As someone who has spent years dealing with elderly relatives I can tell you people over 70 don't bounce back as quick as they did when they were 25. Especially if there's blood loss involved. She's probably covered in bruises too. It'll probably be another few weeks before she's back in fighting form. Best wishes to her and her husband. He sounds like he's taking real good care of her.

Head injuries can be minor or serious and can be fatal as in her case. Princess Anne wouldn’t have been released from the hospital if they deemed it extremely serious but obviously she is on strict instructions from her medical team and they will still be monitoring her at home. I hope she gets the care and the rest that she needs and will resume Royal duties when she has been declared medically fit.
I remember that as well. Also crossed my mind was Princess Grace of Monaco. After the accident it was reported she had a broken leg, not serious. Next , she was gone. Diana attended the funeral as the Queen's representative. 😪

I think slimming down the monarchy was not a bad idea, but who could have foretold the King, the Princess of Wales, and the Princess Royal would all need extensive time off at the same time? It's great to see other members of the RF jumping in to help the way they have.
Paying the Princess Royal will recover as quickly as possible! At 32, I had a head injury where i tripped on wet grass, in winter, and fell onto my concrete garden wall. It put a nice gash on my temple and lot quite a lot of blood until someone had been able to come and call an ambulance. Even tho I was discharged later that day, I was told to "take it easy". I thought I felt fine. But I started to feel a strange head fog and tire very easily, but i was as fit as I had ever been. Even tho the injury officially healed, some days I did not feel 'right'. I did decide to step back from some commitments, and it was only maybe 6 months later when i had fully recovered that I did realise just how strange head injuries can make you feel. You do need to rest - mentally as well as physically rest a lot and take it slow after a severe concussion. No matter how fit you think you are.
I had a head injury when I was in the Air Force and was effectively grounded for six weeks. I passed medical but ended up lying to the doctors about my random bouts of double vision in order to get back on unrestricted duty. I hope the Princess Royal doesn’t do what I did, but instead listens and follows doctors orders. She owes those of us outside the UK and the Commonwealth absolutely nothing, but she is a global inspiration and example of hard work and duty. Whether she knows it or not, or would ever acknowledge it, her example as a great human touches and inspires us. Get well and try not to go stir crazy. All the love, from America.

I remember that as well. Also crossed my mind was Princess Grace of Monaco. After the accident it was reported she had a broken leg, not serious. Next , she was gone. Diana attended the funeral as the Queen's representative. 😪

It's so sad that the Royal Family has suffered so many health issues. Even so, they've handled it with the usual grace and dignity. Concussion is nothing to gloss over. This can be very serious, both short and long term. May she recover quickly and completely. The family certainly needs her.

Paying the Princess Royal will recover as quickly as possible! At 32, I had a head injury where i tripped on wet grass, in winter, and fell onto my concrete garden wall. It put a nice gash on my temple and lot quite a lot of blood until someone had been able to come and call an ambulance. Even tho I was discharged later that day, I was told to "take it easy". I thought I felt fine. But I started to feel a strange head fog and tire very easily, but i was as fit as I had ever been. Even tho the injury officially healed, some days I did not feel 'right'. I did decide to step back from some commitments, and it was only maybe 6 months later when i had fully recovered that I did realise just how strange head injuries can make you feel. You do need to rest - mentally as well as physically rest a lot and take it slow after a severe concussion. No matter how fit you think you are.

I had a head injury when I was in the Air Force and was effectively grounded for six weeks. I passed medical but ended up lying to the doctors about my random bouts of double vision in order to get back on unrestricted duty.
I hope the Princess Royal doesn’t do what I did, but instead listens and follows doctors orders.
She owes those of us outside the UK and the Commonwealth absolutely nothing, but she is a global inspiration and example of hard work and duty. Whether she knows it or not, or would ever acknowledge it, her example as a great human touches and inspires us.
Get well and try not to go stir crazy. All the love, from America.

I am honestly worried for her. I've been reading that she has severe memory issues and she received serious injury, which, of course, is obvious. I pray for her and hope she does not suffer long term health issues. Thank you Neil. Do keep us updated. She is an international treasure.❤❤
