy didn't want to remove any more of theceiling because he was sick of the dust! Look at what just fell from the upper floor to the old refectory below!
I thought that as well
Cracks me up! 😂
🤣🤣
Going to be so exciting watching this project unfold. Can't wait to see the progress at the Chateau Kitchen next week.
So glad to see the respirators!

Not much it was a nunnery 😂

Obviously, if there is anything hidden anywhere in that building, you are definitely going to find it!
With all the false ceilings installed over the years it was difficult to really get a picture of high the room will be. It's going to be quite an amazing space when it's done.

The Rick Jump was the best!
Tired of the dust from the ceiling ? 😂😂 what about the ground ? I thought it was even more dusty !! Crack on guys !
Exactly what I was thinking!
Me too! Lol
Impossible to not think back to Billy’s comment and have a laugh as the dust flew around 😅
Seeing that dust flying around makes me feel like half of it is flying up my nose!! The guys really love tearing the ceiling & the floor up, especially Yannis and Dad P. or Rick never seems to tire. Great job !! Crack on men
Your vision and three of the hardest workers around are inspiring!
The light coming through is actually beautiful through the dust. Great work by everyone. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
This is the scary part...I keep thinking someone is going to fall thru....but I'm still watching....❤❤❤❤
This team Rocks!!!!! Billy Dad, Yannis and Rick!!! my respect!!!
Really glad to see Sadie back doing well with her channel! Greetings to all of the Petherick clan! Happy May everyone! Thomas!
Yanis (and anyone working with tons of air muck), I'm sure it isn't the most comfortable thing but I'm so glad to see you wearing lung protection. You work so hard. I wouldn't want you to get gunk in lungs.
Just missed the window tossing down that last timber. 👀
I see your vision for the library Billy! It's going to be beautiful!❤
Wow, when you “crack on”, you crack on!!
The dirt version of painting yourself into a corner. You have to wonder what it smelled like on very damp days. Coughing and sneezing must have been an art.

The floor was held together by hopes and prayers...
WELL DONE RICHARD YSNNIS AND DAD YOUVE WORKED SO HARD YOULL NEED A HOLIDAY AFTER ALL THIS PHYSICAL WORK
A camp n cook night in the woods lol.
I fear for those windows below. So many close calls with large beams heading downstairs.
Billy, your team is awesome. I love watching them working everyday. To watch you transform the building is just amazing. It’s history unfolding before our eyes. The mud in and straw in the walls and floors. Thank you for sharing!!💕💕💕💕🇺🇸
Watching that old insulation come out was amazing 🎉🎉🎉
If you guys get a spray bottle with water you can spray the demo area and greatly reduce the amount of dust.
and wear masks!
It's what we used to do to keep the dust down.....spray the floors.
That intro music reminds me of Downton Abby.
Yanis is a beast! Oi Billy, dust, what dust?
You really earned your Friday beer this week. 😘
"It's Friday, we're not gonna work that hard"......😲😲😲
Such hard workers
I suppose all those windows are to be replaced? Looked like they were in great danger of getting smashed by falling beams.
I was wondering if the clear panes were wavy glass with the bubbles and undulations in them considering the age of the convent. That I would truly want to save and reinstall somewhere else.
Yanis is a “ monster “
Another fantastic week. I miss the Friday pub run.😊
Might be why Billy lost the belly.
Billy, I am so impressed with your Dad, Rick and Yannnis. They are amazing people. Yannis is small, but mighty. He is very strong, and works really hard. What a great member of your team. CONGRATULATIONS on a week of amazing progress at the convent! Well done! Looking forward to seeing your next video!
That was exciting to watch and start to see what it will be like when opened up! It is going to be tall and amazing. I am looking forward to seeing your vision come together!😊
your vision is taking shape!
Too late for this year but a great idea for next year.
Yanis would make an amazing surfer now, after riding the scaffolding all day 😂
Well done all of you! 🍻
So much organic material between ceiling and floor 😨. And to see the terrible shape of those wooden beams 😬
That smiling beam worries me...😮
Really like this format!!! Getting right into the action instead of being told what's going to happen. Great job!!!!!
I'm so excited watching another step forward at the convent 😊
We're tired of the ceiling dust. It's Friday, let's do something easy - and make FLOOR dust! 🙂
Wow what a view out both floor windows.
Dust, dust and more dust. The share volume of dirt in these floors is kinda facinating to me. You must all be looking forward to the reconstruction phase where there will be "no dust?" Fantastic work guys! Keep cracking on!
Everyone have a blessed weekend 😊
My anxiety worked over time 😂. Great work everyone. 😊🏴
A lot of wood to reuse. Yannis the firecracker. :) Billy your Dad is sweet heart. Is that dirt they are removing? Till next week, everyone enjoy your weekend.
Unbelievable! What a transformation! You are all magic!
I held my breath every time one of those beams fell, close call with the windows 😆 exciting times to come 🥰
Billy, if you put a "box fan" in a window and face it outwards it will act as an exhaust fan and blow some of the dust out of the room. Keep up the hard work. Jean from Texas
Thank you for sharing, how quickly you are all working 😊
If I owned this building, I would construct apartments on the upper floors and use the first floor as a venue for conferences, retreat days, and weddings, which would make use of the chapel and kitchen.
All that dirt reminded me of Ryan’s house. They seemed to love to use dirt for upper story floors back then!
Yanis is proving himself to be a valuable asset to you Billy. He’s such a hard worker and seems eager to please.
Great progress for sure, but I must say, your documentation of the dismantling of the floor was superb. Amazing angles of view and the one taken from the ground floor of the debris field being dropped below (with mondo dust) was palpable. that's going to look beautiful! you definitely are a man of vision billy. inspiring to see. blessings from america.
I know Yannis is probably the youngest there, but that kid is going to be sore tomorrow. Great work.
playback. We donate for a spa day?😊
@elizabethbesco4758 oh I'm in. He deserves it
Billy the shot of your dad leaning against the wall looking down at the floor below was AWESOME. it reminded me of my grandfather. Your video skills are so grand.
Hello EVERYONE!! What a lot of dust blowing about, also the large amount of that work has been done over the past few days too is incredible. Best wishes from Lincolnshire
The team works so well together. Such hard work! Stay safe and guard your backs💕💕💕💕
If I understand this correctly, back when they constructed the convent, they put mud and hay mixed together to make insulation between the ceiling on the 1st floor and the floor of the 2nd floor? Is that why there is so much dust?
Absolutely love this journey!! So happy and privileged to be able to see this development come to fruition. Tx to everyone!😊🇨🇦👍🏼💕🙏
Go on lad give it some welly
Scaffolding tower guard rail is not high enough to prevent a fall!
Hello Billy .. from soggy rainy Blighty .. again 💦🫤
WOW…it will be so bright with all those huge windows! Great work!
A lot off dirt in the floors
Several hundred years' worth!
Wattle and daub insulation?
Geeze Yannis , I think you could take wolverine on.
I don't even want to know how much dirt was in there! LOL
An aside to the mammoth work you are undertaking and your vision, I just love your music. Today’s was fabulous. Congrats to the musicians
Plenty of firewood for next winter Billy 😊
I was thinking “ Let there be light! “ the second story windows will flood this room with glorious sunlight.
Lots of changes in the varies rooms, but did anybody noticed the transformation of Billy? 🤩
Yanis is the Energizer Bunny, always full on!
Mmmm that ghost are going to get lost now
It is so exciting to see the library coming along. That floor was absolutely scary! Have fun guys you are doing a fantastic job.
Bless your hearts, what a job!
That’s progress.
Awesome photography
Oh the dust!
I cant believe how much dirt was used again. I was so worried that someone would miss a board and fall. Thank the heavens no one did. WOW!
Was doing some mental Maths trying to approximate the number of books needed to fill a double-height room of these dimensions with the gallery... especially quality editions... guessing Billy has a plan? Cornering the used book market?😂
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Well done!
Simply AMAZING gentleman!!
Billy, you have been so blessed to find such a marvelous young man like Yannis. He is such a hard worker and I love how he watches out for your dad. You have some great help there. Love your channel.
Omg Yanis is like a work mule… little guy but soo strong!! ❤ You are so blessed to have him!!.
Billy... You have one awesome crew very hard workers. I love you guys.
With all the demo going on and all the improvements on the convent - I bet you’ve scared all the ‘ ghosts ‘ away !!!! 🙏🤣🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yannis is amazing! Such stamina and determination. I don't know how he does it. Bravo! 🙌
A heck of a lot of dust, hope your lungs are OK after that job. You and your team have accomplished a lot this week, enjoy the weekend and crack on Monday.🙏❤️
wow. almost took that one window out! Hope it makes it easier to get the new beam supports.
